They used a software that essentially went through each of the threads in the subreddit and pulled the usernames of people who have commented in the subreddit, and compiled it all into a list.

The users over at Circlebroke don't like the MensRights subreddit, so they used a software to mass-tag all of the users who affiliate themselves with it, as well as other subreddits they don't like, in order to (I'm assuming) mass-downvote everyone in the subreddit and essentially censor them and shut down the subreddits.
