Exactly. I don't believe it's possible to not let jealousy in, it's part of human nature and I want, need, my husband to be jealous for me. He definitely knows I'm protective and can become jealous if needed 😂 we value what we have and I think that's healthy. I don't subscribe to a lot of modern dating mores though, I think they're destructive 🤷‍♀️

Sometimes you DON'T need to do it eloquently. Here's an example: Jan 2018. I was playing a videogame while my boyfriend was packing. It would have been our 11th year dating. I was playing a game that had nothing to do with romance. Suddenly... I stopped. I turned to him and I said: "I'm getting married this year." He froze, looked at me, and said "... Am I going to be there?" and I dead-ass looked him in the eye and told him "You tell me." We then had a conversation about it and none of it was e…

Cash flow your BA if you really want it. Don't go into debt. Work your job, take night clases. Your household income should go towards that once you're married. Maybe it'll take 6 years? Who cares. You'll be debt free and have a kid or two by the time you're done. The real question is how much MORE money can you REALISTICALLY earn with a BA vs an AA in your field? If the degree costs more than what you can reasonably earn in the field then it's not worth it. Just because your parents are strict …

Feel free to reach out! It was really difficult and NOT something I would recommend. One year of solid courtship is more than enough to see if two people are compatible and are willing to build a life together. If he's not willing to commit in one year, it's time to let him know what you need and if he won't hear you...

The great news is that you're religious. The second great news in relation to this case is that you're a virgin. Don't have sex before marriage. My husband and I waited 4 years as adults before we had sex together. I wasn't a virgin but he was. I wish I could do that one over but the Lord brought us together for a reason and I'm just thrilled to be with my husband. You really do hold all the cards here. Date someone for one year intensely. See him every day if he's serious. My husband saw me eve…

Not sure where you heard that because it's not true. If you do beleive heresies however a great place to dissect why you beleive in something that isn't biblical can be found in that subreddit. I'm not here to be your recipient of catholic hate, I am your sister in Christ.

It's my pleasure. Just because you're making a religious choice, doesn't mean it's a bad one. God has limited our exposure to sin by giving us his laws to live by, and we can absolutely choose to disregard them. However, we know what happens when we do, and the consequences of it. I think it's really smart, and a wise thing to wait until marriage. I didn't, and I wish I had. Remember, it's no one's business but yours and you CAN meet someone that feels the same way. Best of luck to you!

For context, I'm religious too, and waited 4 years to be with my husband. I wasn't religious when we first started dating, mind you. He was the one that wanted to wait, and as impossible as that felt at the time I did wait. If you're associated with a church you'll have a easier time finding a guy that's willing to wait vs trying to make a relationship work with a non-religious guy. I'd say get married early to someone you know is your best friend, but the best way of figuring that out is if you…

No worries. By constantly messaging him, talking to him, and engaging in HIS childish games after you told him that you wanted to be direct and to the point and don't like playing games that's a demand on him and his time. Men communicate through their behavior. If he is thrilled at the opportunity to be with you he will move mountains. If he's lukewarm, not interested, he'll be cold, distant. Your time is definitely better suited attracting a more mature man who's ready for a real relationship …
/r/RedPillWives24/08/19 02:55 PM

Why are you demanding his time? He's clearly not interested. He might be handsome but his behavior is a massive turn off. Switch shifts, get some clarity and just be professional with him.

I do eat for comfort fairly often and it’s so hard to give that up when I have a lot of overwhelm and stress in my daily life. I don’t know what to replace those little comfort snacking rituals with. It's not hormonal, it's not estrogen, it's the types of foods you're eating and snacking between meals. You're killing the BMI game. You might want to change tactics if you don't like your legs? Is that the only line of the paragraph you read? It's absolutely necessary to shift the way we think of those qualities we call feminine Right here it is plain as day that she says that these qualities are THOUGHT to be feminine, but, the implication is that they AREN'T. Do you think that signing a form that denies parental rights is equal to having a physical abortion? I understand your points (here and in the other thread) and at least you're posting them coherently, but its incredibly easy for a man to walk away from a pregnancy/child than it is for a woman. I maintain that because I can't get my boyfriend pregnant, and he can't carry my child, this issue will forever be unequal. Additionally, once the child is born - once it exists, regardless of how the par…

