Good for you man, this is what it's all about. Regarding nerves, maybe try taking 10 minutes to write down and memorize a couple of "openers" you can fall back on. Man, I have that thought about how girls are "out with their friends" a lot. There is only one right answer, and it's this: if you workout, don't go too hard. If you blow through a workout and you're exhausted by the time you get to the date, your energy will be too low. Plus if you're drinking that hinders the benefits of a good workout, and you'll probably get even more tired/drunk faster.
