It is quite lopsided. Did you see the bit where Zizek advances the notion that the folks on the "factory floor" would switch positions with management every other week or so. It is a nice sentiment but would be a disaster. You can see Peterson is done taking him seriously and is just being polite afterwards. Its not as cringe as the panel with the Dyson fellow. That one is truly embarassing. I had trouble just getting through it. That one reminds me of the saying about why one shouldn't play che…

in the debate with Zizek my takeaway was that some of Zizeks ideas were so incredibly vapid and lacking in understanding that Peterson was at a loss.

Remember, you are talking to children. Half of whom have never seen a penis except in porn.

Having been falsely accused myself and also being the victim of actual sexual harrasment, I understand the impact of an allegation like this and the terrible consequences for the accused. The issue is: to give the person the chance to defend themselves before smearing them in public. These things cannot be taken back. The right way to deal with this is to go to the police or the proper authority before you ruin their reputation.

Try the classics to start. Heraclitus is a good starting point. He had no particular agenda. I have read two of those you mentioned. They were more about proving a point than exploring truth. I don't concern myself with what sad, egoistic people think. But you seem to have a good mind. Try to find the middle path.

Subjective truth as in I loved my mother. I can't prove it. Objective truth comes from common observation of facts. I suggest you read some books.

There is such a thing as subjective truth. But it is none of my business to force that on another. Objective, evidentiary truth was the point of my comment. Conflation of the two is illogical.

It is logically impossible to prove a negative. This is why civilised people require evidence of having actually commited the crime.

Good luck keeping the lights and water on without pipefitters and electricians (90+% males). But if I looked like that I'd WANT THE LIGHTS OFF TOO.

Do not provoke or respond. Make eye contact, stand your ground and don't waver. Bullies are cowards. Always. Carrying heat doesn't hurt. ,

Look into mindfulness practice for the anguish. It helps. It really does. As far as the rest of the world, it is beyond your control.

I'm sure there are several attys that will do this pro bono. Anyone with a lick of sense can see it's wrong. Draft an email asking for help. Send it to a bunch of law offices. Same with letter. You'll get help. Lawyers most particularly hate this kind of Bullshit. Good luck, get busy, get help, fight back, file suit. Get attention. Raise hell man.

It makes about as much sense as cutting off the end of your thumb. I am still pissed at my mom about it and she's been dead for years.
