Not assuming. A man who can’t physically take care of himself can’t take care of other aspects of his life and shouldn’t really be respected in those areas

Just because a woman is RP doesn’t mean she has to tolerate manchild behavior and stay admiring someone she’s clearly lost respect for. OP vetted poorly and married into a bad leader who doesn’t contribute to the relationship as much as she does, maybe it was because she felt obliged to since he was her first relationship. OP, your husband clearly feels too comfortable to change himself and there is absolutely no changing him, only yourself. What you choose to do next can either help build a saf…

It’s for his own ego, if you go back to him it just only feeds his ego knowing he can pull you back if he wanted to

Simps and orbiters are not worth your time, stop entertaining them, why give your attention at all to men you’re not interested in. I mean you can use them if you want but that’s kind of cruel and leads people on, it’s not the nice thing to do

Goes for both men and women but if you enter a long term relationship with someone you’re not physically attracted to you will end up resenting yourself and find yourself eyeing other possibilities and looking at other men asking “what-if” Find someone you’re confident in admiring in every aspect. You deserve someone who you can look at and go “wow I’m so in love with him he is so handsome to me”

Tbh I’ve been wondering the same thing. I want to get my man flowers sometime soon and was thinking maybe I can make him a card with a simple flower doodle on it and maybe get him a single flower along with the card, nothing too big or flashy

No I don’t post photos of my s/o online especially since the relationship is so new for me and he doesn’t use social media, I also respect that he doesn’t prefer being posted as well. however i don’t make it a secret that I’m in a relationship though.. for example if he gets me flowers I’ll post a photo of the flowers on my Instagram story and caption it something like “my boyfriend got me flowers”

It’s not a good idea to test your partner like that.. imo it’s better to break up if you don’t trust them rather than disrespect them by putting them through a cheating test

Him not making a lot of money is fine IMO, this lifestyle chases how to have successful longterm relationships, not money. But if he has low work ethic and you feel he can’t match what you offer then it’s a valid reason to stop seeing him if you want a better match for yourself

Stay classy, don’t nag for change. If your s/o does something that bothers you, and it will benefit you both if you speak up, only bring it up nicely once but never again. How he decides to behave moving forward is on him and not you. There are consequences to his behavior if he doesn’t take your gentle guidance sometimes, and that’s ok. He will only have himself to blame and fix. Often times it comes naturally he corrects his own behavior if it’s making his life harder. If you can remind yourse…

This is very well put, it’s important that you aid your s/o, not baby him. This rule can be used in friendships as well. The best way is to speak up about something once, only if it’s helpful, and the decision on what to do is up to them. Otherwise it’s best to STFU. Adults can and will have consequences, they learn, and it’s not your responsibility to prevent all of them.

Gentleman behavior, like holding doors open for you, pulling your chair out, keeping you against the wall when you walk, organized and calm. It’s things like those that make me feel safe around a man and allow myself to let loose because I know I’m in the good hands of a kind leader

He did cheat on you, and he did make excuses for it. They sounded like pretty bogus excuses tbh, but ultimately it’s up to you to decide if you want to work things out with him. It seems you’ve already decided to keep trying for him, so breaking up is out of the question. However you should prepare yourself because you’re going to have a lot of trust issues, you won’t see him the same way, you won’t see yourself the same way and start to think you’ll never be good enough. Not only does he need t…

These are all good comments, but it’s also important to let your boyfriend know your past and how it’s affected you. He notices you are less affectionate when his physical state needs it the most, which might make him wonder why or worry that you’re more distant. Try your best not to think bad thoughts, disassociate your boyfriend being sick as a burden to you- but instead someone who cared for you when you were sick and remember how different the loving treatment he gave you was compared to you…

Anyone who publicly displays themselves as a sex symbol automatically subjects themselves to be sexualized by the public. Take Logan Paul’s wife Nina being dragged by Dillion Danis for example, her past of course makes the relationship complicated even though he claims he doesn’t care. Internet footprint is real, it comes back to haunt you in a way that will not only disrespect you but your partner and ppl you’re close with. To the people who claim they don’t care about this kind of reputation, …

