Listen, I'm no expert on linguistics. People are from to pronounce it "axe", no matter how grating it is (to some black people as well). My pint is more that don't be surprised when the business community doesn't take you seriously, when you don't get jobs you interview for unless there is a big Affirm action push, etc. Life is about choices. Ebonics is linguistically valid but that's it. In the real world it's slang and sounds moronic. If you can't figure out it's not pronounced "Axe" I don't know what to tell you. Blacks with grad degrees still speak that way and wonder why they have trouble advancing their careers......
