Really, most of my immediate friends, and even my family, pretty much took my ex's accusations as truth and refused to have anything to do with me. Right now, I've just got my buddy who is letting me stay with him. I've been making enough in the past three weeks to start giving him some rent.

I can't contact my kids right now since I have no visitation, and I believe the order of protection is still in effect against me. I have to stay away for the foreseeable future. Early in my career I did some UI development, but for most of it I was primarily a back end programmer, as well as a lot of database work. Primarily focused on requirements and high level design these past few years, and analytics work on the reporting side.

For right now, I'm not going anywhere near the state I was in, or contact anyone involved to avoid the potential of crossing paths. I am currently blocked from visitation of any kind. I believe there is still an order of protection in effect against me. I was not indicted by the DA, but I know they are out to get me, so not going into that jurisdiction under any circumstances for the time being.

I think you're right. I wouldn't consider trying to fight until I had resources to fight, but I would have to ask, after building all that up would it be worth it to lose all that fighting and then end up in the same spot. I'm torn, but I'm not a young man anymore. I don't know if I have it in me to fight to get to the point just to be able to fight. It's a lot to think about.

Already had a lawyer, but got dropped when retainer ran out. Right now, any legal fight would be appeals and requests for modifications of support, but I'd have to pop my head up to do that. I'm staying ghost until I have some resources to potentially fight, and will make my decision at that point if it would even be worth it. Really it won't be horribly long until my kids are adults. Well, I wasn't going to pop my head up anytime soon. I'm trying to decide if I will build up resources to fight back legally, to try to see my kids again, or just call it a loss and stay gone. Basically I would have to put in years to try to build up enough money for the lawyers to fight this thing, and I would also have to be caught up on back support to start the fight. If you are going through a divorce, if your attorney tells you to stay in the house, don't do it and perhaps find a new lawyer. My staying in the house is what set me up for the false accusation. Maybe you could avoid it with 100% of the time audio and video recording, but better to not be there.

I was able to get some day labor from a really cool guy who is letting me stay on his couch, and then Thursday I have an old friend coming that is getting me out of here. So I'm making a little cash right now, and my friend is going to let me stay with him. I have to hold out until Thursday, but I used Craigslist to put out for day labor or whatever jobs I could get and I actually got put up on a guys couch while I help clear his property of shrubs, english ivy, and other stuff. So I have a temperature controlled place to stay, a warm shower, out of sight, and will get some cash, so great development for me right now!

As pike91 wrote, and I can see the confusion, this was not rental property or real estate being sold while I was in custody. It was my clothes, gear, vehicle, and pretty much everything else.
