The cultural revolution came about at the time of the Vietnam War - in other words, daddy was gone and either died in combat or came back with a frame neutered by PTSD. Well the one hobby I had managed to pick up - growing up with restricting parents - was exotic animal keeping. I had/have a reputation as being akin to a Dr. Dolittle or some shit.
