I don't consider myself dependent on caffeine but I'll skip it tomorrow and see how far I get. I'll look into meditating some more. Your last point will be the hardest for me. Even when I beat my old PRs I will wish that I had gotten myself together years sooner. That will take some deeper healing.

I'm currently on nsuns LP with a couple modifications. I've been on it for about 6 weeks but haven't passed my lifetime PRs yet from 2 years ago because of all the deloaded workouts. I know nsuns is a lot of volume but at least I only have to do one top set now instead of the 3 I was doing on starting strength back in the day.

I've done some meditating in the past but always fall off the wagon with that. I'll give it another go, can't hurt I guess. The treadmill idea is interesting, but I feel like if I tried that then I would be worried about pre-fatiguing myself.

I know that there's always going to be some level of anxiety, especially with a big lift like that. I just can never tell how much of it is a healthy respect for the weight and how much is mental illness.

Lots of root causes I suppose. I was one of the "smart kids" in grade school and high school who didn't have to work for shit until college, where I realized I wasn't shit and have never actually accomplished anything that I didn't work my ass off for in 22 years. That and I still don't get laid. I always put the safeties up in squat and use a spotter for bench.