Men like that are scary.. how can he change overnight with no warning? Imagine you two were married with kids and then one day he decides he doesn’t know what love is and wants to be away from you after you’ve been giving him your everything. He sounds like he doesn’t know what he wants

Yes biggest ick is hiding the truth from your partner, you don’t have to bring it up right away but if the topic of previous relationships or intimacy comes up you should tell him. Tell him casually and don’t make it a big deal and don’t lie by omission. At the end of the day the goal is that he knows and he considers if it’s ok for him to continue the relationship

One doesn’t “seriously consider” starting a relationship with someone they’re talking to like a buddy. Feelings were reciprocated and talks that go beyond “just friends” had to happen for him to come to the conclusion that she’s a potential girlfriend

What he did was a violation of your agreed terms. You two took time away from each other to strengthen your relationship, yet he went and did things that went the opposite way of this main purpose. He developed feelings and considered dropping you to become serious with another woman. Something wrong must have happened for them to call it quits. Throughout the time they were talking, he was flirting with her, and she was flirting with him. Even though there was no sex, they did things through te…

I did think physical chores should be have done by him back then because he is the man, from some of the comments I can see why it shouldn’t be the case if I’m capable of handling it myself. I was only 18 when I met him and did not have much dating experience so I was stubborn when I felt he did not help when he should have. I agree, the passive aggressive remark was made on a whim in hopes he realized in the moment how if it’s difficult for him then it’s much more difficult for me. I was not thinking when the words slipped and I instantly regret it when I saw how upset it made him. After that incident I never complained about the chore again and would even go when I noticed we had low supply without him asking

OP they’re highschoolers, let them learn their own pace with dating. Teens don’t have much experience with dating and often take things very slow during the first few dates, and adults move faster. What if they’ve never had their first kiss? Please don’t go around telling teenage boys how to touch and kiss another teenager, it’s weird. Mind your own.

Yes, it’s not fair to give him a gaming ultimatum after marriage because you’ve known from the start this is how he wants to live and spend his time doing. You marry him, but you also marry into his lifestyle. Always pay attention to his habits, what he likes to do, what he dislikes, his mannerisms, problem solving skills, temper, etc. because you will marry into it. Vet carefully while dating to ensure you have the highest chance of a happy and successful marriage 🤗

If you are dating then you are still vetting. Just because you are in a relationship with him doesn’t stop the vetting process. Know what is good for you longterm and what is not. Is this gaming to an obsessive degree? Gaming has been classified as a modern addiction, which means stopping is not easy. You can not force or expect him to stop. Is he taking too much time away from you and his responsibilities to focus on playing games? If it gets to the point where an obsession creates constant rea…

Being called a fuckboy means the girl thinks you look good enough to pull chicks but immature and unable to maintain a proper relationship because you look like the type to fuck around and not commit, which is good if that’s the impression you want to give off but I think there are more tasteful compliments for a man. The term fuckboy doesn’t come off as a compliment to men but to boys, sure

What you don’t realize is that women have game too. One of which is to put you down so you’d stay with her. She’s not giving you respect while expecting it from you, it’s unfair to you. Either stay playing her game, step up for yourself, or leave and find someone who will be more attentive towards you

Yea, I don’t think this post is relevant to this sub either tbh. If you are a woman and can’t contribute financially in a relationship, then the least you’re expected to do is look pretty, cook, and clean, or else why else would a rich man want you around? You’re kinda required by default to meet those expectations in a relationship like that Edit: what I mean is, the tactics you claim to have used are not stemmed from RPW but stemmed from expectations from a rich dude’s trophy wife

Not saying men have to do anything at all but it’s good to let the man know what he’s doing can be improved for the sake of the relationship. Intimacy is lost if the woman is unhappy too, which affects the man, so it’s worth bringing up if a repeat behavior causes unhappiness. Like for example, “hey sweetheart can we have a talk please? I know that sometimes you feel I accuse you but I really don’t mean to come off that way because (insert pov), I want to know what you think about this and I als…

