You were acting like I lied about what you had said, and I was trying to understand how what I said was a lie in any way. Paraphrasing is not a lie. I had no desire to speak to you any further. I made this discussion post because I was genuinely interested in a discussion about male vs female contributions to a relationship from a red pill perspective. I did not even mention your username in my post, nor did I say anything negative about you. I said your post sparked an interesting train of thou…

You are making no sense. You are insulting me over the fact that I paraphrased your comment. I have no idea how stalking is relevant in any way? I am deleting this post because you've derailed it.

You have not clarified in what way I have lied about what you said, other than the fact that I paraphrased the term "not true at all" to "completely incorrect".

You stated that my comment was "not true at all" and "not red pill at all". I paraphrased and used the term "incorrect" instead of "not true"... is that where you are taking offence? I can edit the post to change that term if you'd like. To me they are synonymous. If that's not what you're taking issue with, please explain to me what it is then. I'm more than willing to correct it.

Hi again. We've already established that we disagree on this subject, so I wanted to hear some discussion from others. I appreciate your comment, though; it's good for everyone else to have the context of the discussion! I never, ever said that. Yes you did. As per your screenshot, you said the following (added emphasis to outline precisely where you said it): "Now you are clearly just saying nonsense that is obviously not true at all. Remember earlier when I gave you a reason why I wasn't respo…

Yikes. That's a tough spot to be in. It sounds like he is quite selfish and views your emotions as unimportant/irrelevant. I honestly think you need to push for couples' therapy, or perhaps just individual therapy for him. He needs to learn how to value the emotions of others, and also how to communicate effectively within a marriage. It's not acceptable for him to immediately shut down every conversation and dismiss your feelings. He needs to work together with you to reach a solution that make…

If every single person commenting has missed your point, then it stands to reason that you failed to properly communicate it.

Would you mind elaborating further, then? Your extremely brief comments give no insight whatsoever in what your point is.

The thing about the "Nice Guys" trope is that they are actually not nice at all; only feigning kindness and feeling they are "owed" a sexual relationship in return. It also refers to guys that are total doormats and can't seem to pick up on the fact (even when told directly) that a woman is not at all interested in them, yet they keep bending over backwards to be a "nice guy" to her, all while whining that "nice guys finish last". They believe that simply being nice and nothing else is enough fo…

I completely agree. Quite literally 100% of male/female friendships I have been apart of and the ones I've witnessed via mutual friends ended when one or both individuals developed feelings. (excluding those where one is gay obviously) For the most part I really don't think it's possible for a straight man and woman to maintain any level of close friendship and have it be entirely platonic forever. I'm sure there are some really rare exceptions. From what I've seen, people in their teens/early 2…

Oh wow I never made that connection! Haha. I started using this username ages ago. My cat is named Guppy but that name is often taken. So I envisioned her as a pirate and tacked on "captain" to the front. Totally spaced on the RPW correlation :P

What you're describing sounds horribly similar to what I went through when I experienced a very deep depression. I honestly never would've guessed that a mental illness could so drastically alter what PHYSICAL sensations I experience, but it really did. I wouldn't be surprised if you were dealing with PPD, or depression related to your body image, or perhaps a combination of both. It may not be the case, but it's definitely worth looking into just in case. Whatever it ends up being, I wish you t…

OP, PLEASE carefully review every single word of this comment. Such a perfect analysis of the situation; tons of spot-on insight into how awful he is. I know you may read a comment like this and think, "No no no, my man isn't a horrible toxic manipulator, I must have just portrayed the situation wrong... he loves me, he's a good person, there's just this one small issue we need to work through" but that line of thinking is the result of what is essentially brainwashing that he has put you throug…

I love this comment! As someone who suffered through a similarly horrible relationship as OP's for five years before realizing how incredibly far off from a functional relationship it was... it's crazy how we can talk ourselves into truly believing it's just "this one issue". When you don't know what a truly healthy, happy relationship looks like, we can convince ourselves that even the most absurd and horrible things can be fixed. I truly hope OP will listen to everyone here and leave him. Leav…

Girl, you deserve SO much better than this loser. Please believe me when I say it has NOTHING to do with you. It's not about how pretty you are, how good of a girlfriend you are, how worthy you are of love, none of that. Even the most beautiful, kind, amazing woman in the entire world wouldn't be "good enough" to stop a man like this from cheating, because they are severely insecure and simply not fit for a relationship. Actions speak louder than words. He has SHOWN you time and time again that …

Thank you for this. Your comment made me have a major lightbulb moment here! Sometimes when I wake up and wander downstairs I'll randomly clean a dish and then it snowballs into me doing all the chores I could ever possibly need to do that day, and I feel productive and happy. Other days I sit down on the couch first and never end up getting anything done, or only doing what is absolutely necessary. And then I feel down and overwhelmed when I think about how much I neglected to do. I think your …
