| – | This Sub really undervalues the importance of social skills and PersonalityI’ll go one further- the exposure creates more interactions, some of which will fail miserably, most of which will be neither success nor failure, and a few will be successful. The more you have these interactions, the less nervous you’ll be and the more you’ll be able to improve with each interaction (although it’s not necessarily linear- they’ll be ups and downs) | /r/PurplePillDebate | 23/05/24 07:15 PM |
| – | This Sub really undervalues the importance of social skills and PersonalityThat’s a good point. It’s often overlooked how you transfer from small talk to escalating. “Escalating” can mean lots of different things, and if you overdo it you’ll come off as creepy. If you under-do it, it could mean you don’t meet up with them with any certainty (something like “I guess I’ll see you at this bar again sometime, ok?!”) | /r/PurplePillDebate | 23/05/24 07:11 PM |
| – | This Sub really undervalues the importance of social skills and PersonalitySpeak for yourself. I have women knocking on my door all hours of the night, unprompted, simply because I exist with lots of personality in my home. /jk It’s like anything else- you have to interact with women in public settings and/or online, and you will fail more than succeed. Like baseball, if you only hit a small percentage of times, you’re considered successful, so you have to be able to mentally handle repeated failures (also an aspect of baseball) | /r/PurplePillDebate | 23/05/24 07:07 PM |
| 1 | CMV: At this point, this sub is the red pill lightI’d imagine it would take a lot of upkeep- like general small talk replies to the flood of DMs guys give you. If you don’t ever reply, a good portion are likely to walk because a various version of “she’s hot but won’t give me the time of day”. Guys join for the pictures but also the connection- fake though it may be. The replying alone to the DMs has to be tedious. Then there’s getting content to release every day, meeting specific requests, and of course, the random super graphic messages that… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/01/23 02:26 AM |
| 1 | [Q4All]How large is the average woman’s social network?Chad #4 is on fan duty, with a comically large palm leaf fanning back and forth? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 20/01/23 03:22 PM |
| 1 | [Q4All]How large is the average woman’s social network?I’m going to first echo what other replies have said in that women def don’t have 100 close friends but instead a handful at most of very close friends, whereas guys have more friends/acquaintances but the bond isn’t nearly as strong. With the group of women, though, each individual relationship takes more time to maintain because there’s always, constantly, some sort of drama the group is dealing with, be it from spouses/bfs of the group members or conflicts between the group members themselves… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 20/01/23 03:19 PM |
| 2 | The less physically attractive a man is, the better they have to beI used to be of the mindset that “I just need to stay exactly the same- be myself!- and I’m bound to eventually find a woman who likes me for me.” This sounds noble and good and all that…but I’ve found it’s not the best way to think about things. Be yourself, but be the best version of yourself, doing all those things you mentioned. In the end, I think your “attractiveness”, for lack of a better term, is a cumulative score that encompasses several areas: financial, social standing (do you have l… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 20/01/23 02:32 AM |
| 6 | Has the cognitive dissonance and gaslighting of women towards men, completely taken over this sub?I think you’re not giving enough credit to men of average/slightly below average looks matching with women of average/slightly below average looks themselves, which does happen and happens frequently. I don’t want to be the “just lower your standards” guy but there are options for men who aren’t in that top 20 percent of looks, and many of them find partners via the app. It may take a long time and a lot of rejections/being ignored but it happens. 50 percent of all relationships are begun via da… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 20/01/23 02:20 AM |
| 1 | Not tonight honey…The various marriage forums are full of women saying essentially the same thing: “my husband is a lazy slob who sits on the couch all day playing video games and never does any chores whatsoever. How do I get him to change?!” And when a guy is asking something like “how do I get my wife to have sex with me more?” there’s almost always a stated or implied “it’s because you’re a lazy slob of a man child! She’s touched out and exhausted!” A few wives will chip in with “choreplay is real! Do the dis… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 19/01/23 04:03 PM |
