Real good point. I have tried to remove 'just' from my vocabulary. It's an anaesthetic word, as Don Watson would describe. My peeve is 'If you could just...'...'that would be great.' I work in a technical field which is split nearly 50/50 males to females. The female university students who come for practical experience respond positively to decisive instruction. All students respond to positive reinforcement. For one rotation my boss's deputy asked me to keep a close eye on the students and act…

Yes. Roissy had a theory that said HR women do the beta employee policing (eg. coming down hard on anything deemed to be harassment) while protecting the Alpha Upper Management from lawsuits.

ideal Excellent, I had a long time on the road to think about a 'Real Chicks Drive Utes' ('Ute' is short for 'utility', like a pickup truck if you're American) sticker I saw today. The word 'real' only means 'my kind of ideal'

If you look at the situation objectively, as any educator should, she failed her class miserably and continues to do so. Hit the ball out of the park.

You're very insightful. Can you tell me who you imagine would be the kind of people who would make this decision?

Hers was such a side-step response. So I kept at it: 'Thank you for your reply. The aggressor in the video has since been arrested. If you thought the scene was a scripted dramatisation, may I ask you under what circumstances might a female character in a movie be justified in visiting fake violence upon a male character? Can you give me some examples of situations in which a male deserves it?'

She replied: 'Hi there.. apologies.. didn't think it was real.. thought they were making some kind of film. Nat.'

N. Barr, In regards to the Hong Kong video, I'm interested in your apparent ability to determine at a glance the probability of whether intersex violence is justified or not. I would wish to tell you that this is a hotly contested debate, but I'm afraid to say that it is not: The vast majority of the civilised world is of the sound opinion that there is no excuse for domestic violence. No excuse means no justification. Regardless of whether you thought the video was fake or real, can you please …

Sure, you might be called a dick or a rape apologist. Who cares? Ask them, and if they avoid the question then they probably have something to hide. Perhaps say 'Hi --poster distributors--, I have reviewed much literature on the prevalence of intimate partner violence. I have come to the conclusion that in the matter of the number of male and female victims of domestic violence, in the words of Canadian Senator Anne Cools, 'Symmetry and reciprocity are the order of the day'. Your poster asserts …

Is there any reason you feel the MRM is more persuasive? you feel My feelings aside for a moment, I'll stick with my thoughts: I think that the Men's Rights Movement is more persuasive because the arguments put forward by the Men's Rights Movement are more rational. Much more rational. If a governing body is going to write legislation that determines how people are going to be treated based on their sex, then it had damn well better do it based on truthful testimony and unsullied data. I'm afrai…

Yes, but the pain of childbirth is kept almost sacred because men will never have to go through it. Would it be good to exaggerate the pain as a way to magnify the mother's sacrifice? Some honest woman once divulged that suffering from kidney stones was worse than childbirth. Men and women get kidney stones at an almost equal rate. And kidney stones tend to sneak up on you rather than give you the nine months warning.

Yes, its sexist. It sounds like a test of how willing you are to toe the line. and they want me to do a situational work prompt after interviewing before they let me in... So you've already had the interview?
