From what I understand getting a CS degree does open up a lot of job possibilities. Where I'm from there are many CS jobs, but perhaps where you live the opportunities are not as abundant. I think many software development companies will only consider applicants that have a degree, so it will be an uphill battle for you if you drop out (but not impossible). I suggest that you focus on finishing this semester first - study hard and assume that you'll be continuing your degree. When school ends fo…

Quick start guide: get into a comfortable position that allows you to remain alert. Examples are sitting cross legged or sitting in a chair focus all of your attention on the sensation of your breath passing in and out of nose. Don't follow the breath in and out, rather focus attention on one spot like the nostrils your goal is remain focused on this sensation as long as possible. If your mind wanders, acknowledge this and return attention to breath

Apparently there is another form of meditation called concentration meditation. I came across an AMA in /r/meditation in which the op describes how he used concentration meditation as a tool to gain great control over his mind and achieve an unthinkable amount of self improvement. He recommends concentration meditation over vipassana meditation. Definitely recommend checking out the AMA: http://www.reddit.com/r/Meditation/comments/1u9acp/ama_ive_been_doing_concentration_meditation/.compact

After thinking about this situation for a bit I've accepted that I'm not going to be with this girl again (at least not while keeping my self respect and dignity as per varrian's comment). Looking back on this point I made, I agree that this was some major hampstering...fuck

I think you're probably right. I dont know why this didnt occur to me before. I guess I have to adopt more of a dgaf attitude when it comes to these things

I think it's a good strategy to look at failure as a positive indicator that you're pushing yourself. It's easier said then done, but if I think if you adopt this mindset you will be less afraid to fail which ultimately leads to success. Big cities definitely give you more options in terms of beautiful girls. I think it'll be difficult to find another girl with beauty AND the other attributes I mentioned considering my current skill level, which is why I'm kind of bummed out. I'm confident that with time and dedication I'll eventually be able to do this with relative ease

Cut over stacked. Agreed. I follow a ketogenic diet (more specifically a targetted ketogenic diet) because I'm paranoid of gaining fat. That sounds impressive but I actually don't really know what I'm doing, just following basics learned from forums. Gains have been slow but I've remained really lean.

Getting in touch again after that much time is an interesting idea. I'm not sure how to do this without coming across as needy, but I'll think about it. Fortunately I've been dedicated to the gym for about a year before I discovered TRP. Due to shitty genetics and possibly not 100% knowing what I'm doing I'm not at the jacked stage - but I'm looking better than most guys and get complements now and then. Hopefully I'll reach jacked status in a year.

You're right. I think I'm just dreading the process of finding another girl of that quality. I don't spend much time approaching women so I felt like I won the lottery with this one.

That was my initial thought. But then I began thinking it would be prudent to stay linked with quality girls to keep the option of meeting up in the future open. This girl hasn't done anything to warrant a "next" other than reject me, which is understandable considering what happened. In time, she may change her mind, and then I'll have 1 more quality plate. What's there to lose?

The general red pill attitude towards friendship is that male friendships tend to be more fulfilling (less drama, more fun debates, less mindless yapping, more fun activities like sports, etc). That being said, if you come across a woman who you genuinely enjoy spending time with and who you're not pursuing, there's no reason not to be friends with her

If you're serious about building muscle I recommend joining a gym so you have access to more equipment like squat racks, dumbbells, dip bar, cables etc. This equiptment is crucial to building muscle and IMO you're wasting your time otherwise. If you want noticeable muscle growth you'll need to put a lot of time into training. Do yourself a favor and invest a lot of time researching the optimal way to train; measure twice cut once. Personally I follow the popular PHAT routine with a targetted ket…

The paleo diet has an unfortunate name because it makes it seem like it tries to completely mimick what our ancestors ate. From what I understand the paleo diet is constructed to be an optimal diet bases on research, and you won't hear recommendations to eat something simply because "our ancestors ate it". I think our ancestors ate tree bark but you don't hear the paleo crowd recommending that. The resulting diet looks similar to what our ancestors ate thus the name "paleo". If its true that our…