| 2 | Being confident, but unattractive, will get a man called creepyI think it is beneficial from a guy’s point of view to not let rejection bother you and try to view it as objectively as possible. However, if she’s rude to you in rejection, it’s not a license for you to be rude back to her (I don’t think this is necessarily gender specific but two wrongs don’t make a right). Im still old school in that I prescribe to the various tenets of “trying to be a gentleman”. I think the fine line of being aggressive or being perceived as “creepy” can be tough. | 13 | Women ghost after sex just as often as menIn addition to this, maybe it’s as simple as “she’s not that into you”. Like, yeah, she had a good time and everything, and if you were really tickling her long term fancy, she’d probably see you again, but if you’re just so so, she’ll just decide to move on. The quality of the sex alone doesn’t necessarily mean she won’t ghost. Maybe she went into things with the attitude of “we’ll see how it goes” and it wasn’t bad, but she’s not interested enough to continue. The truth is, you’ll likely never… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 19/01/23 03:33 PM |
| 2 | “Why are men in Crisis?” discussed on Bill MaherI think affirmative action has its own issues, positives and negatives, and stands on its own as a topic. Affirmative action probably plays a role in the OP’s topic of men at large, and the perception (real or imagined) of affirmative action can add to that feeling that “you’re just a boring average white dude, nobody cares at all about you anymore”. This has political implications as well as societal, but is just one topic under the umbrella of men’s frustrations being discussed. I guess to put… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/09/22 02:07 PM |
| 5 | “Why are men in Crisis?” discussed on Bill MaherI agree with this assessment. I spent 5 years as an elementary school teacher, and the support from home matters a LOT. The hard part is, and I mentioned this in another reply, we as a society can’t mandate parents to help kids with their homework, be involved, be good role models, etc. Those are all intangible things parents SHOULD be doing, but society can’t MAKE them do that. A lot of parents have legitimate reasons why they aren’t as involved as they’d like to be- maybe they’re working 60 ho… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/09/22 01:48 PM |
| – | “Why are men in Crisis?” discussed on Bill MaherI want to point out that my viewpoint isn’t “guys are entitled to women” at all, which is how some women view it. Basically just some acknowledgment of the frustration would be a starting point. I definitely wouldn’t have wanted a “pity relationship”, where a woman feels obligated to be with me, and I don’t think the vast majority of guys would be ok with that either. The guys cited in that thread are the stereotypical “lazy, stupid, unmotivated, unhygienic man-child” and that’s a horrible stere… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/09/22 12:11 AM |
| – | “Why are men in Crisis?” discussed on Bill MaherI’ve long joked that “if men didn’t have women motivating them, we’d all still be cavemen, poking each other with pointy sticks.” From the time you hit puberty, it’s definitely a driving factor in your life. How it’s channeled is really important- obviously we don’t want guys like Harvey Weinstein just completely violating women, and we also don’t want the incel types spreading hateful garbage. There are a lot of responses in this sub saying “well, guys just need to learn to seek validation else… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/09/22 06:44 PM |
| – | “Why are men in Crisis?” discussed on Bill MaherProbably competition and encouragement of your friends. We’ve all heard the “ah man, women suck” lament of one of our male friends, and you basically just say something to the effect of “yeah, I know it, but you’ve got to be on top of your game” about life in general. Somehow trying to diffuse the entitlement of “I deserve a good job/girlfriend/etc” while also acknowledging their concerns are valid. | – | “Why are men in Crisis?” discussed on Bill MaherI have a friend who is exactly this. He’s in his mid 30s with a college degree and has never worked full time and never lived by himself (college excluded). His parents gave him an “ultimatum” right before Covid hit- they were scheduled to move in a few months and he would not be moving with them. It was an attempt at tough love, finally. | 2 | “Why are men in Crisis?” discussed on Bill MaherI think there’s value for the 5-3 manlet dad being around, even with the subpar genetics. There’s obviously financial benefits for a two parent household- this is assuming the mom doesn’t make 6 figures, which statistically is the vast majority of America. As long as the dad isn’t a negative influence, he needs to be there. The problem is, this has become almost a pseudo-racist criticism towards the black community, and when it isn’t, it’s basically a catch-all, wedonthavetodoanythingelse critiq… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/09/22 05:18 PM |
| – | “Why are men in Crisis?” discussed on Bill MaherI just looked at the opposite perspective of this issue on r/twochromosomes . (Women). Their perspective was summed up as basically “Guys don’t even try and they paint themselves as the victim.”….it kind of made me shake my head. Historically, yes, it’s been a male-centric society and still is in many aspects that need further diversity improvement, such as CEOs being overwhelmingly male. However, if you’re looking at the dating and social spheres only, I think the Maher clip is spot on. I’m mar… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/09/22 05:07 PM |
