Ugh. I’m sorry, man. My wife cheated, too. It’s soul-crushing. I hope you’re doing alright. I’m still in shock/anger.

Honestly, with three boys, I just find ways to motivate them. My ex was the lazy one. She would live in filth if I let her. I was raised differently. I also believe your environment is a reflection of your mind. If it’s a mess, so are you. If it’s immaculate, you’ve either got your shit together, or you at least know what’s import and that’s what counts. Nothing gives me peace of mind more than cleanliness. Even my ex would always comment on how nice it was to have a clean house. Advice to anybo…

I also walk a ton. I’ve lost 30lbs in six weeks. Mostly from a lack of appetite. No time to really workout. I drive for DoorDash at night. That makes an extra $350-400 a week

I cry all the time. It’s pathetic, but cathartic at the same time. I usually get to a point where I almost start laughing about how much I’ve carried on.

The tools are symbolic of what’s to come. Let em keep their little girl Ryobi. She’ll be worn out soon enough. Hope you find a DeWalt someday. Cheers!

Same! I’m going through some serious post infidelity stress disorder and I’m struggling. She did me dirty and I still am just grieving like crazy. It’s devastating.

Thanks for posting. That took courage whether you agree or not. It’s not east admitting how much you’re struggling. I’m in the infancy stages. Still under the same roof. She dropped the bomb on me 4 weeks ago. Same deal—“we were never happy/you’re lying to yourself” She can be so cold-hearted at times. I wasn’t a great husband. She wasn’t a great wife. We had 3 boys together. That’s who I feel bad for. I have my moments where I struggle with thoughts about harming myself, but I could never do th…

Just remember there aren’t any winners here. You’re all losing, especially the kids. They lose more than anybody. Read some books. Try to reset. If she screwed up, try to forgive her for the kids’ sake. It’s hard to hear that becuase she deserves the worst. But no matter what kind of emotional or psychological toll it’s taken, your kids shouldn’t be the ones to pay the price.

Thank you. That’s the type of thing I need to hear and be reminded of once in a while. I appreciate you.

Interesting. So, the new relationship actually made the ex think twice? God, that must’ve felt a little great deep down LOL Thanks for your feedback. I appreciate it and best of luck to you. 👊🏼

Sincerely...thank you. Thanks for taking that much time out of your day for a total stranger. That goes for everybody that’s replied. I appreciate it so much. I’m gonna copy and paste this into my notes app. You gave so much great advice. I’m not even sure where to start. I’m already on the extra income thing. I’m doing DoorDash cuz it’s gonna offer me the most flexibility once I leave the house for good. I’ll have custody every other week (not my choice, but I’ll figure it out), so something li…

Thanks! Yeah, I probably should’ve clarified the drinking part. I wasn’t a lush, more like one beer after the kids go to bed-type. I’m just going total mind/body/spirit cleanse. It just seems like the balanced approach. I can’t get my body right if I’m drinking. And if I’m drinking away my sorrows, my mind and spirit won’t be right, either. IDK. I dont miss it like I thought I would. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve read that, but thanks for passing it along. We’re actually living under one roof as long as possible because we’re digging our way out of debt. It’s awkward, but I’m frugal enough to deal with it. 😂
