Ah yes, more doublespeak. In which “chivalry” no longer means “men treating women with the highest ideals of romanticism and having honourable standards for their own male behaviour” but instead means “women serving men like fawning, eager slaves”. Clearly, it is too hard to expect school staff to know that words have actual meanings.

I’ve been dreaming of living in a women-only feminist commune... I’m interested in these writings you mention, would you mind sharing any titles you know of?

Also, if you’ve been under any type of extended stress and you’re worried about your hormones, please get them checked out by your doctor. Or do some research on how you can correct hormonal imbalances, since hormones affect everything including whether you find people attractive or not.

Make SURE you research the legal ramifications of this in your area. Where I live, if an unmarried woman does not put a man’s name on her child’s birth certificate, the man can’t lay claim to the child (or where he can, his Iegal rights are quite diminished). If this same woman was married, her husband’s name would automatically be put on the child’s birth certificate (even if he isn’t the biological father) and he would automatically have far more rights to the child. Yes, it is some messed up …

Ugh. Me too. Even years later, my brain is still coming up with more of my ex’s total-lack-of-empathy red flags that I didn’t register at the time. I really get you on being scared to go through that again. So I keep coming back to this sub to sharpen my intuition and observation. so that I can be wiser in the future. You’re here and every little bit of wisdom you’re absorbing will help your future self too.

She means male violence. Calling it “gender based violence” is orwellian newspeak which removes the words that accurately describe what it is and who does it. If you can’t name the problem, you’re prevented from demanding the problem be resolved. Gay men are not “femmes”. Gay men are not French women or French wives, they are gay men. Males being violent to other males is still male violence.

Yep, I feel this. It’s a hard awakening but worth the eye-opening-ness of it, I’ve found.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
