Doesn't sound very STEM boys night out tbh except for the poker. But what do I know

Honestly the vibe here is you're jacking off to the idea of finances-and-career-shaming imaginary men. Strange kink.

Sounds like you'd both be winners in that scenario - he'd have rid himself of a girlfriend who values her travel experiences over him, and you'd have a nice holiday for yourself.

I can't find the stats on it but my gut feel is that a rather significant chunk of men 18-40 have had at least a year without any romantic encounters. Id guess 30%. More than a small subset at least
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/24 12:06 PM

You're missing something crucial. Think about it a bit.

Some of them, certainly. Hoover was a class-A weirdo.

What can I say, I guess the entirety of the sexual violence advocacy establishment is batshit too? Thank you for giving me some insight into this particular flavour of brainrot though. It's a somewhat alien culture to me, since most of the people I associate with are pretty normal.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/23 07:30 PM

Right. We agree that if you are forced into having sex, you have been raped. We do not agree however, that trying to convince someone to have sex with you, even after failing in the first attempt, is attempted rape. That's ... batshit, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/23 05:27 PM

If he tried to coerce you into having sex, sure. If, on the other hand, he keeps trying to convince you to have sex, that is possibly obnoxious, but not attempted rape.

Dictionary.com seems reasonable: "use of force or intimidation to obtain compliance".

/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/20 09:17 AM

How would you tell the difference? There are probably surveys out there that combine n count questions with sexual frequency questions. I'm off the mind that the not-wanting-to-be-a-slut drive is independent of sex drive.

The threshold of what men consider "disgusting" is low as hell because men are attracted to pussy. You're ignoring the ego boost, which is actually a big factor too. The chick might not be the hottest but if she's simping all over you, it still feels pretty good. Most women can be pretty charming if they want something from you. For women though, the ego boost of being hurt on by your typical charmless desperado is zero or negative.

Oh God you think we're role playing . you think I'm into you . Truly degenerate. Your very first reply to me was something to the effect of: A transparent fabulist too. What other psychiatric conditions do you feel like revealing today?

I've found that the various flavors of stupidity and venality are more equally distributed across the political spectra than I appreciated at first. The converse also. This is coming from an initially more red tinted perspective.

Id set up camp outside of the people who think like that minds in order to help them. That's a deeply disturbed thing to say, even in jest. The problem is not the world, the problem is you.

If you feel that them not wanting you in their club invalidates your existance, the problem is you, not them. Like I'm not allowed into a women's only yoga class. Don't want to be either. And if they didn't feel like me putting on a dress, or undergoing surgical or hormonal alterations, or feeling like a woman in my brain, or any such combination, could make them think of me as one of them, I'd go find another yoga class, rather than setting up camp outside and autistically screeching about what…

It's just a question of not taking things too far. Balance. It's a dynamic that applies to everything, for everybody, not some unresolvable paradox worth fretting neurotically over. Some poles terrible men more than women and e.g. assertive vs aggressive is probably more important for men to figure out young as the consequences are more likely to be immediate and physical in one direction, and losing social standing/being marked as somewhat cowardly in the other.

The woman in the meme is not someone who MIGHT light shit on fire, she has done it in the past. This is assumed knowledge to understand the humor behind the meme. The man in your scenario, is just a normal guy who's too young for his career to have taken off. It might never do so, but that depends on the womans foresight.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/20 12:49 AM
1

The difference is we KNOW she's a POS. Whereas women can use foresight to make good choices, options that will no longer be available to them, or scarcer at least, when the potential is realised. That's purely an argument from self interest.

She didn't help bake the pie. She fetched water and snacks for the chef while he baked the pie. Which is fine, I don't have a strong opinion on whether it justifiable in her case. But let's not pay pretend.

This is the whole game with toxic masculinity. On the one hand, feminists will wave it around to prove that they a) care about men's issues and b) have a workable solution to men's problems. On the other hand, a functional analysis will reveal that it is a concept deployed in the field, almost invariably, to blame men for their own problems and prescribe becoming more like women as the solution. Here, the change men need to make is to ask for help more often. Which implies we don't already have …

How do you just removing poor people from the equation?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/20 06:44 AM

I'm just suggesting that poverty, not the suboptimality of the match given the exigencies, might be the bigger contributor to their unhappiness. Also I imagine if your "story" is you're together because your parents chose such and such for you, you can make that work in your head as a script... and not so much, we're together because I needed to escape poverty. Which, the latter I've seen up close and personal, too.

