-1	The entire Internet is complaining about how horrific it was to watch/hear a c-section on House of the Dragon. Not one word is mentioned about the man getting his head brutally beaten to a gooey pulp moments before. This actually infuriates me. Honestly, I think it's because violent death was expected on this show, it happened hundreds of time in GoT. It exists but it's less than 2% once adjusted per job, and that remaining 2% is very easily explained when you consider that an employer perceives that a woman will choose to have a family (eventually) which includes calculations for maternal leave and the perception that she will choose her family over her career whereas men are more prone to keep bringing home the bacon over all else. The actual wage gap when adjusted per career field is about 1.7 cents, and that gap is largely attributable to perceptions of how much women will be able to commit to the workplace versus how much men will be able to contribute; i.e. women being more devoted to child-rearing, etc. Another factor is that women simply pursue higher pay less aggressively than men.
