Jesus Christ. She made some bad life choices, but her kids did none of that.

I'm American and that's exactly how I feel about my country. I'm embarrassed of my birth home.

Let her get upset. Just don't you yourself become upset. A girl will never leave when she feels that you are still "above" needing her. She wants to be able to go to her friends and say what an asshole, abusive, dickhead you are and how much you begged to get her back. Don't give into it. Let her leave and wait for her to contact you again. Fill the "break" by seeing other women, it's within you're right to do so. When she comes crawling back saying "You've changed..." snag it back up if you lik…

That's the thing. You don't hear people saying that men should post their nosh up on art gallery walls to liberate themselves. If anything we're told to be ashamed of it, keep it hidden as a nasty, vile thing to be hinted at and ridiculed if necessary. We don't empower ourselves by flashing attributes we are born with, we empower ourselves by building on those things and expanding our abilities to make change, reach higher than ourselves and attain the dreams impossible of yesterday.

I'm a Millenial, and I don't want to get married because in 25 years, I've never once seen a "happy" or what I consider to be functional marriage. I know they exist, but it's so exceedingly rare that it just simply isn't real to me. It's like saying that you can be an astronaut when you grow up. Well, yeah, you can, but that isn't the reality for the vast majority of people out there. It may be possible, but it's incomprehensible to me and I have absolutely zero interest in pursuing it.

Not saying it wouldn't work. I'm saying that the timing of the question may effect the manner in which you would receive or perhaps interpret the results. That's not something worth getting angry over, pal. Calm down.

The test idea isn't bad, but let me add that it will likely not work quite as expected if she doesn't feel like she's got enough claim on you yet (like in a LTR or exclusive relationship). Many of these women will agree emphatically with whatever you say and do to keep you or give you the illusion that they're perfectly compatible with you. Generally, it's not that hard to figure out when they're doing it, but it may interfere with the outcome of the test. Again, not a terrible idea and I could …

I'm physically alright, and I was moved to another village where I did end up having a very positive experience and we made a lot of good change. I still love the Peace Corps and think they're amazing, but they're caught in a tough position in a lot of ways. If they make too much noise, then they risk being removed from country, but they also risk damage to their volunteers and the host country nationals as well. It's a problem. It's a risk we all personally acknowledge as a possibility. We do w…

I wasn't in the military, but I was in the Peace Corps which has similar training sessions. In every case we talked about, women were the target of sexual assault or rape (which actually is very common and it's good we reviewed it). However, when we all went to site, I (Male) experienced sexual assault and harassment by a male village elder and I had no idea how to handle it. I was the first in my group to have such a problem and let myself stay in a situation that I shouldn't have far longer th…

I was wondering the same thing. Weed is a really interesting drug. I've experienced some of the deepest, self reflective and creative passions under the influence; however, that introspection comes at a price. I've also been thrown into harshly self-critical hatred and locked into obsessing over past mistakes. As I've grown older, I've become more selective and cautious with my use. It's no longer an every day, morn' to night supplement, but something I have to check myself and see if I'm in the…

I read about half of this and stopped because I couldn't understand what was at issue. Is she mad that her life is comfortable? Is it bad that they as a couple have worked out a routine? What's wrong with a routine? And if there is something wrong with it, why on Earth did you just wake up one day and realize it? Change it! It's not anyone else's fault that your life isn't spent as a hippie on a VW--you just didn't make those choices. I just don't get it

I did for many years, but it got lost in a move maybe 5 years ago. Think like a bad 80's hair metal demon with a triple chin, red skin and a Doom style chainsaw. The tips of the triangles for the saw were red. This was in the post Columbine years.

In 8th grade, I drew pictures of a very mean teacher I had. One in particular was her depicted as a demon with a chainsaw arm. She found it, dragged me by my ear to the principals office and cried to him in private. When I was called in, he accused me of threatening her because the two-dimensional chainsaw looked as though it was cutting into her leg. They had a councilor meet with me and refused to call my parents until the meeting was over. I was suspended from school for a week and had detent…

As a man who's been mugged several times, it does concern me to walk alone. I'm not necessarily a small guy either, but when you're outmatched you're outmatched. I've had knives to the throat and belly, my clothes cut from my body and a gun pointed at my face among other things. It's best to be alert but not afraid. If you can't win, you shouldn't fight, and you should take an honest inventory if your things and ask if it's worth dying for. I spent some time in a very dangerous country. Many of …

I think you may be right there. In the occasions I'm thinking of, I was in an environment of either only-women or predominantly-women. It seemed more like something they put each other up to, which actually seems pretty similar to the reasons men do the same thing. Though of course not in all circumstances.

I've had my ass slapped and grabbed by women on more than one occasion. Does that mean women feel entitled to my body? I'm not sure.

Oh my god dude, you just clarified an incident for me that I've had a hard time rationalizing. I like going to raves every now and again to let loose and have fun after working hard. On one occasion in particular (similar ones have occurred at other raves) I made friends with a group next to my camp. Amongst that group was a Brit girl who was pretty attractive but I wasn't interested. She attached herself at the hip to me the whole show and I learned throughout the event that she had a boyfriend…

Then fight the idea of democracy itself rather than blame women for somehow polluting the whole thing when the issue is far more complex than just on segment of the population being the cause of America's decline

Okay, then, let's hear your big idea then. What does your America look like then? After we take away women's right to vote, who's next? Christians? Communists? Anarchists? The unemployed? The gay? Who decides? You? Democracy is not designed for efficiency, it's not necessarily designed for fairness either, but it is designed to give people some agency in governance. There will always be people we don't agree with and it's absolutely foolish to believe we can just lop off segments of our collecti…

Yeah, pal. In democracies, people often vote for shit you don't agree with, and I don't agree with that stuff either, but that doesn't mean you advocate to remove a segment of the population because you see it as prohibitive on the kind of change your group would like to see. And you're right, those representatives don't have to do what we say, and they do often mislead or mischaracterize themselves and their positions, but in a system that we have built to allow for all (with few exceptions) pe…

Dude, women voting is not going to destroy this country for Christ's sake. Corporate interests, unfettered and favored lobbying practices, an ill informed, apathetic population created by a sensationalist media most certainly will. To say women shouldn't vote even if we do disagree with their trending messages is just pathetic and it ignores that vast, more present and reasonable cracks in the foundation of our democracy.
