Schools don't have their own police departments. There are police departments that have schools as their jurisdiction but they still report to the police commissioner, not the school. Right, but they are on site to handle criminal issues. Adjucating a rape case is well outside of the realms of a college board.

Had a friend of mine who teaches sixth grade do an informal survey asking boys (she has a boys only English class) if they feel they can change their lives. 30% said of boys said they could change their lives. Yeah, but honestly I don't see the benefit to college at this point in time. Most of the kids that I have seen get four year degrees do absolute shit with them. My advice to the vast majority of kids is to work first. Build a resume and then go to school once you figure out what you might need. Lots of kids coming out of college are totally clueless in the workplace.

Can confirm as well. Parent to four adopted kids out of foster care (two diff sibling groups). Foster care in most cases is pretty harsh. Especially if you were never adopted out of it.

Foster care is rarely a good thing. If you can get the kids early enough (before two) and then adopt them, it's likely the kid will be ok. Any kid placed after two and not adopted....yeah, it's better than a hospital but not by much in some cases.
