A redditor in a previous thread put it best 'The spray 'n pray approach ruins it for everyone. Women have their time wasted and guys waste their visibility on matches they don't actually want. Meanwhile it messes up every guy's visibility because they're competing for a place in a woman's queue with men who don't even want to be there.'

They may find young women attractive, want to have sex with them too but most prefer not to date them.... unless they're a stereotypical old wealthy guy with nothing to lose. Why? When you reach a certain age you realise that looks don't matter that much. 'Older' people want someone with a similar established lifestyle, things in common, and 'maturity' (psychologically speaking). The way we experience love is also different as we age too and a young chick and an older guy usually don't mesh well…

It depends on where you live. In my city there's a lot of nice, single men and my friends dont have many issues as some people would lead you to believe. If you live out in a rural area or small town then it would be more difficult as most people would have settled or have children

Only a red flag if they are a virgin and have very little/no dating experience. Maybe mid-twenties

Women say they want a man who leads then raise compliant doormats Children learn from both parents, from watching how they communicate with each other. Also, it's unhealthy to have the inability to express your wants, need, or own opinions in any relationship.

I mostly agree with this. I once dated a guy like this, highly agreeable, and lacked assertiveness - to avoid 'confrontation'. He wanted me to have the final say on most decisions and he would agree with any opinion I'd have. When I brought this up with him, he said that how interacted with me was mostly likely due to how he interacted with his mother. I'd also like to point out that a woman tends to lose respect for a man who is a doormat/pushover because he is essentially disrespecting himself…

Nothing to do with attraction. I want to get to know them more and also be sure that they also are looking for something serious too. A lot of women learn the hard way in their late teens/early 20s that having sex right away doesn't always mean a guy is interested in you romantically.

I look at their face and sometimes the whole picture but I don't oggle at anything in particular. I just glance and if they notice I'll give them a smile and go about my business as usual as I do with most people I make eye contact with.

Thanks! I've read some experiences from men that after some time away from porn completely they've gone back to vanilla videos (and of course enjoying sex with partners if they have one). Although some others just abstain from porn completely.I haven't read any research on this though so purely anecdotal

That's a possibility! Like experiencing emotions with their sex partner could play a role or their general expectations of sex in general

I personally have never met anyone who’s addicted to porn. The majority of men I know seem to watch vanilla, amateur porn and find it doesn’t affect their sex life. I believe this is because some people are more prone to addiction to others, or have already had an invested sex life prior to watching porn (less likely to get sucked into it or watching the extreme genres)

To put it bluntly- Porn is unrealistic, from the angles of the videos, the acts etc. Some people also start with basic, vanilla porn and then develop new fetishes or like to watch other specific videos. Porn can change the way the brain reacts to arousal, making a man less likely to feel aroused by a real-life partner

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
