Why not just view a video of pretty ponies you sap? Hell, Peterson himself would probably argue that life is pain. Good luck...

Fred Douglass coined the term "wage slavery." That was after he achieved freedom from actual slavery. Meanwhile, the Irish.... Essentially, it means you don't enjoy your job, and serve as s tool for someone else. And you would rather do anything than go to fucking work. That's the way most people have lived for hundreds of years. They called it, "wage slavery."

Okay, I think JP treads lightly on the subject of women. I completely understand why, but still... He never demands that woman grow the fuck up, just men. Now, if I understand Peterson correctly, he doesn't think there is any possibility that women WILL grow up. So it's up to men. But he should support men's rights. Otherwise it comes off like someone whining.

"We are, as a sex, infinitely superior to men." Elizabeth Cady Stanton That's your glorious first wave feminist. Trust me, you don't want to hear what the second wave feminists had to say. Let's just say they wanted you dead. Also, Learn about the human ego. That's an extremely pretentious thing to say. I do alright.

I don't think activists or Muslims get a free pass. Completely agree. It's obvious. I used those (inflammatory) examples for obvious reasons. The bottom line -- and this should already be obvious -- is that we need fair, due process rights. That's it.

women a lot of power when you spoke about them. You’ve spoken as if they hold the ability to change society for men’s betterment Certainly they do. Or certainly they should be a part. I cannot honestly believe that you think women should play no part. But that's a male feminist for you -- disgusting, revolting, (person you wouldn't even want to look at) pig. It's not inconceivable that you are a nice guy. But you need to consider that you may be promoting a complete bullshit ideology.

Dude, it's not like I'm trying to describe rocket science; I'm explaining to you the very simple concept that, in the past, nomadic hunter gather tribes were egalitarian. Now every single anthropologist agrees with me: the people who have actually studied the issue. So I have no idea what you're complaining about.
/r/MensRights08/02/18 02:56 AM

Dude, you haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about. First of all, "nomadic foragers" are not the same thing as stationary societies. Are you capable of understanding that? It's a big, big deal, if you're going to learn to become an anthropologist. So let's take the Iroquois Federation: "The traditional society of the Rotinonshón:ni (Iroquois), "The People of the Longhouse," was a densely settled, matrilineal, communal, and extensively horticultural society." Get it? It wasn't a nomad…

You asked for it, so here it goes: Lee has spent a great deal of time with nomadic foragers in the Kalahari Desert, and he explains these dynamics as follows: Egalitarianism is not simply the absence of a headman and other authority figures, but a positive insistence on the essential equality of all people and a refusal to bow to the authority of others, a sentiment expressed in the statement: “Of course we have headmen . . . each of us is headman over himself.” Leaders do exist, but their influ…

nobody on the left is capable of either. As opposed to the right. They (you) are born truth tellers. individual rights But not for children. John Locke recommended that children go to work at the age of 3. collectivism of the left As opposed to the collectivism of corporations, which we support. We support this because we were funded by billionaires. The word "libertarian" was actually first used by an anarchist -- to describe both anti-capitialism and anti-statism. In short: you're either a dun…

So tell me about e.g. the Iroquois confederation Mostly stationary society. The Iroquois were certainly not a nomadic forager society. It's almost like you haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about. Hmmmm. Actually the Iroquois are surely one of the most interesting societies in human history. It is widely accepted that the US concept of "federation" was inspired by the Iroquois. So despite your ignorance, you've learned something today :) Edit: downvote all you want, it won't change …

I think you might be confusing their data. Yes, hunter gatherers were necessarily more egalitarian than later societies, but that doesn't imply there wasn't a hierarchy. People have always been born with different skill sets Every expert in the world agrees that nomadic foragers were egalitarian. Now, if you want to posit theories about "counter-dominance hierarchies", fine. But that doesn't change the original supposition. There is certainly no "confusion" regarding "data" here. I'd love to see your evidence for this position. I'm not sure what you're talking about. Are you talking about hierarchy? There is not a single anthropologist in the world who disagrees with my position: http://www.hup.harvard.edu/catalog.php?isbn=9780674006911&content=reviews And you perceive that to be an example of "most" cases? No, just a particularly egregious example.