Inspiring them to lead is different from allowing them to act harshly on repeat. It’s clear that this has been an ongoing problem. I’ve read about the STFU method, and imo I don’t agree with it, because there won’t be a solution to a problem that’s never acknowledged. Women have voices in the relationship too, and they deserve respect and empathy from the man too no? We can’t just expect to provide a man with unconditional respect if they have habits that strain the relationship and our mood. Em…

By not letting this slide and keeping him in check I mean to not let this kind of behavior become the norm. OP has stated he feels attacked every time he feels accused, and in turn he will end up making her upset. This is not good for a relationship. Men are suppose to lead in relationships, and when they are not being good leaders or protective of the woman (physically and emotionally), then he needs to get checked. Sometimes women need to have that tough talk with men and actually let them kno…

Im sorry but the way you word things seem like you endorse rpw being ok with being doormats. She was not disrespectful. Having a gentle talk when he is in a better mood isn’t the way to fix an ongoing broken dynamic? She needs to communicate how it made her feel but also have a sit to listen to his side of the story too and what made him react that way so they can work together to better ensure next time goes smoother
/r/RedPillWomen15/07/23 02:58 PM
32

Just because you’re rpw doesn’t mean you can’t have a voice or your own opinions in the relationship. The way he acted was very unnecessary and not leader-like when you were trying to gently let him know your concerns. You have a voice darling, and you need him to reciprocate the same kind of respect you give him. Have a gentle talk with him a few days later when both your moods are good and tell him how you felt about it. Don’t let this kind of reaction slide again and keep him in check.

Men are more simple than people think 1. You’re young, most guys are not even thinking of LTRs around your age. If a guy doesn’t want an LTR then he will not stay in one. 2. Nothing matters if a guy isn’t attracted to you both physically and emotionally. No amount of cooking or dressing up will make him fall for you if he doesn’t feel these initial sparks in the first place. Move onto the next if a man isn’t showing you the level of commitment that satisfies you

Depends on how you feel about it, you know him best and you know your own values best. Personally for me I wouldn’t date someone like that (again), even if he’s done it in the past I believe it may results in him having a more difficult time pair bonding 100% with me, and the temptation will always somewhat be there for him to fantasize with other women knowing he can (and once have) pulled many. My last relationship was like that. He slept around a lot in his 20s, went clubbing, body count of 5…

I had the same problem with dating apps and it disgusted me so much that I had to uninstall… love and genuine connection are so hard to find on there it makes me envious of people who do. However my friends had been telling me to try Hinge because a lot more people look for longterm in there compared to say, Tinder. Or, another option is to use a paid dating app (not subscriptions from free apps) which brings you more serious people looking for commitment.

You shouldn’t need to expose a man to things like that, what is your goal for making him aware? So he notices your efforts and you feel more appreciated? That is a bad reason. You should find men who seek women like you and in turn he offers you what you’re looking for too, despite him being RP or not

You’re really young, just reached adulthood and you have your life together already. People break up when they want different things. There’s no attachment, you two aren’t engaged/married/no kids. I personally believe it is very very hard to become a man’s ideal girl if you are by default not and have been scooped up already. It would cause unsatisfaction in both parters with the man being hesitant/critical of the woman and leaving the woman wondering. There are many factors that can cause such a relationship to happen, whether the woman presents herself with a different expectation of her assets at first, or a man being willing to scoop her up because she’s “good enough for now”. It’s al…

My bad, it is exaggerated, but what I really mean is they would show enough effort for the girl and do their best to never neglect their needs

Intimacy and relationships with partners should be reserved for love and marriage, anything else is disrespectful to yourself

It’s true to some extent. There’s a saying that men usually know within the first 5 minutes of meeting a girl whether he can fall in love with them or not

DIY things or writing letters would make the other person very happy

Yea he sounds like he’s stringing her along, it doesn’t take 10 months for the truth to come out. OP’s boyfriend sounds like he’s finally ok with using her past to guilt trip her after enough time has passed and she’s too committed into the relationship to easily leave He wants OP to repent somehow and prove herself every day. Sure, you can do that OP, just know he will never be satisfied. You’re still young, you have many options, he does not, you’ve been honest, he has not

