The purpose of a prenup is to protect your assets. This is not where you want to cheap out. Prenups are getting tossed more and more, so you need an experienced attorney. You said your current assets are $75k, but what about your future income? You need to protect that too. If you can't spend $5k to save your current assets plus future earnings, then you deserve to lose it. Plus why do you have to get married? What's the benefit to you?

There are some good single mothers out there. Just like there are some winning lotto tickets out there, but who's willing to bet the farm that the lotto ticket they bought is a winner????

Apparently women are just learning that retail jobs don't pay for shit.

Exactly, no more "gifts" that require you to pay an 18 year annuity.

I agree, why should he spend his resources when the first guy didn't? Yes, how selfish to want to keep what you worked for. Damn you for not going to grad school just so you could blow all your money on some single mother with 3 kids and 3 different fathers. I suppose you want to retire early instead of working until you die to pay for someone else's kids, how dare you make that choice.

Good points. Plus he said he's in his 20s and has been in this relationship for 3yrs, so he's probably only had a couple adult relationships to base his opinion off of. Hopefully he can recognize the trend and not just blow it off and think everyone else has issues, but not him.

Exactly, I mean really the only ones against this are those with something to hide.

Not all women are bad, just like not all hand grenades will explode when you pull the pin. The problem is in both cases by the time you find out which one you have, it's usually too late.

Sperm are like blank checks to our bank accounts. If you don't believe me then just Google "sperm donor forced to pay child support". The family court system is not a fun place to be if you are a man.

Not a bad idea. And let's face it, foreign women are WAY better than our AmeriSkanks.

It's always the guys who try to do the right thing that get screwed. I'd also bet that once she was locked in financially (had the child), everything changed for the worse.

$11 an hour is a deadbeat. His daughter will grow up listening to her mother tell her how bad her father and men in general are.

That would be awesome to have a man pull the old birth control dupe for a change. "I don't know what's wrong honey" Or better yet then she comes up pregnant (BUSTED!!) and you get to play along until it's too late to abort and then say "Ohhhh, by the way.....I'm sterile and you're a whore. Good day madam."

Actually it is only the man that gets punished since the woman has choices. While it is possible to have an unplanned pregnancy, nobody has an unplanned baby.

I had to break open a history book to look up all those names. For a moment I thought I had fell through the hot tub time machine.

Women can also put the child up for adoption or drop the kid off at a fire station.

That's why I like Doug Stanhope, he drinks on stage. Liquid comedy.

Yes, why settle for an attractive woman with no kids when you can have a single mother?

Agreed, broke men have no choice.

We enable bad behavior through the court systems, both civil and criminal. People will go as far as you let them, right now women can act however they want and the courts will back them up. Until that changes I doubt women will change.

Whatever happened to good old fashion drinking and blogging? Where's the group for those of us who like booze and call girls? (not always in that order)

Dr Phil is pulling a Tyler Perry or a Sarah Palin. Meaning he's simply pandering to his base.

But of course the guy who makes good choices is supposed to just open his heart (wallet) and live with her mess. And I hate to say this....but I think I'm with you on the cat lady.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
