Someone should do an analysis of how often those names are actually mentioned in "incel" spaces vs. "feminist" ones. I bet the results would be enlightening lol.

Sometimes I'll be a little perplexed why they even think we'd be doing / thinking a certain thing en-masse. And then I realize, its because they think it and are projecting onto us, lol. Modern "feminism" really isn't asking them to do much introspective work, its all projected outward onto men/patriarchy, to the point they lose / atrophy their self-awareness after a while.

"That's a common misconception. Ockham's Razor is not necessarily the simplest explanation; it's the explanation that makes the fewest assumptions." And my point remians the same: do you really think the complex feminist theory you describe makes fewer assumptions than biologic sex difference? Because it actually assumes a lot more from where I'm sitting (and where most evidence-based scientific research currently supports, "biased" or otherwise.) "I meant to imply the same for all mammals, not …

"No, feminists have believed in the cultural explanation since the second wave. Before widespread adoption from feminists, it goes back at least as far as Karl Marx..." Maybe to some extent, but not nearly the blind faith its believed with today... realizing socialization affects men and women differently never precluded the existence of biological psychological differences like they try to say today, just added to the explanation (nature AND nurture). I find it interesting though that you're ci…

"More scientists now seem to be claiming that it's both, but I don't think those are the majority." That sounds a bit contradictory. Are you saying more are claiming it now than use to, but they still aren't a majority of scientists? Do you have sources/evidence to support that? In my experience, the "hard sciences" (and even many social sciences) have been fairly unanimous its a combination of "nature and nurture". Because frankly, knowing just what we know about the hormonal differences betwee…

"That's learned behavior, not some male nature." Is there extensive evidence one way or the other? Sounds like the "nature vs nurture" debate, which I thought the general consensus among scientists was: "it's both". It's usually only the "feminists" these days trying to claim men and women are psychologically identical and everything is socialization. I hear what you're saying about the dangers of allowing men and women to be held to different standards though, and agree to some extent. But I've…

I'm sure the use varies by region. I guess I'd be referring mostly to the US.

The only times I've personally heard it used to refer to grown men is for the more modern "feminist" uses and occasionally wifes maybe playfully referring to her husband or something. I havent seen grown men excusing their own behaviors with "boys will be boys" (unless they're joking) because doing so would probably come of as weak / childish / accountability-avoidance, that we tend to get a bad taste for. But yeah, that would be lame if people use it like that.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates08/08/26 06:44 PM

It use to be a fairly innocent phrase used to describe the rowdy / rebellious nature of boys and young men. But the "feminists" twisted it into some kind of "proof" that society excuses poor behavior from men, while conveniently overlooking their own kinds of "poor behavior" society excuses.

This, it upsets the power balance they're use to. Same reason the TERFs hate trans women so much, they view them as "moving in on their terf" (pun intended), and wanting the same privileges and protections as a real woman. Similar reasoning why they get so upset about porn, prostitution, and sex bots, it devalues their power. Now I doubt many of them are conciously thinking about / planning these things, I think its on a much more instinctual/visceral level than that, to where they aren't aware …

I think "Democrats" would still be their official party name (most of them anyway). "Liberal" is broader than the official party but is more used as a slang way to refer to them, often with derogatory connotations. Ex. "Bleeding heart Liberals", etc.

"Usually I call them whatever they call themselves." Sound like the same as here then. Especially in this sub, half the time people are talking about the political group "Liberals" vs. "liberal" ideals", in positive and negative ways. I'm sure it would be confusing for different dialects. But just the nature of our demographic I guess and that most these "gripes" are from inside liberalism. Because most of us also recognize "liberalism", we're just calling out those "Liberals" for not recognizin…

Then what would you call the real-world "left-leaning political party that normally believes itself liberal but regularly does very unliberal things"? Assuming you would just call them "bigots", how would you differentiate between "left-leaning bigots" and "right-leaning bigots"? I don't disagree, precision of language is important, and we shouldnt let them redefine words to better suite their narrative (like they love to do), but also stay flexible enough so we at least all know which groups we…

Probably just a language-barrier. "Liberal" in the U.S. refers more to the political group than to the fixed / consistent ideology of "liberalism". That political group usually thinks they're being liberal, but ironically can have some pretty bigoted takes a lot of the time. I think thats why people downvoted.

Thats a good question. Basically, the implied victimhood is the only thing they would "lose" in that trade-off, but boy do they fight to keep that! It's a shame too, because that would solve a lot of the issues with "feminists" tendency to drift into bigotry: getting back to gender-neutral language and advocacy (which they claim to be about when its convenient). I can't imagine them doing that willingly though, they're too far gone post gender-war IMO. Seems more likely to see a new egalitarinis…

Especially as their ranks have increased in the internet/social media era. Its kinda hard to make the claim they "aren't real feminists" when the "real feminists" have become an extreme minority. And that would be alright if "real feminists" were willing to "keep a clean house" and regularly call out hate/extremism, but they usually aren't. Its all one big cesspool were meant to accept as valid.

