Women are naturally, on average, much more passive or indirect than the average man. So I’d argue you have to be a bit judicious about when you’re really getting nagged at vs just being frustrated they won’t ask you for something directly. Personally, I’d much prefer to just be asked to do something directly instead of being waterboarded with a bunch of other nonsense or lead up. But sometimes that’s just the way things are. Important we don’t fault women for how they are otherwise we’re no bett…

Yeah that’s definitely a good one too, actually probably more important than the two I listed. It’s also a likely strategy a woman’s attorney will try to take to get it dismissed. I drafted the prenup and have proof it was in her possession for over a year before we ultimately signed it a week before the wedding. We updated it a few times in between but ultimately I can demonstrate it wasn’t sprung on her last minute when wedding plans were already in motion.

Having just gotten married (with a prenup) I did a lot of research and talked with a few attorneys. The two main reasons judges would throw out a prenup from what I learned: 1) if there are elements that can’t legally be written off in the prenup, or too many elements in the document. Child care or anything to do with child custody arrangements are off limits. Trying to control too much via the prenup leads to higher chances of dismissing the document 2) if the language / balance of the power ex…

It’s porn for women. Not literally, but the same complaint commonly thrown against men’s heavy use of pornography is that it sets unrealistic expectations of a partner.

she can freeze her eggs, and if you’re still together when you both want kids you’ll still have sperm then. No reason for you to freeze now unless you have other health complications.

Quite the contrary, we get a nice threatening letter when we turn 18 that says it we refuse to register we can be criminally prosecuted

Any ‘ism’ that doesn’t make room for civil discourse and rational debate will by default tilt to its extreme over time

it assumes that everyone finds equal value in these activities. My girlfriend sends out Christmas cards because she cares about that. It all comes down to being an adult, owning your own happiness and not expecting people to cater to your whims

Why are men responsible for the orgasm of both parties? I don’t really mind but sometimes I’m tired and don’t feel like putting in that much effort. Selfish? I don’t think so, it would appear normal in any other exchange. so rather than not having an orgasm, own it yourself and make sure you get what you want out of the interaction.

and in the next breath she’d complain about being objectified when she’s putting herself up for sale willingly.

They’d still blame ‘toxic masculinity’ for making them feel so unsafe they have to blockade the seat next to them.

To be fair to Mark Hamill, he was pretty vocal about disliking the direction of the new films. Maybe that’s why they killed him off

Star Wars is seeing a decent down turn in approval ratings / subsequent box office $$’s after the last Jedi.. which was pretty heavy handed in the SJW department.

they’re starting to eat their own. This has been a general trend for many identity politic groups as the competition for the peak of the victim hierarchy intensifies.

definitely. opinion on glamorizing a suicide aside, I think season 1 was at least well written. season 2 was lazy and they had clear political and SJW nods pretty regularly. they'd basically steer the viewer to start to think "hmm maybe Hanna was a bit of a slut," then throw it back in your face for thinking that even though they lead things there

My gf watches it and towards the end the mom actually says that every single woman has experienced sexual assault or rape. Then they had a montage of every female character in the show (even the lesbians) tell their story of getting assaulted. They really went at the “males bad, females good” mentality at full throttle.
/r/MensRights26/05/18 04:38 PM

Give that trend another few years and it’ll be labeled as sexism. Just like the women’s razor prices being more expensive and feminists crusading against it

same. and now I get to be involved as a witness for lawsuits because the settlement / alimony / child support all finished and if they can’t get more money then may as well waste his.

Ultimately people discriminate to their tastes and traits of innate biological fitness. This is a good thing. The bad is comes when one group is demonized for doing this very natural thing while the other group is celebrated.

Yup. I've read enough on the internet to know when someone is trying to poke fun or provoke a reaction but this was perfectly rational in citing the shortcomings of the study and questioning the conclusions drawn from it. Its a joke, regardless of background.

Wow, I read this in the science sub earlier and the top rated comment basically explained the shortcomings of the study based on sample size and assumptions. Totally objective comment. Thousands of upvotes. Said comment is now removed lol I don’t know what their rules are but still...

it’s not surprising, if you look at divorce court legal strategy I’m sure you’d find equally disturbing text / best practices listed out. I believe the attorneys and the courts were actually incentivized to have higher settlements. Not as dramatic as this book but systematic and integrated into our legal system is just as scary.

Woot woot! I scored a 77! Shoutout to my parents and grandparents for working hard to give their kids a better life. I will apologize for none of it as that would disgrace the sacrafices of those who came before me.

Half will be snowflakes that cant handle the real world and the others are being brainwashed into approaching life with a chip on their shoulder and to underachieve.

Scariest thing is they buy what they're selling and stand by the concepts that were being taught. I'd pull my kids out of that school if I were in that position

I didn’t see in the article, was the girl penalized in any way for bringing the false accusation? Or did they use some mental health scapegoat?

can confirm as the eldest of four kids whose dad got dragged through the dirt. Ten years later I'm the only one that talks with my dad, and I subsequently don't talk to my mother or siblings anymore. It only takes a few years of communication shutdown and badmouthing an individual to brainwash impressionable minds that someone is the bad guy.

I'd be inclined to think the scenario is that the party wanting to have the child didn't push for the financial support so the system honored their agreement. The issue is when it is requested despite the man not agreeing with the decision, and the precedent is set to heavily favor the woman's choice. Even if you agree to forfeit rights or otherwise escape financial responsibility as a man, you can still be demonized publicly as a dead beat so I think the problem goes deeper than just the legal …

What if the logic gets flipped? Many men lose their lifestyle entirely in divorce settlements. If women argue they are accustomed to a lifestyle what makes that argument less valid for the man, assuming he was the bread winner? Just food for thought, I wonder if any attorneys ever presented that argument

I focused on questioning the differences in maternity and paternity leave lengths, while advising that they not associate the difference in gender representation in the industry with a difference in opportunity but rather with a difference in desire. The company should focus on hiring those that will best perform for the needs of the stakeholders, not change to accommodate the desires of sub-optimal workers.

the problem that should be called into question is not whether domestic work is still work with some amount of value, but rather the relative value courts/society give to that domestic 'half' of the work. half being the problem, because it is a half-assed and over-simplified way of approaching division of assets post divorce. We've pushed even further away from a fair middle ground in reality when we often see much more than half being taken. I think that is the sentiment, not that domestic work…