The term "misogynist" has become ridiculous. So much for a person who hates women, it is used for the mildest of offenses. "No problem with cheerleaders? You're a misogynist!" Anyway, Peterson completely owned Newman in that interview, I agree. I'm just an armchair critic. But yes I'm saying that women deserve equal critique.

he has a profound understanding of how societies work. No he doesn't. For example he doesn't appear to realize that institutional hierarchies only arose after societies became stationary. Our "de facto" organization was egalitarian in nomadic forager societies. [irony of ironies, the truth is being downvoted] Men need to take responsibility for their decisions I agree. But in most cases men have little choice; eg if an old woman rapes a 12-year-old boy he has to go to work and pay child support.…

What he's saying is that men need to take control over their lives Well certainly I agree. But you have to admit, women also need to take responsibility in today's society. I mean women aren't even held accountable in the legal system. And that seems like the larger issue. I don't dislike Peterson; but I do think he's pulling his punches.

women should have all the rights with no responsibilities. It is somewhat incredible that people are still demanding (for the millionth time) that men take responsibility, even when we now have the stats. We know for example that women get sentenced to 40 percent shorter prison terms. Should men take responsibility for their actions? Yes, yes they should. But it's not like they have any choice anyway. If a 12-year-old boy is raped by an old woman he will have to pay child support. If Peterson wa…

Peterson himself, in defiance of his instincts, actually said this: he said men can't control "crazy" women. Well, if there were ever a time for women to step up and do the right thing and control their "crazy sisters" aka feminists, that time is now.

Women are treated like children by the courts. Yet they have more rights than men. Why in the world is Peterson claiming that men should "take responsibility" and "grow the fuck up" while teenagers are paying child support to their adult, female, rapists? Peterson is a tradcon, hence his popularity. Of course he's going to be popular because he debunks the easily debunkable wage gap myth etc. But at the end of the day he still demands everything of men, and nothing of women. He spends half of hi…

THIS IS THE FAULT OF MEN. Or at least, it will be in the courts when women sue for that sweet, sweet cash. Business men are faced with an impossible catch 22 -- favor women in the workplace or be sued. That's about it. So men can be sued on TWO fronts. If you're worried about sex lawsuits, hire a woman; when you hire a woman, don't you dare say "hi". This is deliciously ironic. Corporate capitalists have supported feminism in the same way that corporate capitalists supported fascism. Anything to…

You people don't understand Trudeau. Maybe Pigman does. Essentially, he is trying to maintain all the particulars of corporate capitalism and wage slavery while deflecting to feminism and identity politics. Make sense? He is trying (and succeeding) to make sure everyone remains a wage slave, while pimping feminism and diversity and LGBTQIRS rights and "let's all have a big groups hug." Fucking swine. (sorry pigman)

You agree that partisan bs has no place here No I don't agree with that. If a policy is partisan it should be critiqued, not automatically condemned. About 90 percent of Democrat/Republican policy is shared -- corporate capitalism. But there are a few differences. Sure. Men have higher upper body weight and differently shaped hips. So when men sit they naturally want to spread their legs a little bit. And there's also the "balls" factor; this is overplayed by critics, but the truth is that yes, men like to give their guys (balls) a little breathing room. So when men go to work or whatever and sit on the subway/bus, they tend to spread their legs a little. Sometimes a lot. But when someone else comes in on the public transport, 99.9 percent of men make roo…

You need to go your local patriarchy meeting, where we dream up ways to oppress women. THAT'S WHAT WE DO. Also, you can receive a "privilege" payment in the mail. It depends on whether you're white and/or male.

It's actually one in one. EVERY woman is raped, constantly, by the patriarchy. Women have to deal with eg manspreading, mansplaining, tooth paste, and the pay gap. I only have one arm -- I lost the other in a workplace accident -- that's why I fully support the feminist attempt to create equality. Soon, women will be losing their limbs at the same degree as men.

