Data on 402 908 children were identified from 12 studies (one randomised controlled trial, four cohort studies, and seven case–control studies). Circumcision was associated with a significantly reduced risk of UTI (OR = 0.13; 95% CI, 0.08 to 0.20; p<0.001) with the same odds ratio (0.13) for all three types of study design. 12 studies and 402 908 doesn´t sound like a small group of doctors, and my point since the beginning has been why circumcision was practiced in ancient times (Egypt, African …

https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/circumcision-by-country https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_circumcision Ancient Egypt, several African tribes, Jews, Australian Aborigines and Pacific Islanders; does that not fit the "multiple separate ancient cultures" description. it's no less painful or traumatizing as an infant. This statement requires a lot of evidence on your part because an adult penis is far more developed and complicated than a child's, and as far as I can tell t…

So all of these organizations are conspiring to cut foreskins with these fake studies? https://adc.bmj.com/content/90/8/853 https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/news/media/releases/declining_rates_of_us_infant_male_circumcision_could_add_billions_to_health_care_costs_experts_warn https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/news/media/releases/declining_rates_of_us_infant_male_circumcision_could_add_billions_to_health_care_costs_experts_warn You can talk about moisture all you want but the data is just not there;…

Reduces the rate of infection significantly if your culture hasn't developed stuff like soap. Also the foreskin's function is not to prevent infection or anything related to hygiene; it serves to facilitate penetration (the penis slides within the foreskin so there's not as much friction between the vagina and penis) and to keep the sensitive head of the penis from being uncomfortably exposed when not having sex.

It does have health benefits for unhygienic people though, that is probably why circumcision appeared in multiple separate ancient cultures (with little or no hygienic development/tech. Studies have shown though that circumcised men don't have less sex than uncircumcised men, but it does decrease sensitivity. Men being forced/pressured to have them at 14 though is absolutely brutal; it's a really REALLY panful and traumatizing experience as an adult (I've had to experience it :( ).

Oh yeah, and the feminists that control Wikipedia are probably reptilians too; it's all part of the scheme to convince us that the earth is a globe! Seriously though, feminism isn't that organized of an ideology, their not sitting in a round table underground deciding which article their gonna censor next. Feminists are convinced that they are the antidote to gender issues, the only necessary antidote in fact, and as such they attack anything gender politics related that isn't feminist because t…

Quoting what the SPLC said about men's rights doesn't mean that you agree with them. There is certainly people within the community that are mysoginists (all large groups have extremists). Whoever wrote this couldn't just go into the subreddit, look at a few posts, and wright a Wikipedia article on it, they had to read and quote outlets to remain neutral. The bad things in the article aren't an example of Wikipedia have unfair views on the movement, it's evidence of mainstream media having them …

Quite frankly I'm not mad at this article; it explains that Men's Rights and this subreddit is controversial (which it is) but it doesn't say that it's bad. It explains that the media came up with their own conclusions about how this subreddit is a "hate group" and at the end it presents that the source of criticism of the sub denied that it is a hate group and explained that that was merely conjecture of the media outlets. Overall, a pretty fair presentation of the facts.

I think you didn't understand when I said: You're not the arbiter of who is or isn't a feminist. If I went around defending Nazism by saying every bad thing that happened that was done by Nazis was, in fact, not Nazism and instead an example of the faults of capitalism or whatever, anybody with any conscience would point out how I'm wrong. Feminists don't fight against male-only military draft, they don't fight for men's reproductive rights, don't seek to increase safe houses for male victims of…

/r/MensRights23/05/21 03:16 AM

You're not the arbiter of who is or isn't a feminist. If what you said was true there would be as much (if not more) efforts from feminism in general to help men with suicide, education and violence, yet there's hardly any. We don't define groups on the basis of what they say they are, we do so on their behavior.

I had a circumcision as an adult due to medical reasons; it sucked BIG TIME: Blood and weird fluids coming out of your penis, it get's almost spherical with inflammation, a generally embarrassing experience with all of the medical staff, stitches around the hole head that are horrifying to look at, amongst a bunch of other traumatizing stuff. I would have suffered and remembered nearly nothing of this at all had it been done when I was a child. A lot of people know this: how much worse it is as …

I don't really know man... It's the reason why I'm always so undescided on the whole men's rights side of the abortion discution. I do have the impression, though, that the ethics behind the problem tend to be oversimplified, which I don't think is a good practice...

I don't think that would be comparable though: If a woman aborts, the child isn't born and that is it. If a man "aborts" we might just have children without sufficient economical resources and parental figures (which is not the child's fault!!).

Idk if your joking. But this isn't a matter of "Bitches" It's about society treating everybody equally, that's what the sub is about. Yeah I also just like the mindset of "let's just not have draft" Yeah and when the fourth reich comes around to invade we do what? Wait? This is like discussing taxation and saying that the solution to lowering the taxes is to have the roads stop deteriorating.

I don't know if it has to gow to that extreme. Apparently Norway, Seaden and the Netherlands have equality in draft (according to wikipedia at least lmao). But I don't think boycoting society is necesary. I'd probably go to jail instead of a war (depending on the war). But for example I haven't done my military service in my country (for protest of a lot of things about the military and my country in general) and don't plan to do it unless I have no other option :/

RAINN took this data from the Bureau of Justice Statistics. Here's how that organisation defends the two: Rape - Forced sexual intercourse including both psychological coercion as well as physical force. Forced sexual intercourse means penetration by the offender(s). Includes attempted rapes, male as well as female victims, and both heterosexual and same sex rape. Attempted rape includes verbal threats of rape. Sexual assault - A wide range of victimizations, separate from rape or attempted ra…

90%? You have stats to back that up? You're commiting what's called a fallacy of inappropriate generalization, where you use your personall experience and worldview and apply it to all (or in your case nine tenths of) cases. Yes many teenagers know what they're doing, both male and female, but the legal system establishes an age where it is deemed that the totality of people can make these choices, and it is critical that it is respected. If having sexual relationships with adults while underage…

Well it's debatable... My point isn't really about that, it's just that it seems absurd to equate the matter to sexism because it implies that it's unfair (to women, mind you) that women aren't forced to give away their human rights in the case of war. I mean, mandatory service for men is still prevalent in a lot of countries and one of the most baffling situations of sexism today, and OP over there has the audacity to bitch about it potentially being bad for a woman entering the precidency... The organisation DVAA is non governmental and clearly interested in the male side of sexism, which is alright. But just visiting their page shows that their data and information is kind of all over the place and the citations sort of go to other pages with citations of their own or straight up they don't show any.
