An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind

My problem with what this sub is becoming is that it is only worried about male suffering, when I originally joined this sub several years back it was about actual equaility across the line and thats what made the MRM different from feminism, but this sub is so reactionary now and immediatly attacks women without knowing the full story or without knowing the actual feelings of the person, its become a breeding ground for hating women, just look at most threads and the comments inside them and yo…

Yeah the online oxford dictionary is a joke, pick a hardcopy up and see what it says, as for merriam and any other site it is exactly what I said

I did google it, was only one site that said this, every other one said " an informal word for wife" and nothing else

Yeah so its pretty obvious that a lot of this subs users just hate women

https://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/5m2lqn/thats_7665_days/?st=j50a9m3j&sh=0366dd49 Thats the thread, Here is the full article While I will agree that the trial was done poorly and a conviction based soley on a testimony is pretty ridiculous the attacks she got in that post were undeserved

Ahh sorry, it was originally asked if she had any other sexual contact and she said no which was a lie since her father was sexually abusing her, I can see where I mispoke and caused the misunderstanding.
/r/MensRights12/07/17 12:34 AM

Except she wasn't a girl who cried wolf, she was sexually abused by her father, she didn't tell the court this though and it wasn't found out till years later, this led to the alleged rapist being freed as the damage to her body now could have come from another source instead of him, no where did she cry wolf and get away with it though.

No nothing of what I said claims she was or was not raped, I said she claimed to still have been raped by the man. Your fine questioning her however when it was posted people didn't question her they attacked her for lying and falsely imprisoning a man which was just a eye catcher for the title, when you actually looked up the article and read it you realize it's not as black and white as the sub made it out to be. I'm neither, I'm just saying how this sub can attack women without fully knowing …

I am not assuming anyones situation, you are, you assumed that her reaction wasn't natural, that because she was worried about herself she didn't care for her husband, what the fuck is wrong with you? I said if you lose a family member like that I imagine you wouldn't understand the flood of emotions and now youre telling me I am assuming people situations? It's what you have done this whole time, I just said that there are other possibilities

How did his wife treat him poorly? They had an argument, that happens in real life, what do you expect? Sugar shock an exhaustion are very different, unless he was on medication at the time a sleep deprived exhaustion is nothing compared to sugar shock when you are no longer coherant at all. She didn't kick him while he was down, they argued, she argued he argued it happens, the lose of a mans life is terrible, the fact that there is now a single mother with 3 kids is terrible, but there are ass…

Except my mother worked and had me ont he way so my father wasn't a free ride for her dipshit. Is it exactly how everyone feels? Ofcourse not you twat, but everyone reacts differently, everyone deals with death differently, some people cry, some people keep a stone face, some people lose themselves, to say her reaction wasn't genuine is ridiculous though as you don't know her and only see her through an article

Not most people on this sub atleast, they are about fixing mens issues and they don't give a damn what happens to women while they do it. I don't want to stay, I am sick of the attacks against women, it started when I first saw a rape/sexual assault victim(I can't remember which it was) being attacked for lying in court when she was a child about her father sexually abusing her, he was but it was cause for the other man to be set free. They attacked her for it and said she should be jailed or ki…

Arguments happen in relationships, you can't blame the death of this man on their argument, if that was the case there would be a hell of a lot less people on this earth. Being concerned for someone and arguing with them about it happen all the time, my grandparents did it when my grandfather wouldn't take his insulin, why? Because he was killing himself by not doing it.
/r/MensRights11/07/17 08:15 PM

Yeah when my father died my mother pretty much had the same reaction, if you have never lost a member of the family like that I imagine you wouldn't quite understand the feelings that flood your body.
/r/MensRights11/07/17 08:13 PM

Yeah, the sub has come around to just attacking women for everything that happens without knowing anything of the actual situation, there was a post a while back that had a screenshot of an article that said a rape victim lied and the man was set free. Ofcourse people exploded which is understandable, they called for her head said she should be doing the same amount of time in jail, I found the article, she lied about being sexually abused by her father not about being raped, but since she lied …

How could you possibly gather that from the article? It could be the exact same scenario or it could not, the article does not go into detail about how they lived there life, people just immediatly assumed that she was using him, people on this sub are so afraid of women that it's not healthy. It's not about mens rights, this story isn't I should say, we don't know how they treated eachother, they just had an argument and that happens to every couple, but instead of realizing that you all immedi…

It does sound like a familar group, sounds just like everyone on this sub, your are indeed right. As for minimising the issue, never did that, just said we should be concerned about women and the increase as well. No one on this sub will be happy unless women suicide rates increase to where mens are, not that they both need to drop, you want equaility but you want it in a sick way
/r/MensRights11/07/17 07:54 PM
-10