That’s really surprising that he took you seriously and took action for it right away, it shows how much he values your concerns

My RMV is high, I’m at the age where men want to get to know me. I get approached a lot and I’ve been offered to go on dates many times throughout the span of knowing this guy. I decline the dates for him because when I feel attachment for someone, they are the only ones I actively want to get to know. I’ve realized this may be a flaw and I shouldn’t have wasted half a year in the talking stage with a man who couldn’t be honest with me. I’ll start dating around again and this time I won’t limit …

Thanks, I’ll look for people closer to my age next time. It seems to be something a lot of people have pointed out, understandably with different stages of life there is different power dynamics

Yes he said he was divorced but honestly at this point I have no way of knowing that’s true or not

Trip is canceled, I’ve refunded my tickets to the city we were going to meet in. I also don’t plan on talking to him anymore

Me personally I felt it wasn’t right to not disclose it until now since we’ve been talking so much but I’ve never been in this situation before so i wasn’t sure if socially it was acceptable or if I was being angry and feeling deceived for no reason

I’m aware I’m at the age where my SMV is at it’s peak and I don’t want to waste any years chasing a man who may not be worth it in terms of LTR, which is why I turn to this sub for advice since love blinds me. Men who are indecisive or don’t know what they want are indicators they can’t hold LTR. The promises he’s made and the assets he shows gave me the impression he had high RMV which was why I was attracted to him. I shouldn’t overlook any red flags and I’ll pay better attention next time

I do adore him, and the plan was if we become official he can relocate to me since he works remotely, however since we have never been officially dating he is still in his city. Thanks for your comment and I appreciate the insight a lot

Thanks for your insight, I really appreciate the time you took to write this. I’ll take it into consideration. He has mentioned the reason why his previous relationships didn’t work out was partly because of chronic depression and how it made dating him very frustrating for women. To answer your question, when he planned to visit me I suggested he take a flight but his reasoning was that he wanted to drive to me because he didn’t think it would be that bad of a drive since there are times he sit…

It’s valid most traditional men wouldn’t prefer to have women with a high body count, they want reserved women. However the problem comes when OP has been transparent from the start about her previous body count, so he knew exactly what he was signing up for. He entered the relationship knowing he will be with a girl who had a higher count than he wanted, and he’s making this a problem in their relationship even though she was what he asked for. The way he’s behaving isn’t fair to OP

Not sure why his masculinity feels threatened based on what your body count was in the past. You’re open and honest to him about it and do your best to provide for his needs, but he looks past your hard work and hyper-fixates on how much dick you’ve had in the past? Childish mentality

Being able to go to things like that in a relationship is definitely a plus, you’re in your early adult years and you want to experience that kind of social life thrill! But it’s not a necessity. I understand how it’s hard to have trust with an LDR, he’s not there to look after you when you’re out, and events like clubs, bars, college parties, they usually happen at night involving people who are looking for validation. It’s understandable why he wouldn’t want you to go to certain ones, but ther…

This subreddit is focused on how to achieve a happy and healthy male-led relationship. I think people from all walks of life come here to discuss how to achieve that. There is no one mold for a happy relationship, every couple is different and agree to different things

I wouldn’t mind if I had a partner who hooked up with other people tbh, hvm naturally have many options they want to explore, as long as they let me know beforehand and it’s not something that happens verrry often. Like OP I kind of find it hot as well :) maybe I can join too sometimes, things like that I would trust my partner to keep hookups strictly as is, with no emotional stuff attached, that would change things. But I’m all for letting people live their best lives (yea sexually too) OP you…

Interesting post and comments. To put it simply, yes men like nice girls. From my experience being 100% nice won’t get you the magnetic attraction from guys compared to when you make it a little hard for them to chase and please you. You always have to have a little ‘push and pull’ as I call it, just to keep things fun and entertaining for both parties. Challenging and stimulating. He gains more respect for you that way. You can’t come off ever as to easy, even if you are already dating him you …

Anyone has the right to take a break from dating, that shouldn’t be a question. Take all the time you need until you’re ready. There’s nothing more fulfilling than jumping into your next relationship confident that you’re ready to 100% commit