Feminists are demanding a higher degree of conviction rates for supposed "rape." The UK Legal system is currently collapsing due to this demand -- men falsely accused of rape. Leftists websites remain curiously silent -- even though they would rightly condemn such abuse of power if an activist/Muslim were falsely accused. I am a leftist on many issues. But the current left is a pathetic cuck owned entirely by feminists.

Obama, Trump, Hillary have no place in this argument. Are you out of your fucking mind? Are you aware that Joe Biden himself BRAGS about the "Dear Colleague" letter!? Look, I loathe in more or less equal parts the Republican and Democratic parties. They are both shit on men's rights and most other issues. But you are just being dishonest. Partisan? Sorry, forgot the /s . Of course men can be raped by women. In fact there have been about a dozen posts here about women in Africa literally drugging a man or putting a gun to his head and demanding he have sex with them. If that isn't rape, I don't know what is.

Quite right. If there is actually a "rape epidemic" on college campuses, feminists should be demanding complete sex segregation to keep women safe. In fact they should be demanding male only/female only colleges. If there was a one in four chance of me being stabbed in a particular neighborhood I would stay the hell away from it. Feminists know they are lying pieces of shit.

Yep. It's as predictable as it is pathetic. If you're going to spout hate speech, at least have the balls to stand by your words. I have much more respect for feminists like Andrea Dworkin and Sally Miller Gearhart than I do today's breed. The pioneering man-haters didn't try to backpedal when people called them haters. They said, "Yes, I hate men, and I think they should be slaughtered." Today's feminists spout hate speech, then call it "ironic," then play damsel in distress when the inevitable…

"just a toy for bourgeois princesses" This is essentially how Rosa Luxembourg and Mother Jones characterized feminism during their time. Mother Jones in particular found the idea that women could be "liberated" by work absurd, given that she spent most of her time trying to eliminate chid labor and aiding striking coal miners. let me tell you that this gets you even more rancor than if you do it the from the standard right-lib or tradcon direction. One of the reasons corporations are pushing feminism so hard is that it's a cash cow (in the short term; the long term prospects are grim). Feminists are highly manipulatable, act in a herd like fashion, and women control 80 percent of consumer spending. What they haven't figured out quite yet is that this only works for certain types of products. Turning the incredible hulk into a woman and ruining Star Wars is not going to increase your bottom line. Another great thing about feminism (from a c…

Fun fact: the "future is female" slogan derives from Sally Miller Gearhart, a second wave feminist who literally believed in killing off 90 percent of the male population. So she meant it quite literally. Gearhart also founded the first gender studies class.

Women have in group bias, men don't. Whereas there is a long history of male politicians catering to women -- even at the expense of men -- females have yet to demonstrate that they are capable of empathizing with men to any significant degree. That would be the politically incorrect answer. There are certainly exceptions (the honey badgers for example) but so far they appear to be outliers. Hopefully women will prove me wrong and begin to dismantle the hate movement known as feminism.

This article is from 2014, and provides a perfect example to how we got to where we are. Witness: Katie Russell, from Rape Crisis, said: "It seems highly unlikely that of those that do get reported [in Lincolnshire] a third are not pursuable and no crime has taken place. Feminist groups pressured police to achieve a higher arrest/conviction rate. As a result they started withholding evidence and charging/convicting innocent men. Not that that wasn't already happening, but feminists made the situ…

This is the best article I've ever read on the feminist war against due process rights on college campuses. The examples cited are absolutely appalling. Ironic that for all the talk about "safe spaces", universities have become profoundly unsafe for men; and I don't mean having your feelings hurt or encountering a triggering belief, I mean having your life destroyed due to a drunken hookup or a spiteful ex. The author also raises the important point that poor men do not have the legal resources …

I disagree with /u/Meyright that you shouldn't discuss oppression. Oppression means "cruel or unjust treatment", so by definition it accurately describes the condition of men and boys in Western societies. However you may want to avoid using the actual word "oppression" since it rubs men the wrong way; they don't like being viewed as victims. Discrimination is a good alternative. I also disagree that you shouldn't mention feminism. That would be like a group of black activists in the 50's gettin…