Or that's what they planned out? I have relatives that do the same, he decided he would start a business and she would take care of the kids, she gave up her career for him to do that and takes care of the kids because he doesn't have the time, people choose to lead different kinds of lives then the ones you think they need to

Ok man, ain't no point in arguing anymore, I'm done with this sub since I feel like my opinions and thoughts are completely useless, sub is the same thing as the feminism you all hate but now for men. Sub used to be about making people equal in a good way, I think most of you would be happy if women's suicide rates rose to the current levels of men's because then it would be equal and fair, instead of trying to keep women's from increasing while also decreasing men's. Weird sense of equality.
/r/MensRights11/07/17 05:04 PM

Also what I said wasn't a straw man argument, wasn't an argument at all, I was saying exactly what that guy had told me I believed in since I was also concerned with the increase in womens suicide and find them both important
/r/MensRights11/07/17 07:06 AM
2

Look at my whole argument with him, I acknowledged the fact that men had higher suicide rates and said we need to bring that number down as well as prevent womens suicide rates from going up which is completely reasonable I thought, nothing is gained if we only help men as womens suicide rate increases, then we have just switched roles and the number of lives lost doesn't change, he however would not acknowledge that and acted as though men were the only concern, how are you even supposed to hav…

Yeah I just don't want anyone to die from suicide and for some reason I hate men because I don't want women to die as well, its kind of fucked up
/r/MensRights11/07/17 04:06 AM

He did the same thing with me, I just gave up finally, people taking their own lives is terrible and needs to be dealt with across every demographic not just men or women, teens or adults, just everyone

I love it. When men are the majority of an issue it's "Oh it's everyone's issue, it's not a 'Men's issue'" when women are the majority of an issue it's "War on women" and "Women's Issues" This is one of the very few topics I believe is everyones issue because people lives are important whether you are a man or woman and suicide is a terrible thing. they're against people sweeping male victims under the rug - i.e. EXACTLY what you're trying to do here. People like you have been entirely happy wit…

I never said it wasn't an issue, I never said 4 equals 1, you just make shit up. I just said they are both important

-8

You have completely taken everything I have said and made bullshit from it, I never said 1=4=8, I don't hate men, if I did I would really hate myself I guess, but i don't so not sure how thats supposed to work. I can't even argue this because anything I say is quoted and ignored while saying 1 to 4, men are more important since they die more, instead of saying human lives are important and everyone of them should be worried about. I am pretty sure this sub would be totally fine with womens suici…
/r/MensRights11/07/17 03:30 AM

You insult every female suicide victim by saying that they are not as important as men, and that all they want is attention, this sub has become genuine shit. And as for your other comment is it 4 or 8 men for every women, and no where in my post did I imply that 1 women dying is equivalent to 4, I said the high number of current suicides among men is a concern and the increasing suicides among women is also a concern and both should be taken seriously, instead you act like men are the more impo…
/r/MensRights11/07/17 03:14 AM

How is it not an issue for everyone? Should we not worry about the increasing rate for women as well as the currently higher rate for men? Also a suicide attempt is a suicide attempt, don't take away how serious of a subject this is by saying women are merely calling for attention.
/r/MensRights11/07/17 02:57 AM

That's correct, as well as not getting checked up frequently enough, they both are the cause of the higher death toll.

This sub upvotes pretty much anything that says feminism is bad, 5 year old reposts and things that almost have no relationship to feminism still count
/r/MensRights04/06/17 08:14 PM

While you are correct it is also written by another person, you can't expect both people to write the same or have the same opinions on the subjest, the first one was not written in a way to say this is a good or bad thing it was very this is what is happening and some people like it and some dont

Yeah it would be a great bot, unfornuntely I am pretty dumb when it comes to computers and programming(you program a bot right?) and can't do it. I am drunk and know I spelled unfurtunately wrong and probably did it again so sorry about that, but that bot would both help people on calling out others BS or prevent people from saying to google "example" and it being a BS pretend argument. It's real, however the headlines are very misleading, you need to read the actual article.