| 1 | Married red pillThanks for sharing your experiences, I’m married with a woman who has stopped caring about her personal upkeep (gained a lot of weight, thinks she’s keeping tabs on it by “counting calories” but she’s really not.) we’ve also grown quite a bit apart, which is not-unrelated. (Ie, I’m not particularly attracted to her right now so there’s not a strong urge to get closer to her, which leads to more growing apart). | 4 | The RP/Manosphere is making the Beta Bucks an endangered species and many women are going to be screwed.I think making money successfully, for either gender, is a lot harder than you think. It’s not as simple as “if they cared about money-they would make it themselves”. Making money is hard. Even if you go the “trophy wife” route, getting that physical look takes time and resources (clothing, cosmetics, access to venues to meet wealthy men, etc). There’s also a million unwritten rules. | 8 | The RP/Manosphere is making the Beta Bucks an endangered species and many women are going to be screwed. There are plenty of women around that are undesirable. By their own admission, they’re often “invisible”- and not just in dating contexts. Think about all those studies where people in service industries offer better service to attractive people. Overweight women are everywhere and you may not even notice them. Most of this sub, despite what they claim “I’ll accept anybody” etc- are desiring the same relatively small subset of women. | 5 | Your Personality is NOT the problem women here are making it to beI’ll give you a specific skill- “being a good listener”-this is an attribute women like in a potential partner-seriously- BUT if you come on too strong, are too available, come off as desperate, etc, you can be a good listener and she can talk to you all the time yet you still get friendzoned. There’s something else you’re not doing to take the relationship to the next level, whether that’s physically or socially or other personality aspects. | 1 | Why is it that women's clothing has gotten more and more revealing and sexualized as society got more and more progressive?Giant pants, pants basically over their belly button with as much fabric as a circus tent, are popular now, along with super baggy dresses. I think things have gone the opposite way in the last 10-15 years. Also don’t underestimate the fact that women dress however they do to please other women, not necessarily men. I think it’s generally how styles work. This is anecdotal but I’ve heard numerous guys of all ages say how much they hate the aforementioned high waisted jeans, but women like them f… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/07/22 07:08 PM |
| 2 | What issues do you actually feel for women about? It’s also conceivable if not likely the woman will have built up various social contacts of peers who could be potential partners (I.e, men at the country club, church, some other institution of likeminded well heeled individuals). A cost not mentioned so far for the man is the social cost- if you have kids and leave their mom for a much younger woman, there is no way those kids won’t be pissed off at you, perhaps forever. There’s also a social stigma you might face from others. This part is all… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 27/07/22 08:56 PM |
| 1 | Jealousy drives much of the resentment displayed hereI think the phrase “settling” could be apt here. Most single guys COULD date a woman who is seen as unattractive, not particularly interesting if not annoying, also phrased as a “low value” woman in roughly Red Pill language. The issue is, these guys perceive themselves to be higher value than they actually are, and/or they don’t want to “settle”, which, they have a point but some realistic viewpoint is needed. | 1 | Assholes and Hypergamy: Women prefer assholes and create their dating problemsI don’t think it’s the toxicity alone that wins out. The guy has to offer something else. If he’s a 5’5 hobbit who is poor and treats the woman like shit, I don’t think he will get anywhere. It’s kind of an offshoot of the phrase “it’s only “creepy” when ugly guys do it.” The same message delivered by 2 different people will vary in how it’s received, even if the content and delivery of that message is different. It’s also phrased as “the medium is the message.” A toxic guy would have to have so… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 27/07/22 06:13 PM |

| 17 | Have you ever been on a date with a girl only to find out later she had a boyfriend? How did it make you feel? It’s happened to me with married women before. It’s a giant red flag imo- so many risks. What if the husband shows up when you’re hanging out? What if he plasters it all over social media? Plus there’s the moral implications- is it right? Marriage is obv the next level but I felt a mix of disgusted that she’d do this and also complimented in a weird way. | 4 | Sexual strategy for the 9s and 10s.See, I believe that to an extent, when it comes to guys in a bar of comparable age, but like was said earlier, since they were 14 y/o, 9-10s have been hit on by random creepsters of all ages continuously in public. | 2 | What's the real definition of Disqualification? We have all made a joke that fell flat. Whatever you do, don’t keep bringing it up. Just try to learn from it and move on. Bringing it up again just has way too much insecurity. I’d maybe play it straight for a while with just some subtle jokes. It can be tough, if a girl is lukewarm to jokes, but if she’s engaging with general conversation, use that going forward. | /r/seduction | 27/12/17 12:00 PM |