Others will have a stronger opinion of your argument (and you) if you use confident language without derogatory language (like calling your opponent a "bitch," or "dick," for example). So, flies (spectators) will be attracted to your positive and confident demeanor (honey) than if you are angry and vitriolic (lava). See what I did there? I broke it down…

It certainly isn't fair to say because women go through emotional trauma Just as a reminder, there is also painful physical trauma as well. Do you think most mothers (let's be honest here, it's typically young poor mothers) want to have the baby? If that isn't the case, why wont they have an abortion? Do you think its fair for only one of the parents to have to bare the financial and physical burden of raising a child?

Bigger picture/greater good. It's about the child's future, not the parents. Abortion isn't an easy option either by the way. If you haven't seen this thread, scroll down to the huge comment. There's a first person account of how abortion feels like. It isn't just the man's life that's altered, either. She too is "trapped" for 18 years.

Dude... <baffled> Women couldn't carry title, own property or couldn't vote in elections. This literally means that women were not people under the law until the early 20th century. They were baby factories to continue on the lineage. And, if she had to work she was poor, looked down on as lowly, and any income she brought in went to the her husband/father. If a woman can lift as much as a man, then she fits the job description. If she doesn't and she's working as a firefighter, then it doesn't add the bigger picture. Maybe there should be stricter physical requirements to become a firefighter. How is that a woman's fault? If she applies for the job and gets it how is that her fault? I would like to refer back to kloo2yoo's proposal of "PEACEFUL, but direct" action. I think that part of that peaceful process is going to be accepting our own hand in creating this feminist movement, and being humbled by the fact that our gender has a horrific track record. I fear that if we are unable to come from this position, we will never be able to truly appreciate both genders equally. Not see them as the same, but equals none the less. I am curious to know where you stand on the oppression olympics: do you think men or women generally have it worse in life? I wouldn't say "worse" in life, but women, on average, are still not making the same wage for the same job performed by a man. If a woman is worth .75 to a male dollar, how is that equal and just?

The treatment you deem gendered would apply to a woman if 1) she didn't have primary custody and her ex-husband shacked up with another woman and 2) if her husband filed for spousal support because she made more than he did. There are women that are also in these terrible situations.

I would not change anything about male/female relationships, it is not possible to do this, despite what some dumb feminists say Then why are you participating in MensRights movement? Because the problems that feminists want to fix are the same that MRAs want to fix: they're human problems. Feminism is just a game for silly middle class women to play, all other women don't care about it at all. Then the same can be said of MensRights.

Why is it that abortion is seen as an easy-peasy option? It is a woman's right to make that decision, yes, but it is still a painful, and emotional decision that will last her the rest of her life.
/r/MensRights04/10/10 07:56 AM

Exactly, so if the degree's of responsibility are exactly the same why are women afforded the opportunity to negate those responsibilities and not men? The degrees of responsibility are the same once the child is born, however the choice is the woman's and the woman's alone to decide if she is to give birth to the child because she is the only one that is capable of giving birth to the child. And because of that inequality (males are unable to give birth) this issue will be forever unequal.

Some women get pregnant on purpose, despite not being able to take care of the child, to attempt to force the man to marry her. Some men poke holes in their condoms, deception is deception. the father should not be liable for child support payments he can't make. Child support isn't for the mother, it's for the child. A woman may spend time, but if the man isn't willing to be there 100% of the time he should have to pay child support. She's living with her consequences, so should he.

