The US still has conscription. In the 1970's, the Equal Rights Amendment, which would've most likely changed this imbalance, was almost ratified - until a grassroots campaign by conservative women who argued that the amendment was bad for housewives and emphasized the conscription thing. The feminists were fighting for a bill that could give them equal rights and potentially cause them to be drafted into the military, while the conservatives were upholding sexist ideas of women's roles. Improve yourself and put yourself out there and you'll attract more attention from all people. Obsess over attracting a partner and you'll probably find someone who's also obsessing over attracting a partner.

This is mostly just advice on how to be a more attractive person in general, whether or not you're trying to approach women

Try not to ask about wrist tattoos - on some occassions they're covering up scars from cutting. Too emotionally vulnerable too soon.

Greet her with a quick, platonic hug. Get in line and ask if you can pay for her coffee. If she says no, express your willingness but don't insist on paying. When you start talking - you're already interested and curious about her. Ask her the surface-level personal info like where she's from, job/school, etc. Find out more about the lightweight stuff - her personality, likes and dislikes. If you interrupt her, catch yourself and apologize. Don't be afraid of pauses in the conversation - but the…

Yeah it's just alpha/beta dynamics. If you lose your virginity, there's no guarantee they'll stop making fun of you

Yeah! I like going on first dates with no particular agenda. It's a diversion and ego boost for both of you, even if it goes nowhere. If you're the initiating party of the date (aka hopefully you're paying for it) and you're in the mindset that you'll get anything out of it other than good company and conversation then maybe just stick to hook ups y'know? If you don't enjoy dates, don't go on them

I mean Normal conversation with friends can get super awkward too The only difference is that dating is a process to determine whether or not you want to fuck each other eventually The stakes feel higher and you notice the awkwardness more