I think one of my replies on their thread that may have gave me away from sarcasm: "Why is men falling behind in college a problem? Why was women falling behind in tech/stem a problem? Same reason as that I suppose!" It really is perplexing sometimes how they don't see/notice the inconsistency of their "egalitarianism", but I guess thats the power of making a people believe they're oppressed. The small bit of hope I hold out is that more and more liberal men seem to be realizing feminism is prob…

Probably part of it, but that one site had 8x as many "female designated" scholarships as "male designated" ones, which is a lot more pronounced than even the current split of college-eligible women to men. I'd imagine much of that difference could be traced to the "women are wonderful" effect and societies tendency evaluate women falling behind as systemic issues while men falling behind as.. something else.

If it any consolation, my first attempt at posting it here was removed too. Because I linked to the convo and showed my chats, they were worried about "brigading" I guess. I reposted without any links and they're lettin it stay so far.

Mainly why I posted it. I wanted to show folks (if they didnt know already) this kind of crap happens constantly on the "good feminist subs" too. They're only interested in one "truth", evidence and reality be-damned.

You're totally right. I just think when they remove comments like that, that otherwise play by their sub rules and basic tenants of Feminism, its just the "smoking gun" for every time they try to make the claim they're about equality or egalitarianism. They're not. They're actually about information control, a core pillar of fascism lol.

Classic simps lol. I think our disproportionate sex drives hold us back a lot from having these kinds of convos with women, or even realizing what the issues are. A lot of young guys are terrified of being labeled "incel" and "losing access", and are willing to sacrafice their self-respect and let the "feminists" lead them by the nose to avoid it. I know for me, it wasn't till my sex drive died down with age and medication that I was even able to see the full picture of how indoctrinated / subju…

Come to think of it, I wouldn't be suprised if thats one of the things that flags our accounts for shadow-bans. We ask for just a bit more supporting evidence than what they're use to lmao.

They operate on a completely different wavelength (cough low bar cough) when it comes to providing evidence for the things they want to believe lol. Side effect of existing mostly in echo chambers I guess, but its like they kept offering up small bits of evidence that "feel" counter to my claim, but don't actually look at the simple thing you would need to compare, and go "ha see, proof!" lmao.

The problem is: what is considered "tolerant/intolerant" is subjective a lot of the time. Meaning all folks have to do is convince themselves (or others) a certain thought / behavior / class is intolerant, and that apparently excuses intolerant behavior toward them. But that "excuse" is based on a subjective evaluation, which people are notoriously bad at. Edit: We use to just say things like: "I'm against intolerance" or "I don't support intolerance", which kinda implies the rest. When they sta…

I can only imagine shes heard of all those things at one point or another and drifted in one ear and out the other because it didn't fit nicely enough with her worldview. Its kinda like the link is saying: theres all these credible studies coming out now saying essentially: hey maybe feminism overassumed some things and boys are being affected in ways we didn't predict or plan for. They simply don't care lol. It seems like "feminism" as become less and less about science the more modern studies …

Lol fair enough. What I meant by "male feminist" though is that I put on my "male feminist" hat and used all their rules/parlance and still got banned, because they just didn't like what I was talking about lol.

All good points and I mostly agree. I don't think the "lower enrollment starting young" means its entirely independent from the scholarship thing though.. You don't think even in adolescence kids develop some unspoken insights into how the world works? If I'm a boy who's come across 100s of various "women in tech" / " women in stem" and only like 2 or 3 mens education programs by the time I'm 12, Im gonna assume those paths are geared more for them too, cause they are, so I'd have to try even ha…

"Had upvotes and support from other members arguing against a woman who was obviously sexist and treated it as an opportunity for a capitalist advantage." Its pretty easy for most of them to maintain the illusion of moral highground by not signing off on explicitly sexist / "anti-equality" stuff (I was a "feminist" once upon a time too.) Yeah, I guess I still remember Feminism from like 30 years ago when they collectively held themselves to a higher / more egalitarian standard. Such a far cry from today. The most insidious / annoying part of it today, is they'll shamelessy advocate for the unbounded advancement of women at the expense of men and fairness, and when you call out its not egalitarian, so why should we advocate for it? They go: "Nah! Look at my egalitarian Feminist hat from 30 years ago!" Trying to stay "claiming the…

I know what you mean by "bittersweet". For decades we watched our female classmates regularly given easier paths while preaching to us how privileged we are. More than once thought I was losing my sanity. Now the numbers back up what we've been saying all along. We'll see how bad it has to get before they actually let us aknowledge / address it though.

Its basically the "women are wonderful effect". "Women are slightly underrepresented in certain high paying professions? We better spend tons of money and resources on grants, scholarships, and DEI to level out the playing field, those poor babies!" Compared to: "Men aren't even going to / graduating college as much as women now because they feel so unsupported and discriminated against. Oh well, sounds like a 'them' problem, they must be doing it wrong!" /s

Its often the younger guys too, because their sex drive is higher, and they're too young/naive to have learned they won't actually be exiled from sex for questioning "feminism". A lot of women paradoxically respect a guy who stands up for himself over the ones bending over backwards on "feminist" whims. But they won't tell you that in highschool. Thats why positive male role-models are so important, need someone to tell you the truths society won't.

The whole "MRA recruitment" narrative is such a massive cope. Nobody with room temperature IQ follows those grifters. Its been painfully obvious a while now, many "incels" are often more consistent to original Feminist values than many "feminists" these days. They usually write it off as "incels" trying to use "feminism" as a weapon. When all we're asking is for them to be consistent to their own principles. So we can all follow them in good faith again.