Lol Stanton was not a rape slave FFS. You can't find writings by rape slaves because women did not consider themselves restore slaves simply because they're path in life was generally more constricted than than men. Though I'm sure plenty of men also felt socially constricted to making certain suboptimal choices too.

You want to exculpate the woman entirely, but her behaviour - leaving for a moment the question of how accurate it is to say "most" - in this situation is suboptimal. She is repeatedly engaging in behaviour that is upsetting for both parties, without ever questioning her approach. Something obviously isn't working, and continuing along that path will lead only to bitterness and resentment. I've seen it ruin otherwise pretty-solid relationships.

https://www.researchgate.net/publication/228296623_Child_Custody_Law_and_Women's_Work Susan Boyd. I know nothing about her, and very little about Canadian custody laws. It appears she was part of a somewhat successful effort by feminists to beat back joint custody laws in the early 2000s, whose advocates apparently took some inspiration from California.

The dude just graciously mansplained to you how some men who ARE paying are counted in the data you cited as NOT paying. And your response is Bottom line: not everyone is paying Uh, nooooo, honey, that's NOT the bottom line. /r/PurplePillDebate15/04/20 09:03 PM

Here is a quote I found from what seems to be a fairly prominant feminist legal scholar, written in 2003, which suggests very strongly that at least from the 1980 up to the early 2000s, the consensus among feminists was that fathers rights groups and their joint custody activism were the implacable enemy. And it makes sense if you consider that default joint custody takes power from women and gives it to men. Of course feminists are going to be against it. "During the nineteenth and early twenti…

Feminists lobbied for presumed joint custody You got a link? I know NOW in the US did the opposite. In general, I find feminists will grudgingly admit some unfairnesses exist, but beyond that just are not really interested in talking about it. They might go so far as to say, "Well go and fight for it then guy".

The purpose of the post is to point the entitlement that is present in the thought patterns of you're average "nice guy". Admirable actually nice guys exist; essentially worthless and dangerously embittered not-actually-all-that-nice guys exist. This is known. You are not secure enough in your hatred of men to dispense your wisdom without cack-handed pseudo-science bullllllshit. Sad. You're jumping to extremes here, and men admittedly dominate the extremes. But, the "man next to her" is probably, by definition, not an extreme case. It's a classic cognitive error to expend disproportionate mental energy on such emotionally arousing imagery. But it is far from reality, unless you live in a broken society.

I've only ever had women threaten suicide at me irl. Men just go and do it. The internet lacks the social feedback that discourages such behavior, but also the social feedback that discourages women from dunking on desperate losers irl.

No I don't think you got my point. Milf porn is popular among men because it's easier to play along with the fantasy you've managed to lay an older women. The second point was just to emphasize a straight mapping of porn scenario to actual real life preference isn't reliable. I need hardly mention that exceptions to the rule don't invalidate it's general applicability.

Johnny Depp is currently saying a 20 something Russian gogo dancer. And it was drugs and partying that have taken more of a toll than simple aging. Hollywood actor dudes with access to personal trainers, dieticians, anti aging therapies etc maintain their looks impressively well.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/20 12:52 PM

The Milf fetish is popular because it makes suspension of belief easier to achieve, not because men have a secret preference for older women. But women dearly dearly dearly want to believe otherwise, so obvious counterpoints like that escape them. I mean do you think hordes of of men secretly want to fuck their actual mothers and sisters too?

I’ve never thrown hands at a man, but I’ve felt that rage when I was being provoked to. Because he knew if I threw a fist, he could lift me up by my neck and put my head through a wall, or throw a punch hard enough to break my jaw. Or he could block my punch by grabbing my wrist or shoving me away. I would not be able to do the same to him. I wasn't really vomiting in my mouth. I feel bad for having said that. But although I've never been an asshole to gays for being gay... well probably only here or there as a dumb kid... I do experience that feeling of disgust at the ideas of dudes fucking, that I think is a large cause of the shit male gays get subjected to that women don't. I’m more concerned with everyone getting equitable rewards for their labor and value. That’s an issue that goes beyond gender for me. uuummm hmmm.

You’re right: bi men are vastly less celebrated and pornified than bi women He's talking about gay men vs gay women. they’re leaving some blackout orgasms I'm vomiting a little in my mouth.
