It may be late now but u could buy tinder premium(or whatever package is named) where you can change locations. Here is pro tip to those who don't mind spending some $ but it can be worth it: Few days prior you make tinder acc and set location to chicago, and if your pictures are on point you might set up few dates. But you can do it all for free while u're there

Dating is a skill in itself so don't neglect it.