The mistruths that she spoke were that she had no sexual interactions before the cop, which was a lie since her father was sexually assaulting her. she never claimed the cop didn't do what she said though.
/r/MensRights06/01/17 01:58 AM

Yup
/r/MensRights05/01/17 07:36 AM
2

It's because people didn't read the article, OP posted this to bait people and succeeded, the girl still stand by the accusation of Franklin the cop raping her, although even if this was incorrect im still not a fan of most of the suggestions on how to fix the situation
/r/MensRights05/01/17 07:26 AM
2

Did you read the article, she still stand by the accusation, there was a retrial since it came out that here stepfather had been raping her, she had lied about having any sexual occurrences before hand, this is what caused the retrial and for Franklin to be set free, she never said Franklin didn't rape her, she still stands by her original accusation.
/r/MensRights05/01/17 07:11 AM

I appreciate that
/r/MensRights05/01/17 06:59 AM

I can understand everything you said man, except that last part, she never said the officer didn't rape her, she still stands by the accusation, there was a retrial because she lied about having no sexual interactions while being raped by her father, she still stands by the original accusation that Franklin, the officer, raped her though
/r/MensRights05/01/17 06:57 AM

Thank you, the article wasn't posted by OP because it would have ruined his baiting picture which he got the sub with hook line and sinker.

I didn't think that guy did, I am sorry for the misunderstanding, many others did say that though, they were who I was referring to. And you are right, if she did lie and didn't say something sooner I can understand the problem, but the stepfather always looming over her and the child hood trauma isn't something to ignore, but regardless of all that, she still stand by the accusation, she lied in court and said that she had no sex before Franklin, but that was incorrect because of her step fathe…

I could care less about people shitting on me or downvoting or anything, I care that this sub has become anti women not equal for both sexes, people jump on any headline were it looks like a woman did something wrong with out doing any research themselves, OP posted a bait picture without any background and people went nuts wanting to throw this liar in jail, but like you said the accusation is still standing, she didn't lie, (I obviously don't know if she did or didn't but she says she didn't) …
/r/MensRights05/01/17 06:37 AM
10

She still says he raped her, beacuse OP posted this god damn baiting headline no one read the article and jumped to conclusions, the article states that she lied about not having any sex before Franklin but that was untrue because her father had raped her, she still says Franklin raped her as well, but the case got a retrial because of the lie about the father raping her

/r/MensRights05/01/17 06:16 AM

That's a tough question, it really is such a young age, very immature, decision making is probably one of the worst in life, you are terrified how everyone around you views you and your family, it really is a very tough question that I don't have an answer for, that's why I am in school for Biology and not criminology, however throw her in jail for a life sentence just because of a headline is a bit ridiculous, besides she does stand by the accusation that he did rape her, the headlines makes it…
/r/MensRights05/01/17 06:09 AM

Did you actually read the article or did you just read the headline that the OP posted? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4043820/Former-Forth-Worth-police-officer-served-21-years-prison-raping-13-year-old-girl-not-guilty-trial-victim-admits-lying.html 2nd paragraph below the picture
/r/MensRights05/01/17 06:04 AM

But you probably aren't a 13 year old girl who was being raped bu her father, she was probably terrified, had no where to turn to and was embarrased that her god damn virginity was taken by someone she was supposed to look up to, so instead of blaming her father she probably went to and blamed an unfortunate person when someone realized something was wrong, that is if he did not rape her because she didn't "lie" about the rape accusation and still stands by it.

You want to throw the girl who was sexually assaulted by her father at the age of 13 and had to find an excuse for it in jail? I mean it isn't ok to do what she did obviously but she was probably terrified and embarrassed beyond all reasoning

Ok bud, good job, I am proud of you for really sticking it to OP
/r/MensRights20/12/16 03:43 AM

I wasn't debating, I could care less, this post was stupid, all it was done to do was stir the pot, it doesn't help mens rights at all. Your argument is with another guy not me, all I ever said is you, sound like as ass how you ask for a source. I ain't trying to bully you into telling me, if I was I wouldn't be saying to shut up, that doesn't even make sense. This was funny at first because it was stupid now it's just stupid. I still don't understand the point of any thing you have done.
/r/MensRights20/12/16 03:40 AM
1

If you are going to do the same thing as him quit your bitching and just shut up then
/r/MensRights20/12/16 03:27 AM
1

No but you are making a claim that OP is wrong and that you have proof that he is and you aren't giving it.
/r/MensRights20/12/16 03:23 AM
1

I never asked to see OP facts, I asked to see yours since they go against his. You said you have them you just wont give them which makes it sound like you dont have any.
/r/MensRights20/12/16 03:14 AM
1

So instead of saying that what OP said isn't true and giving a reason, you are going to say it isn't true and give no reason, all your doing is the same thing he did, and you were the one trying to bring sourced material in this and you wont even provide it yourself
/r/MensRights20/12/16 03:02 AM
1

these examples you got that show that OP was wrong, if you had them from the start why not post them?
/r/MensRights20/12/16 02:51 AM
1

Source?
/r/MensRights20/12/16 02:45 AM
1

I don't understand how or why you need a source on common sense? like the stampedes and shit start because people do not feel secure for whatever reason.
/r/MensRights20/12/16 02:37 AM
1

