Yay for anecdotes. Sure let's let those who know what type of person they are to determine the validity of an important point. Hell, most women who cheat on the spouse were "not the person I would've pegged for doing so." Same is true for those who assault. Hell, let's just stereotype everyone and make it illegal for certain groups to do certain things. Though, I can admit that it's a possibility that some women would not tell others that they've been sexually assaulted, as determined by a jury.

I think you've spent too much time over at 2X. Who gets to define whether they've been sexually assaulted? Is it the supposed victim? That has led to the epidemic of false date-rape accusers. Is it you? Well it's your anecdotal evidence that you're relying on. So naturally you get to be right, and if you're not, then we can just change your story. Or, as you have preferred, just insist that they've been assaulted. Or do we depend on a jury of twelve? In that case, any unreported, not investigate…

Sexual assault is already illegal. Of the five 'run-ins' you listed, none are illegal, with exception to perjury on false rape claims. Most people realize that assault is illegal, though they aren't aware of how bad the divorce court is. Hell, just yesterday there was a man that 'hoped' his wife wouldn't take the house he built.

Hmm... The 'all fields' total was ~45k, and the correct values for just Science and Engineering were what you've listed above. The graph-maker here simultaneously chose the wrong graph and the wrong data. Too bad the conclusions are still somewhat valid.

As a chemist, I can attest that there are just as many PhDs earned today as there was in '67. In my dept, there are more total women that choose to leave with a masters than men, despite having smaller total numbers.
