Good luck with that one. Family courts across America tend to favor the mother in custody battles when dealing with children "in tender years". After the children reach puberty, the court may be more open to fathers getting primary custody. My brother in laws young wife moved out with their three year old son and moved in with a young surfer boy. The their life together was in part subsidized by my BIL's child support payments. Then she move on to many other guys with her son in toe.. Some of wh…

You are really a very fortunate man. First no children. You have no idea what it is like to divorce with young children. You would be stuck paying for many years, have limited access to your children and have the boy of month move in with her and your kids on your dime. Second, OBS told you what is going on. The most important thing is really to move on with your life. Living a happy life is the best revenge.

Good for you. Now, please take care of your self. Get into therapy (in person or on-line), read up on how to recover from betrayal trauma. Work the five stages of loss. This work will expand your emotional health and well being. There is not substitute for personal growth, it just comes at a high cost. But the cost is worth it. Stay away from alcohol and drugs. Please get fit. I started swimming, wow is that a mind changer. What ever you are thinking before you get into the pool will evaporate i…

These are really great points. Use her fog as leverage for a better divorce settlement and than tell AP's wife after divorce has been finalized and the cash is in your pocket. Yes, get fit man, emotionally and financially. Move on, develop new interests, new hobbies. Look for ways to develop your career. A fit man with money and a good career is a real chick magnet.

Be thankful you do not have any kids. Does AP's wife know. Men rarely want to leave their kids for another woman. The child support alone will leave him with very little spending money and limited contact with his precious little girls. Get to know AP's wife. Be a friend, that will bust his balls and put a damper on STBXW's thrill.

Gas lighting is abuse. Focus on getting fit, working out at a quality gym, developing new interests, changing your schedule so you are not so predictable, new hair style, new clothes. How about going back to school to develop some marketable skills. Get your self a new life going while you are waiting for the kids to grow up. Independence is a great narc killer. all the best to you.

Good for you. Man you are way ahead of the game. Sounds like you are truly ready to move on. Just protect yourself and your assets. Be smart, pick your time and place. Make sure that every one knows what she did. Accumulate evidence. Maybe even hire a PI to be on the safe side. Plus follow what your attorney tells you.

The good new is that you are now very well educated. You now know what some people are capable of of. Please continue to be who you are. To get an even better education, read surviving infidelity and AsOneAferInfidelity here on reddit. Get educated about issues related to mood swings during and after pregnancy, etc. Learn about how and why women cheat (and men). More women are cheating now than ever before. Know the red flags to look for. Office romances are quite common, especially when women (…

Please keep working with your therapist. Check into support groups church groups, there is no substitute for community and support. Read all you can on the divorce, pain and growth. All the best to you. Please go to the gym with your son, get out of the house. Get together with friends as much as possible. You and WW have raised some very fine young adults. Be thankful for that.

It may be that AP being your friend helps her feel better about the betrayal. He is a nice guy and a friend of my husband. It makes it more comfortable. It may be her way of expressing anger at your unresolved issues. Check out the five stages of grieving Its part of the process of letting go. It is my experience that emotional growth is the key to resolving issues of loss and pain. I have a lot experience with both.

Check with a lawyer first and a mental health counselor. Look at all your options from a cost benefit analysis. Your freedom may cost you an arm and a leg. You may not be able to live with the pain but how about the cost of divorce. Yes what she has done to you is horrible. As difficult as it may be, how about starting a new life without her while married for financial reasons. Just a thought. All the best to you. You do not deserve this.

Of course you may be sad. You have spent a good part of your life with this person, brought a child into the world together. Big changes ahead. Please get into counseling and read all you can. This is time for you to heal and grow emotionally while you co-parent your child. You are on an amazing journey. No where to go but up.

Depositions are less formal than court proceeding. You are both sworn in to tell the truth, etc. They can go on for hours, maybe even a day. Your attorney will typically start with simple questions to get some basic facts. He will most likely start out being very nice. He will approach his questioning in a sequential manner at first and then start to mix up questions to she if has her answers straight. This could go on for hours. If you are paying by the hour, this could get expensive.

Hey man, these women are telling you that you are a very fine person who is attractive. AS a 77 year old guy, I can tell you to move on as soon as possible for your own sanity. Maintain you health. If you are in good health, you may be able to find new work opportunities after you retire from your current gig. I have read that Portugal is a nice place with a much lower cost of living. It was an emotional affair with our church pastor. She was going through postpartum depression after the birth of our son in her mid-30's. I raised holy hell and was kicked out of the church. So much for holy men. There was no way I was going to leave our son. It took a few years of of work and growth on both our parts to truly reconcile. Never want to revisit that part of my life again.

