They weren’t assassinated before her, no presidential candidate or nominee was murdered, those were local political candidates standing in the same federal election. My point is that this election tells us nothing about men’s sexism (or not) because men were not choosing between a male and female candidate for president, they were choosing between two women.

I agree. I think this is generally an odd take from OP, although I guess we’re in the minority here. Of all the challenges and injustices men face in Western society right now, I don’t think this is remotely close to the most important or damaging. Anecdotally I do still see and hear of women being blamed for things, and while there may often by apologists trying to pull the “sexism!” card in their defense, there’s still plenty of criticism to go around for women in power.