| 1 | How do you gauge quality over quantity?I like the latter choice. The number can vary, and it’s always good to learn from each one and gain more confidence from the next one. I also tried to work on normal conversations with general people in public settings, even if it’s only a line or two. For example, I’d say a quick comment about something in someone’s grocery cart and have a couple lines back and forth of small talk and that would be it. Texting can be tricky- some guys say to only use it to set up face to face meetings, but I think it’s important to use it for conversations to raise attraction. I’d ask her what she’s up to and play off that. You can also just say what you’re doing and include some kind of joke. Some girls will respond back with other comments and questions and some won’t. | 1 | College specific game? That’s a tough one- ive never had much success with the “hang out with large group” angle because you never quite know where you stand. I’ve had more Success with online dating apps and one on one conversations that sometimes lead to more, sometimes not, but at least you know where you stand. Do you have roommates? Kids? Blah blah.) | /r/seduction | 04/12/17 12:47 AM |
| 1 | How do I go about building a social life for myself when I live somewhere I barely speak the language. Is it an option to rent/borrow/stream movies and watch them in French with English subtitles? This may be a way to learn some phrases and context of when words should be used. Communicating in either written or oral language is key when it comes to meeting women, so this should really be your first and main focus. | /r/seduction | 04/12/17 12:44 AM |
| 0 | Girls are attracted (I guess to my looks at first), but it fades quicklyYeah this may not be what you want to hear but living with the parents AND not having a car (unless you live in Manhattan or downtown in a huge city) is a killer when it comes to attracting women, no matter how much you use Zipcar. I even noticed my luck went up when I moved from an apartment to a house- women are attracted to independent and strong men. Having your own place is key when it comes to getting women from a date or bar setting to potentially more. Once women find out you live at hom… | /r/seduction | 04/12/17 12:40 AM |
| 1 | Is it wise to hit on my Teachers assistant, who I’m pretty sure has been checking me out all semester, during her office hours? I want to make an “exchange” for helping my final gradeShort answer: no. Risk of backfiring too large. Odds are, she’s not into you. After you’re done with the class, then try if you want. | /r/seduction | 30/11/17 02:03 AM |
| 2 | Accidentally told her that "I had a million thoughts" when I saw her. She's asking like what? How do I respond to this without spilling my guts out to her?Yeah that’s tough. First thing: make sure you don’t text too often in general. I think this was my downfall many times. If you haven’t responded already, just be like “Yeah I was just thinking what I could say, the last time I talked to a random girl I got maced and my tires slashed, so I didn’t want to do that again, so we are already off on a better note than that.” Make sure you joke with her a lot so she knows to expect this kind of thing. Try to not alllllways ask a question to respond to e… | /r/seduction | 30/11/17 02:02 AM |
| 2 | Approached for the first time in a long timeHey I read that and thought “hey, this is a pretty solid plan”. It’s def a numbers game- most approaches will fail. It’s important that if/when the boyfriend line comes out, do exactly what you did, a graceful exit. “Hey that’s cool, enjoy the rest of your day” is perfect. It’s great you found something to talk about (the jacket). Def a solid experience that should help your confidence going forward. | /r/seduction | 30/11/17 01:56 AM |
| 3 | Pussied outThis can be tough- you have to have enough desire to make some kind of a move but if you hype yourself up about it you will get nervous and fail. The absolute worst part is the first contact. I’d just sit close enough to be able to talk to her and make some joke about the class, the assignment, the prof, something. Then start with “how’s your day been so far?” Ask her what her name is, and away you go. Don’t lay on the Don Juan just yet- Id sit by her a couple times, then ask for her number or a… | /r/seduction | 30/11/17 01:52 AM |
| 4 | Talk to EveryoneYou may never see them again- but what it did do is help your confidence. You held a conversation, got some good feedback. It’s important to not look at every opportunity as “oh I want to get her number.” And just take it at face value- nice conversation. Maybe one of them will say something interesting you can use in conversation with a girl later, who knows? Also, props for going someplace solo. That really helped my confidence- and gave me something to do rather than sit at home. | /r/seduction | 29/11/17 02:33 AM |
