Sure, why not. It’s not like virginity is an actual thing in the real world. It’s just a concept of if you’ve had sex or not.

Just stare at her and start slowly backing away.

why do you have to tell her about your past? As far as I’m concerned, you could leave it at something vague like, “yeah I was dumb when I was younger and slept around a bit too much” and not need to mention hookers at all.

Op did this experiment with the goal of helping men on the sub Reddit, and some of you assholes are making fun of him for getting too into character? Anyways, thanks for the research OP. It provided some valuable information for me and I'm sure many others who are a tiny bit mature.

That's excellent! Realizing you can only control your perception of yourself is a huge milestone. We all have shit that we don't like about ourselves. A good quote I like that Tyrion said is: Let me give you some advice bastard. Never forget what you are. The rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor, and it can never be used to hurt you. What this says to me is acknowledge whatever it is you don't like about yourself, accept it, and move on. If you're upset or in denial about something, th…

I'm not trying to assume, but are you judging yourself by the fact that you're a 5'6" thin guy in your mid-30's? I think if you are, and it's a negative judgment, that's the reason you're running into roadblocks. Edit: Also being thin/average build is something you can change. It'll require work, but you can change it if you want.

I think reading on Reddit can be good (assuming you're reading subreddits that help improve you...ELI5, News, some posts on Seddit, etc.) But it's not a substitute for proper reading of a book. I think the differences are that: There's the commitment of reading everyday to work towards accomplishing the bigger goal of finishing a book Ideas are much more formulated since you're typically looking at 300-400 pages. The act of sitting/lying down and reading is meditative. It's a break from a screen…

Definitely! As mentioned, I'm still fairly new to reading seriously/consistently, so I'm hoping to grow my list moving forward. Here are some books I love: The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck by Mark Manson (I got many ideas about living life from this book) Models by Mark Manson (This is one I read when it first came out, but really need to revisit) The Last Lecture The Tipping Point Outliers And I think reading fiction is important too... The Alchemist Kafka on the Shore 1984 Please hit me up …

I'm not saying if you improve yourself completely, you'll be able to get any girl. That idea is usually just marketing bullshit and not how life works. Because you're right. There are plenty of situations that will just never work out. I think it's important if you're interested in a girl to see if a romantic relationship will work out. But once you realize it won't, it's important to be OK with that, realize there are many others who will be better matches, and move on. Of course, this is also …

Excellent advice. This is great to keep in mind so you don't blame yourself on bad situations. Also you have a typo here: "bad dates, bad convos, but openers"

Clever idea. I started a similar lifestyle a few weeks ago (the meditating with "10% happier" app and working out) and my overall mindset has improved which has affected literally every other aspect of my life. Saving this post to revisit when I haven't woken up in the middle of the night and started to browse reddit

Excellent post! This is true confidence. You're doing things to better yourself for the sake of loving yourself and wanting the best. It's like altruism for yourself.

You sound like me! Except at the moment I don't have very many friends. Anyways, it appears that you're making excuses for why you can't or don't want to change. I know this from personal experience, and you won't get anywhere with that attitude. You'll just remain unhappy and stagnant where you currently are in life. Don't think about why you can't do something, or how you'll do it later...Just do it, and do it now!

She really nailed that girl at the end, and came off as a huge bitch. Anyways, good watch, learned a few things. Thanks!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
