Have any of you ever left a serious relationship because the man lacked ambition?OP I have a friend just like you. She is a lovely girl, went to a great school, makes good money but is dating a loser. She also grew up the eldest of her family and took on a parental role for her siblings and even parents. DO NOT RAISE your man/boyfriend. It is not worth it. The amount of times she called me crying because he works minimum wage, has no money and relies on her is one time too many. Save yourself. Save your future children. They deserve to have a father who can properly provide … | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 24/01/21 07:14 PM
Are all divorced men = LVM?Are all divorced women =LVW? Let's not dabble with asbolutes here, there is nuance with each situation. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 24/01/21 06:53 PM
Modern relationships in a nutshellI'm all for women coming out ahead financially. If financially it makes sense and she has properly vetted him, it can benefit her greatly. Not everyone wants to rent until they're 30+. Some people find good partners that pull their weight and more. I know of HVM partners that pay larger portions of the downpayment, rent and/or mortgage payments. It's really down to the couple's dynamic. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 24/01/21 06:50 PM
Modern relationships in a nutshellIf they can afford to buy a house then they can afford to live on their own. Doesn't sound like they're poor. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 24/01/21 06:39 PM
Brother (25) broke it off with his long-term college girlfriend (26). Cautionary tale of the starter girlfriend. If he’s not crazy about you in the beginning and he’s nonchalant about your presence, he feels like he’s settled. As you’ve said, the moment his “confidence” increases he will leave. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 27/08/20 04:02 PM
What has been your experience with dating a LVM who cannot support himself? We live in one of the largest cities in Canada... there are many eligible bachelors that are much better than him! I blame her mother as well, she was going to break up with him and the mother says she shouldn’t because of his potential for grad school (he doesn’t even have an undergrad yet) and that he’s willing to put up with her. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 06/08/20 04:32 AM
What has been your experience with dating a LVM who cannot support himself? You're taking the words out of my mouth.. it's exactly how I feel. I cringed so bad when she told me she will plan on moving in next year and support him through school. The worst part is I don't think he loves her as much as shse loves him. She puts significantly more effort into the relationship, and he stays because of the financial stability she provides. I would not be surprised when he graduates his undergrad and gets a full time salaried job if he leaves (if he ever gets to this point). I… | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 06/08/20 03:43 AM
What has been your experience with dating a LVM who cannot support himself?Horrible situation :( But you're so strong for cutting it early. My friend is only 24 and thinks she can't find someone better than her cause she's "old" now and has been dating him 4+ years. I'm not sure if she will ever leave at this point. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 06/08/20 03:35 AM
What kind of man do you prefer dating: an introvert or an extrovert?I’m an extrovert and I prefer other extroverts. A lot of joy has been brought in my life because my bf has a large group of friends he’s introduced me to. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 29/07/20 05:05 PM
A revelationI had the exact same revelation when I broke up with my ex, similar timeline as well. I allowed myself to get mistreated in a 4 year relationship because I was terrified of being alone. My family life was not the best and I lived at the poverty level. When I finally got my degree, my dream job and stability in my life I felt strong enough to leave. The journey will feel scary initially and then itll feel incredibly freeing. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 29/07/20 04:54 PM
Do you expect your bf to text you good morning and goodnight daily?Yes my boyfriend texts every morning | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 29/07/20 04:29 PM
Pick me’s make dangerous mothersYour daughter will grow up to love, respect and cherish you so much. The children never forget how much their single mothers sacrificed for them, and the love becomes stronger during adulthood when they begin to understand. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 07/07/20 01:12 AM
Pick me’s make dangerous mothersAfter my mother and father divoced my mother refused to get re-married. She feared that men would take advantage of her home ownership and her children. I am forever grateful for my mother and the hard choices she had to make for her children and avoiding LVM/NVM. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 06/07/20 11:00 PM
