I have to agree, this was overt reciprocal flirting, and the events and dialogues that followed this only confirm it. She knew he was interested, it's 2021, a grown woman by this point is more than aware a single hetero male giving them validation and attention is trying to qualify himself to her for her intimacy and she enjoys the attention. When I'm happy and turned on I'm affectionate; like you I'm very affectionate by nature, however after years of experience, reading, and improvements, I will go out of my way to be withdrawn and indifferent if anything should come up with a chick that in my mind is a turn off/annoying.
