You realize that he was a user on PUAhate? He was very obviously aware of manoshpherian/redpill ideology, he just either didn't implement the advice and only bought into the ideology or the advice failed him altogether. Or both. In either case, the ideology definitely did contribute to his toxic worldview.

Nah, TBP is not formally associated with the fempire beyond having a few SRS mods (as well as a few antiSRS mods) and several regulars who are also SRSters. There are plenty of folks in TBP who don't post in the fempire, and several in fact who post in TiA. And seeing as how you're on a subreddit dedicated to discussing the various pill subs, there are going to be people here who have posted in TBP so your autotaggers are pretty meaningless as far as SRSters go.

I think loki was saying that that reality is unlikely to change for socially awkward folks no matter how much progress we make on the gender front because people on both sides of that fence just aren't willing to pursue. I think she has a really good point and I really don't see any way around that unless outgoing people start going for socially reserved people rather than other outgoing people...which probably wouldn't work out for either in the long run.

I don't feel comfortable with the tone of the top thread in the sub either, but you'll notice that below that thread all of the posts were expressing sympathy and trying to help. The top thread was posted before any of us realized the extent of abuse that's potentially happening with this person. I'm not excusing it, but as people dug more through her post history the tone of the thread definitely did change.

Or maybe because this person has been raised in what sounds like a severely abusive situation, and has very possibly been exploited and brainwashed by a cult since her birth, and based on that post was literally bought as a slave possibly as a child. Well TBP doesn't have obligation to help these men who choose to buy into TRP's worldview (even though several blue pillers do try). There are a myriad of alternatives without the hateful worldview of TRP, and really it comes down to the person themselves to explore those alternatives.

Okay, I accept that men on average may have a more difficult time having platonic friendships with women, though I don't think that sexual attraction necessarily means that one is unable to have a platonic relationship. I think you were arguing with the same guy Sperm and I were. Embarrassingly, he bought up the concept of the null hypothesis which I think he got from me. I'm not entirely sure if I used the concept quite correctly in my argument with him either (though I think I did). I know it's a crucial concept in analyzing social science which is why I bought it up, and I've also seen it used in discussions regarding whether or not different races have innate differences in intelligence.