Your fact driven conversation went and asked for sources 2 times, one saying how people can be trampled in human stampedes, I don't know how you need a source for that but here Source? Like I said, no directed at, you but everyone that just asks for a source. Ask it and give something to the conversation, maybe you point of view for god sakes with your own source telling them they are wrong.
/r/MensRights20/12/16 02:26 AM
1

If everyone I called an ass hated me I would have no one to talk to ever, so yes, I do most certainly call people I know and enjoy being around asses, or much worse and they do the same back I am sorry that you are so fragile that the word ass offended you. Also I never even called you an ass directly, all I said is when people "Source" "Source" Source" shit they sound like an ass, asking for a source because you actually want to know and going "Source?" are two different things
/r/MensRights20/12/16 02:12 AM
1

I never said anything about not liking you in my first post, are you fucking crazy dude?
/r/MensRights20/12/16 02:03 AM
1

So your point was that you don't want me to like you? Ok I guess I don't like you then
/r/MensRights20/12/16 01:59 AM
1

I have no fucking clue what point you are trying to make man, whats your point? Tough shit? Apparently they were just to damn good and went over my head.
/r/MensRights20/12/16 01:51 AM
1

I have no clue if you think you made a point or if you even tried to because I am so lost, but ok buddy good job
/r/MensRights20/12/16 01:45 AM
2

Because you asked for a source 2 different times, and then added nothing to the conversation saying what the topic was about, I have no fucking clue what you are on about right now
/r/MensRights20/12/16 01:29 AM
1

Ok then have a fact driven conversation, but saying source doesn't make it a fact driven conversation
/r/MensRights20/12/16 12:59 AM
4

There is a way to ask for a source correctly and a way to make yourself look like an ass doing it. If you actually want a source on something or facts say that you are interested in reading up about it and learning, saying "source?" really does just make you look like an ass

What privileges did women have that men didn't except for signing up for the selective services at the time? It's the only thing I can thing off, its terrible but women were placed lower than men at the time. They weren't exempt because they were privileged, they were exempt because they were weaker than men
/r/MensRights08/06/16 02:38 AM

Trust me I had not forgotten that I had to sign up for selective services when I turn 18, it's not something you just forget about, with that said, this one thing did not make men less privileged then women in the 40's, I understand that it's not a good thing, but you can't say because of the draft that men and women have always been on equal terms

I mean we could talk about how they were not hired like men, or how they weren't paid the same, or maybe how they were not allowed to use birth control, or maybe you want to talk about how if a woman married an alien they lost their citizenship but if a man did he was fine, it's up to you. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_women%27s_legal_rights_(other_than_voting)#1940.E2.80.931969 Just use control f and type in United states to see what rights women acquired since the early 1900's, or …

The one who was drafted was unfortunate, not privileged nor unprivileged, that man that was drafted still had more going for him in the US than a woman did in that time. The man who didn't get drafted didn't have his male privilege due to him not being drafted, he had it because he was a man in the US at the time. This seams to be a very narrow minded thing. Since men had to face one very serious problem at the time, the draft, you act like they were did not have more than women at the time whic…

/r/MensRights07/06/16 02:30 AM

No I didn't miss the point, when women hadn't had the right to vote for a full 25 years, I would call men privileged at that time. They weren't allowed to join on the battle field either so it was obvious who was going to fight and unfortunately die. I said nothing about current day privilege, why even bring it up? It has nothing to do with 72 years ago.
/r/MensRights07/06/16 02:28 AM

This post is really pushing it. Are you trying to compare what you call their privilege to current "male privilege"? If you are, you do realize you are wrong? White males 72 years ago definitely had more privileges than women, I mean women had only been allowed to vote for 25 years at that point, over half the women alive at that point had seen actual male privilege in the form of women not being allowed to vote. I understand that this post is more than likely aimed at the draft, but 72 years is…

Yeah, that's how I feel anymore, I feel like this sub is just becoming modern feminists but for men, shame

Question, if I am against women in the army how should I feel about this? I like the equality but I don't like women in the army for various reasons, so I feel like I should be against this while appreciating the want for equality of this lawyer

the current treatments for breast cancer leave women with a host of options to retain almost full breast appearance Really depends on the type and severity of the cancer. To be honest I do not know any women who have had the luck of being able to keep their breasts even with all these hosts of treatments out there for them. while the treatment options for prostate cancer almost always result in partial or complete loss of bladder control and sexual function, sometimes permanently Well I don't kn…

I didn't assume women have it worst? I mean if I did I probably wouldn't have even mentioned men getting breast cancer because you know men? Breast cancer expected death rate 1 of 36 women Prostate cancer expected death rate is also 1 out of 36 men I mean if you want equality that's pretty much it. 1 out of 36 of each gender is going to die from breast cancer/prostate cancer. It isn't about how many are affected it is about keeping the death per amount down. If we were to take away from breast c…

You are right they are, but that could be because of the amount of money that is being invested into it, now that the gap is narrowing and we have such a better knowledge of breast cancer more money can be focused on prostate cancer.