Unfortunately this is more common than you may think. Please get into counseling, divorce her and move on. You can thank the family courts which give the mother primary control of you child until his hormones kick in. This happened to my brother in law. His wife moved in with a hot young surfer boy on BIL's dime. She went through many men over the years. My nephew has said that some were real assholes and abusive. You are experiencing the real cost of marriage in today's world.

I remember reading that an aging country music star, Dwight Yokum, had just married a really hot 25 year old. He was in his 60's, had a couple of hits in the 70's. I also remembered a vice president banker in his mid- 50's that I knew who was dating a smoking hot woman in her early 30's. He was into motorcycles. She started going out with him on his bike on weekends.

For the legal side, follow your attorney's advice. Get into counseling for the emotions and trauma. For the children, pay the support $, set up a visitation schedule and stick to it. The key thing is to get the tools to learn how to work yourself down. Go to the gym, work out to help you moderate your emotions and pain. Get into support groups, church groups, 12 step programs, any thing to help you establish support group. Read, there is a ton of information available on your tube and support bo…

PS: do not cry or feel sorry for your self. Stay away from booz and drugs. Get off the couch, get buff, grow and live every day to the fullest. My girlfriend from college left me when I was in the Army during the Vietnam War. When I got out, traveled to California, started a new life, got the job I wanted, traveled to Asia, had an amazing time.

The ultimate of irony is that a woman's sexual market value peaks in early 20's. For a man who is fit, presents themselves well and makes above average money, his sexual market value peaks in his mid to late 40's. Women in their 30's all want the hot guy. They forget that they are competing with much younger and more attractive women in their 20's. What an illusion.

Take self leadership. Betrayal trauma is real, get counseling to start. Move forward with your life. Get fit, gym, yoga, ballroom dancing. Be close to family and friends for support. See a top quality hair stylist to get the best look possible. Buy some new clothes. Watch: "crazy stupid love" funny but true. You move forward, don't sit at home and mope. If there is a chance of reconcilment, personal growth is your ticket to ride. PS: on drugs and/or alcohol. Get sleep and eat well. Personal grow…

No you do not have to wait out the clock. Get into counseling with a therapist that understands what you are experiencing. Grow in place. Go to the gym, new friendships, new life. I totally understand about your situation. I was there. My son needed a lot of support that my wife was not capable of understanding. Getting through high school was a real challenge. Get a divorce attorney if you don't have one. The general rule is to stay at the home until the divorce is settled and agreement has been reached on dividing up the assets. If you have children it s even more critical that you stay in your home. Lots of options: move into an unoccupied room, if you have one. Another option, buy a roll up futon, and care out a living space fro sleeping in you house. Start working on your new life now. If there are no kids, come and go as you please. For an educat…

Talk to your divorce attorney. It is my understanding that leaving the home may be viewed a desertion by the family courts. Follow the advice of your lawyer. There is some very good advice below. If you can put up with discomfort, then star at your home, maybe even after the divorce. Save the money, spend time with the kids, and then go to the gym, hang with friends for an hour or two if she is around. We have a real recession coming. Please go on you tube to follow strong successful man by Richard Cooper. He has a lot to say about women and relationships. Great advice. Your plan of action is really great: focus on son, family, career and friends. Focus on staying in shape, eat healthy, stay off alcohol and drugs. Here is a secure thought: you sexual market value will peak between 45 and 50 if you stay true to your plan. Her sexual market value peaked in her early 20's. She doesn't know it, yet. She will be competing with women that are much younger and hotter for long term relationships. Any woman can have a hook up that will make her feel cool a…

I am very sorry that this is happening to you. Lots of great advice. I just wanted to add a few thoughts: if you are in good health and fit, with a decent income and career, your sexual market value will be good for many years to come; stay away from alcohol or drugs; go to the gym, buff up. Here are some new ideas: join a dance class or two, or three. Most ballroom dance classes have more women that men, it will get you out of the house in a social environment where you meet women on a casual b…

What she does not realize is that she is competing with all the single women in their 20's and early to mid 30's. The represents a very large pool of available women she is competing against. You are competing with other single successful men who are also in good physical shape. If you stay in shape and maintain your career, you will be attractive for many years to come. The fact that she cheated and you did not will make you even more marketable. All the best to you.

For one, a guy hits is peak sexual market value in his early 40s if he has a good job and a bright future. A woman is said to peak out in her early 20's. So time is on your side. How to meet other singles: how about dancing lesions to start. It will get you our of the house and put you in a place where you can mix with women on a casual basis. How long will it take: depends on your ability to drop negative judgements and move on with your life.
