Yeah, I think what you’re saying is fair. I don’t really see people saying this stuff often in person because they know it’s offensive and demeaning. But these days with the ubiquity of dating apps and social media, IRL is fast becoming blended with online IMO.

I often see Twitter threads get tens of thousands of retweets shaming men for not being tall enough to be a worthy partner. It’s pretty fucked up tbh. For some people, setting an arbitrary requirement and asking height is perfectly acceptable practice, while being asked for their own attributes commonly associated with attractiveness like weight is a great offense and considered trashy behavior. Big dating apps like Bumble, where women are the only ones able to make the first move, literally off…