I think one of the main points is also breast cancer, but the cases and types are so much more abundant which could also be part of the reason. Also men can get breast cancer, it is unlikely but in no way shape or form impossible, so everything else is pretty crazy but the cancer one I feel like is really pushing it.

Although that guys might be a little out there. There is a serious problem with men not being able to help kids. Im 20 so I could probably get away with it, but if I was 40 or so there could be some problems. Just imagine your kid walking off with a strange man, if you don't know the whole story it would freak the hell out of you. Regardless if it was a serious problem I think most people would forget about what could happen and truly just rush to help

I understand, but he acted like as a white male, you can do just about anything, you have this unbelievable gift. While I understand I am pretty privileged, not everything is just given to me. My example always being, as a college student, scholarships and who they go to. I mean there are specific black college scholarships and such, yet I have never seen a white male scholarship(haven't seen one, but I guess there could be one) and if there was one, I am sure there would be an outrage to some e…

No I don't respect that, but I do understand and respect their culture and beliefs. I can't justify what they do, I think it is wrong, but I understand that something that has been done for many years by them would be a hard thing to just stop because science says so. I do respect all religions, we each have a choice, we all choose differently and I do respect that because we are all different people with different beliefs. Just imagine if everyone thought like you, ya the world may be better in…

Nah, only Atheists such as yourself, ones who can't be ok with other religions, you know assholes. Even when I was religious the majority of my friends were Atheists but they still understood and respected religion. Is google to hard to use? of course not, but since you are arguing the point, why would I look it up, your argument is pointless unless you have proof. I never said I was for it to continue to happen, "I never said it was acceptable" this right here should have been a hint. If I fuck…

Religious people? Who said I was religious? Well I haven't seen any and have still yet to be shown any, so as of now I am thinking you have none. I never said it was acceptable, just that she did watch she thought was right, again whether I believe it is right or not is not part of this conversation since it is a little late, you just can't walk into the doctors office and say hey doc, misses some skin, would you stick some on there for me? Yes I do understand that, what are you trying to say, t…

Illogical fallacies? Dude I asked for cold hard facts, received none, I did however compare it to something very very loosely related and I won't deny that. "Brb, my mom is a nurse so therefore it's completely okay to force a permanent procedure on her child's genitals because some supposed "man in the sky" also agrees with it. Oh, and it's also okay for future moms to force it on their children because I'm okay with it." Well I am glad you know have fully understood what I said but in complete …

Well yes, but also how she acted around the whole topic in general, even if she wouldn't have gone with the smirk, there was still something weird about it

Instead of linking me to the site the has random facts, please find a reliable article that says this, something written and reviewed by doctors. This is the equivalent of seeing a tv commercial for toothpaste when they say that 3/4 doctors say this is the brand to use. What doctors, where is the evidence that says this, how reliable are they, you know the important stuff. And a whole 3/8", if that wouldn't have impressed the ladies I don't know what would have. Ya religious reasons, to her "sky…

They way she went around talking about it, she seamed very reluctant to even consider any of it, I could be wrong, but that was just the vibe I got from her.

You sound like a guy with a mutilated penis who now hates his mother over such a minuscule thing. But hey whatever man, I can't miss something I never experienced, no point of being upset about it, just move on, 1 day old me didn't have a say in it, I can be mad at the world because I am missing apparently 50% of the skin on my penis that moves. I still got 50%, better than none I suppose. No that wasn't the sole reason, religious reasons at the time, but an added benefit that I can't complain a…

Uhh neither? I got my own dick, it doesn't look dead like the one or like its been polished like the other. Also fun fact, mother is a nurse and has had to clean out infections from older men's foreskin due to them forgetting or not realizing how important it is to clean. Loosing some sensitivity isn't going to kill me, getting an infection when I am 70 could.

Hmm interesting, he was pretty thoughtful on both sides I thought, she was a mega bitch though. I thought he was trying to be balanced and fair until he said white guys will manage. Not to cool.

No no, I think the "not just women" is for people to understand that men can be abused to, "share this with everyone, not just women because most of you fucks think that those are the only people abused." A lot of people wont think about men, thats why she said, not just women.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
