2	How do you deal with false rape accusations? In criminal proceedings in the US, you are innocent until proven guilty. The burden of proof is on the prosecution. If you're ever accused of something you didn't do it's a two step process and they are both equally important. Say the magic words: "I'd like to invoke my right to remain silent.
