Honestly curious because I work in the education sector and want to make sure I'm not guilty of doing this without knowing. Which behaviours are you talking about, I mean which behaviours are being rewarded/punished? Also when/how did you become aware of this precedent? Thanks!

It's more likely they will end up with too many in the support roles which will cause them to either rethink this whole approach to women in the military AND/OR lower the requirements for combative roles so more people can test for those positions. I think (I may be wrong) but isn't the USA the only country with this system? Most other countries just keep track of all 'potentials' via voting registration or the required one year service some countries have. All governments keep track of our ages for a variety of reasons, if another major war breaks out it would be extremely naive to think they won't use that information for drafting. They can always put them in support roles. You do know there are office related/non combative positions in the military right? Also engineering (also great since all those new wave feminists keep yapping about that field too), medical corps or many other fields where they won't need to be on the front lines or even really fighting.
