Does this take into account the under employed or unemployed people with arts degrees? Edit: $65,000 mid career isn't really that great though.

That's good to hear. Most people who do get BA degrees aren't as lucky as you are in getting that $70,000 per year position. Many of them are working underemployed, such as my cousin. She has a BA degree in what you would call a "fun" major (Photography). She's underemployed and lives with her parents in her thirties. She has no debt, but no real job experience to speak of, either... Other than interning endlessly and volunteer work.

Having a degree in Teaching or a special certificate program is DIFFERENT than just having a BA in History/Poly Sci. I will point out that a degree in Business is not the same as any other BA. I do think that teaching can be a worthwhile profession provided that you complete the state licensing required for that degree program. Also, let me ask you this-did you go into debt to get this degree? Because chances are, the men who get liberal arts degrees get them typically with less debt than women …

The $1.5 trillion dollars of student loans? And most of the people who aren't able to pay back those loans are arts majors. Do with that what you will, that data speaks for itself. When I mean ROI, I mean dollar amount. Not what you learn from it.

I actually don't think that arts degrees are entirely useless. It's the people who get into debt for these degrees that I am referring to, who go to XYZ no-name college and then have $50,000 in the hole. But, let me ask you this-did you get your degree in the 21st century? Or did you get your degree decades ago? Because that makes a HUGE difference for the demographic that I am referring to. Actually, I never stated that "costs of college are no longer worth it." I personally think that college can be worth the cost, but it's not worth going into debt over. Especially when XYZ colleges are turning out thousands of graduates per semester. Part of the value that college once brought to the table was scarcity. I'm not saying that the liberal arts and humanities have no intellectual value. Nor am I stating that the degrees have zero value, either. If you take into the account, however, student loan balances-is when the degree becomes worthless. I have no problems with people becoming historians or teachers or philosophers if they pay cash for their degrees. I'm not even "MGTOW" in the sense that I dismiss women entirely (I have a girlfriend). I just think very cautiously and look at the ROI when dealing with certain people/outcomes.

I'm not stressing about being banned, Lol. I'm still able to comment on posts that I'm tagged in but I'm not allowed to post anything new. Look at my post history and you'll see that I'm frustrated with someone for bitching about discrimination of a mental illness. I don't disagree with mental illnesses-I just don't think they have the same effect that people say they do because I've gone through a depression (red pill rage).