WARNING: WALL OF TEXT but please read because I make AWESOME points You seem to be arguing that no woman in her right might would ever get pregnant and carry a baby to term. No, what I'm arguing is that you believe that a woman should have to carry a child she doesn't want, and I followed with evidence of what she has to go through to fulfill a private, non-legal "agreement" that she no longer wants any part of (for her own personal reasons), and you're projecting your previous experiences onto …

1) Good faith effort? 9 months of constant body/psychological change that will alter the mother for.ever. Sometimes mothers just die after giving birth, too. Childbirth (Imagine your urethra expanding 5 inches, then pushing out a 9 pound mass), THEN only to experience all kinds of emotional (post-partum depression, hormones going insane, exhaustion) and additional bodily changes (random lactation, bleeding for an entire month or more, vaginal infections, etc.) All of this for a baby she doesn't …

Whats your point, bc, you didnt actually make one. My point is that because the fetus grows within the woman's body, alters her physically and psychologically for 9 months this is a greater investment than squirting some semen inside of someone for 30 seconds. Therefore you only get a say what happens to the woman's body when you get to be pregnant. That's why the choice is still hers. This. Will. Never. Be. Fair. Ever. I'm sorry.

I didn't make it abundantly clear in my initial post that my views are shaped by having a strong, intelligent man in my life? A man who has changed the way I thought about the world and equality? I want to live in a world where he and I, and the children we will eventually raise together, will have every opportunity and benefit, not because of our gender but because we're people. Okay, so we agree on one thing: Separately sperm and egg are useless and cannot hurt anyone. Okay. Check. Together...however...(follow me on this one)...they produce...(here it comes) a fetus (!!!) which later grows and is born a person that needs attention and financial support. See what I did there? I led you to it! That fetus, interestingly enough, is incubated within the female's uterus, which is within a female's body. I can't tell you what you can do with your sperm, but the minute that sp…

I went back to the original post, reread it, and the following posts. Here goes: No, you didn't, but what you propose assumes the two are equal. They aren't. A man aborting his rights? You're playing with semantics! You can't abort your rights, you already have them. You can deny your rights. So, a man has an unwanted child within his 'girlfriend'. He denies his rights and can walk away - Easy. Clean. What is the equal action for the woman carrying the child to take? Abortion of the fetus? Well,…

It's still not a derogatory term. It's a political system. I would never call you a patriarchy. C'mon. Additionally, you're justifying bad behaviour: just because feminists use derogatory, slanderous language towards men does that make their claims against men more valid? Does that give MRAs the right to use them back? No one should. We should rise above it.

This isn't about the male weltanschauung. I really want to go through each point you've made, but it's pointless at this juncture. If men had to go through the same psychological damage as to the women who have abortions have then this would be an equal fight. This issue will always be unequal because it's the woman's body that is altered forever, where as if the man wanted to, he could walk away. Ever hear of the term "dead beat dad?" But there can never be true equality on that issue: The fetus is housed within the body of the woman, who, during pregnancy, experience astronomical biological and psychological changes. Men during pregnancy do not. Therefore men have no say on what happens to a woman's body, in the same way that women have no say on how and when men emit nocturnal emissions. That's exclusively male, as pregnancy is exclusively female. You want to give me and my gender power over when and where you can emit? Did…

They're only offensive to you if you let them be. And that's why derogatory language, like slurs and insults, ruin arguments because for a fool-proof argument to be fool-proof the nature of your message must be heard and felt to the widest audiences possible. Consideration and politeness never go out of style.
/r/MensRights02/10/10 12:26 AM

Whoa. Totally not agreeing with you there. Would it be fair for women to impose their views on men's bodies for any reason? That answer, under MensRights, is no, therefore men have no say on individual woman's bodies, or the fetuses housed within them. Additionally, if you're incapable of supporting a child you shouldn't be engaging activities that can harm your finances and future wellbeing. It's personal responsibility.

I don't understand why these kinds of comments get down voted? No, seriously. It's entirely irrational. We are responsible for the actions we take in our lives.
/r/MensRights01/10/10 04:45 AM

Wait - ... WHAT? That's the exact frame of mind we're trying to eliminate. You don't want for people to take responsibility for the actions they knowingly engaged in? Every time you engage in vaginal sex you risk creating another person, whether you want it or not.
