Long time, no kvetch. I've decided that I'm going to go volcel/MGTOW for a while. I've gained back a lot of the weight I've lost, which pretty much fucks me over as far as SMV go. I've had some Internet friends (female) tell me I have a good face, but I've got too much self hatred to really put myself out there for other peoples' sake. And I'm having too many flashbacks to this time last year, when the woman I loved most started dating Mr. Macho Man. They've since broken up, but I have to rememb…

I've honestly decided beautiful women are bitchy or otherwise superficial, and just aren't worth the effort. If they're just going to use me for validation, then they can all go fuck off. I have better things to do with my time.

Interesting. One of the reasons I asked was that I heard of an Italian (I understand that Italy =/= Chile, so probably different culture) male supermodel who had trained as an engineer. Intriguing to hear about the personality similarities across the board.

I got the sense that there was a lot of scandal, e.g. Clarence Thomas and Bill-job Cllinton, but not a whole lot of political correctness. Maybe I'm wrong.

Seriously, all you had to do was attend a liberal arts college in the 2010s to see plenty of examples of crazy fishmouth feminist SJWs. Then again, maybe a lot of the posters here are either too old to have gone to school at this time, didn't go to college, or didn't go to a liberal arts college.

In what specific ways does feminism say "I love you, it was just the pain"? Whenever feminists claim that feminism benefits everybody and that "feminism is for men too" when they want to coopt men for their cause. Ironically this only applies when it's about causes where men are hurt by men or masculine structures - whenever men are victimized by women or feminized structures, they're shitlords who deserved it. Why do men feel guilty or in debt to feminism to the point where they feel they can't…

Does being broke make you want to be a libertarian, an anarchist, or a communist? I lean toward anarchism and libertarianism, in part because the artistic asshole in me makes me believe that I'll come out on top in the libertarian meritocracy, and because the anarchists have convinced me there will be a lot of free stuff. But I'm wondering what everyone else thinks. I've also realized you could join ISIS or a flashy fashy death squad too, and fuck people up for food.

This is probably why I love Malcolm Tucker and the Twelfth Doctor so much. Also, both are played by an actor with a distinctly un-American Dream career trajectory. And why I like salty British humor so much. Correction to my original comment btw: mono no aware is actually an awareness of the transience of things. But in "The Remains of the Day" (coincidentally by another British author), it's construed as despair by the protagonist over his horrible choices borne out of professional duty, simila…

It feels like there is a better understanding of disappointment in East Asian cultures then in the West. Don't tell everyone the job/sex/relationship market isn't working out for you, or you're a fucking loser who needs to toughen up. Probably going to wait myself, at this point. I mean, I just discovered that my hobbies allow me much more joy than dating ever would. Comics and amateur radio will not give me severe depression. Women do. Meanwhile, if I have to be 10 years older than my current age (26) to date the women I find beautiful now (20s), then I'll just be the 30-something man who dates 20-somethings and tell the people who broke my heart now to go fuck themselves. First off, scientific novels? What the hell am I gonna gain in terms of real scientific understanding from reading Attack on Chewbacca's Taint: A Star Wars Novel? The Ferengi Cycle II: The Ferengi Paradox? But seriously, what is a scientific novel? How am I going to understand science based on a novel, which is by definition some made up story? A science novel would be something like "The Selfish Gene" or "The Better Angels of Our Nature."

Yes. Would cut out the emotional messiness, while still getting physical pleasure. If it's just my robot, then there's no need to worry about STI's or infidelity. On the other hand, romance would probably be out of the question, but I think that's a small price to pay. Goes in with the messiness I described above. All in all, would buy.

That wouldn't exactly be dystopian, though: we wouldn't waste time and energy on negative emotions anymore, or on going after people who probably don't like us anyway. We can all be who we want to be. Do what we want to do. And not have to put ourselves through hell over and over again. That sounds like a utopia to me, not a dystopia.

You just hit the nail on the head. If relationships with the opposite gender are going to screw up your head, why even bother? Ignoring the other half is the only plausible solution.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/17 07:39 PM

If you can do it, go for it. I've pretty much decided to ignore cute women in their early 20s because the majority of them think I'm some kind of monster. And I won't even look at beautiful, blonde 20-somethings, because the majority use their looks to act bitchy. If you can disengage and protect your mental health... more power to ya!

Agree. The winners would have to face up to the fact that they didn't get where they are through hard work, but by luck. And they'd have to realize that they no longer have a moral case to kick down on the people on the bottom. Which is probably why nobody is going to address this, unless it becomes a major social issue. And even then, it will probably take a very long time to get to the bottom of things.

Non-incel (hopefully) posting here: The one great failure of both RP and BP is that neither offers a plausible solution for people who are truly unattractive, and cannot improve no matter what they do. I'm not sure if you can fight without demonization. The pills are so opposed to one another that coexistence is impossible. I think we're pretty much stuck with a fight to the death. Even if there are some opportunities to bridge the gap at some point, the vast majority of the time the pills' ideologies will be so different that they'll be at each others' throats.

Feminism has become its own echo chamber. In this way it's like certain right-wing movements (e.g. free-market fundamentalism, Moral Majority) in that it sees everything as a binary - you are either for women or you are against them, and if you disagree with feminism then you are against them. You have seen this for yourself, and you understand how stupid this is. Do you think this means we need to educate people who may potentially creep shame on the difference between assholery and awkwardness? In the same way that we educate people on consent and sexual harassment? It feels like if you have to teach men to respect subtlety, you should also do the same for women.

/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/16 11:14 AM

Thank you for stating this explicitly. I think that if more of the BP could see this, they'd understand /why/ men don't like creep shaming. Some of us have experiences or traits that are more likely to put us in the "awkward creep" category. Those who shove us into the "OMG he's a fucking physical threat!" just because we're awkward or emotionally scarred are bullies, plain and simple. They're doing it in part because they can get away with it, and often do.
