Look someone asked for a genuine conversation and I have provided my personal experience to that. I don’t appreciate you minimizing my personal experience. Yes, worse could have happened. Should have any of it happened in the first place? No.

That’s referring to random street attacks, which is not what we’re discussing.

For me? No. That’s a oversimplification of the fear. It’s the stalking, the harassment and those can add up to assault and rape. You just don’t know who is going to take it to that level and who is going to be fine. I have more than one guy show up at my house and bang on my door. I have had men leave things on my car. Make up damaging rumors. Etc. I’m pretty sure there is a subreddit devoted to news articles about women who have been physically assaulted after rejecting men but I’m on mobile.

It’s hard to be honest. You can say “seems like we’re looking for different things” or “I don’t see how our interests align” or something. I would usually just say “I don’t see us as compatible but I wish you the best of luck on finding your person.” But then some of the men argue about that. That was exhausting. I also could never imagine telling someone how dare they think they had a chance. None of my friends would say that either. I know there are some weird women like that but who wants to …

Some men treat this statement as a challenge. Additionally, some women feel like they shouldn’t have to make up a fake boyfriend to express that they aren’t interested.

There is a certain amount of safety risk associated with being curt in turning down a man. You do not know who is going to react violently and who is going to take it in stride. To put this in frame, I’ve had men pull over, get out of their cars and follow me down streets to ask me for my name and number. Not a great neighborhood tbh but I was pretty much paranoid the rest of the day. Afraid of getting hurt or abducted.

Unfortunately it depends on how the law in this location is written.

I have been a lurker here for several years. It used to be truly about men’s rights. I would cheer on from the sidelines when this sub protested women raping men or women getting off too easy on crimes men are punished severely for. Because that’s wrong! That’s feminism to me. True equality in action and opportunity.. New wave feminism is shitty on men. I totally agree with that. KAM? That’s horseshit. And people who believe that are off their rocker. I say this as a woman. I have men in my life…

Bro you're a good looking dude. Get in that gym. Get some contacts. Get the hell out of the mall and into a bar or organized social activity. If a man approached me in the mall... The likelihood of me even smiling is zero to none. You'll get it. Don't lose hope.

Does this work on both genders?!

But also followed by... What do you like about _____? What initially made you interested in __? / How did you get into __? Tell me about your favorite _____. Etc. ^ These will give you some more insight into what someone's thinking other than a straight "Yes/No I do/don't like ____."

Great idea about cropping.. I think dating apps usually give you that option! Group shots are usually fine - it's a plus you have friends. However if it's just you and one girl, it's questionable in my mind!

This and your job/university listing. I know my girlfriends all swipe left on people's who have jobs listed like "CEO" of "Badass Inc."🙄 I also swipe left on that. Also pictures of yourself flipping off the camera, gym selfies, pics of you and one other lady (is that your gf?!) << All those things are left swipe material! (*Unless it's your sister! But most say that in their profiles if so.) One of my girlfriends sometimes swipes right on these profiles just to give guys some honest feedback. PM…

To your point, my father was in the room during the admissions session that gave the info in my comment and was pretty offended. He was basically appalled (as a man) that they had to lower the standard for men to get into the same university as women. I can see why universities are trying to balance gender scales. It leads to better discussions (this theoretically better educations), more connections into different fields, diversity of alumni, etc. I do not believe however it should come at the …

It happens to both genders, though it seems like according to your data, these universities are doing it to men. I remember applying to colleges in 2006 and being told, as a female, my SAT score had to be higher than a male. The reason they gave was that they were looking to bring in more men to the university. Then even as an out-of-state woman my SAT had to be about 150 points higher than an in-state male. It was the only school I got rejected from. This was William & Mary, a primarily liberal…
