For my friend's bachelor party, we took him to a fancy steak place and we ate steak. No strippers, no hookers. Just A5 Wagyu cooked over Japanese white oak charcoal.

Just saw the movie. She got really out of shape - her and the actress that plays her "sister" both looked like basic women from Arizona. It got me thinking about how Kumail Nanjiani decided to get totally ripped as soon as he got cast in The Eternals, even though Marvel did not even ask him to. He got so ripped that PornHub started using his picture as the icon for the Muscular Man category.

I think it was in an older Tim Pool video but I remember somebody saying that women entering the workforce depressed wages because there were many more workers for the same number of jobs. So women entering the workforce benefitted employers, corporations, and the very wealthy. It could explain why wealth inequality has grown so much in the last 30 years.

Assad gassing his own people was the lie that got us to bomb Syria. Russian hackers is a lie that they will use as an excuse to go to war with Russia. Jan 6 is the lie they will use to completely shut down dissent.

The only reason why the US is pulling out of Afghanistan now is so that they can shift into a war with China and/or Russia. Why do you think it all of a sudden became okay to talk about the Wuhan lab leak theory when literally a couple of months ago you would have been banned on every major platform for bringing it up.

It happened when Hollywood discovered that they could make a lot of money releasing their movies in China. In order to appeal to both the US market and the Chinese market, they had to water down their movies to lowest-common-denominator. The irony is that in attempting to appeal to everybody, they end up appealing to nobody.

I've been retired for 2 years now and it has not gotten old yet. During my first year I did irregular gig type work (unskilled minimum wage work) whenever I felt like I needed to get out of the house. The nice thing was that I could do as much or as little of this work as I wanted. My second year of retirement was the COVID lockdown, so I caught up on movies, TV shows, video games, comic books. And I lost some weight also.

I did one of these classes a a major multinational corporation also, around 2008 or so. Back then it wasn't so bad. They covered really obvious stuff. What I found ironic was that there was an incident at this company where a male employee jokingly went behind another male employee and pretended to butt-fuck him. The guy on the receiving end formally complained to HR. And the guy who filed the complaint ended up getting fired. Not the guy who did the butt-fucking. The guy who was getting butt-fu…

Being fat can signal the same thing about wealth - showing how well-fed you are. And it did in 17th century western Europe (see Peter Paul Rubens). But now being fat signals that you are too poor to eat well and/or too poor to have leisure time to exercise. Being pale also used to be a signal of wealth because it meant you do not do manual labor outside. Now being tan means that you can afford leisure time to go out.

This is the correct answer. It has nothing to do with biological selection or evolution or survival of the species or needing to feel protected. Being smaller helped with survival in some parts of the world (e.g. the tropics) because smaller people require fewer resources. It is all because of status. This is why 6'0" is a magic number. 5'11" is not good enough because a woman cannot brag to other woman about having a mate who is 6'0" or above. 6'0" is a nice round number so it is easy to brag a…

Voting should be tied to selective service registration. If you did not register for selective service, you do not vote in federal elections. Period. This would also exclude immigrants who became naturalized after draft age, which I believe is absolutely fair. If you were not eligible to risk your life for your country, then you have no say in who the representatives are that make the decisions on whether this country goes to war.

Raising the minimum wage increases inflation, which hurts the people who have most of their assets/savings in cash (poor and middle class). Rich people who have their savings in hard assets like real estate or securities are much less affected because the value of those things will just go up.

I went and read up a bit about some of the real life people that were in the movie. Even though Sharon Tate was married to Roman Polanski, she kept around Jay Sebring as a beta orbiter. I think this was even mentioned in the movie in the scene at the Playboy mansion - that Jay hung around Tate so that when Tate eventually breaks up with Polanski, he will be there to take his place. Other people have made comments on your first question, so I'll answer the second question on things I wish I had known as someone who worked in tech for 23 years and retired early. Osama bin Laden was also a CIA asset. They wanted to help the Mujahadeen fight the Soviets during the Soviet-Afghan war in the 1980s.
