Thank you for that! Good luck on the refinance. Hopefully she'll sign and things will go smooth for you.

Thank you. Starting the refi process now. She already agreed to sign a quit claim deed.

Thank you. That makes sense. After getting off the phone with my mortgage company they broke down all the transaction fees and an estimate before the actual appraisal. I didn't own the house before marriage. We were married 12 years before buying it.

Already started the appraisal. Should be done soon and i already qualify for the mortgage and the house was already in my name. Her name was never on the mortgage. We already submitted the divorce papers. But I'm guessing I should call the court and ask to Amend the documents in order to put the appraisal amount in the decree.

Thank you. I started talking with my mortgage company and started the refinance process. Thank you for that quit claim. I had no idea about that. Downloaded the form already. A coworker told me to Amend our divorce petition and put in there the exact amount of money she will receive and also that she is abandoning the house and any claim on the house. Is that safer or similar to the quit claim deed? Should I do both or does the quit claim take care of that by itself?

Being retired from the military after serving 21 years, I've seen this many times and it never works out. It always ends in divorce. Don't do it just because she doesn't want to transfer and because it'll make things easier. Marry her because you want to marry her. Otherwise, there's a good chance you'll get divorced a second time.

I'm not sure if I'm in a dark place but I'm definitely hurting. But I think I'm slowly getting through this tough time. Trying to reduce my alcohol consumption as a coping mechanism by staying busy and exercising. Thanks!

Just listened to 6 episodes today. I wish there were more. Not sure what I'm going to listen to the rest of the week. They've been so motivating and after finishing the rest of the episodes will probably replay many of them to help me get through this tough situation.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
