First date ...and ok with it?Hey, I'm very happy for you! Congratulations! You are right, we all have our own pace. | /r/Divorce_Men | 31/03/21 12:59 AM
First date ...and ok with it?I'd probably move out first though. Personally, I disagree with most of your post. (not saying you're wrong, I just disagree). But I 100% agree with moving out first. However, if OP isn't divorced yet, he needs to sit tight and figure that out first. If he moves out, it puts him in a HUGE disadvantage for his divorce. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/03/21 07:08 PM
First date ...and ok with it?I want to second this. I heard this advice over and over again when I was first going through it, and I wanted to trust everyone. But I didn't. I didn't truly believe it. I was different! I didn't need recovery time! I have a handle on things! My divorce date was Nov 7th, 2019. My ex wife has moved on, lives with another guy. She constantly complains about him, and how she doesn't know how to escape the situation. Meanwhile, I'm working on my demons that I didn't even know existed until recently… | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/03/21 07:05 PM
First date ...and ok with it?So... this was my same attitude when I was separated and not divorced. I felt I was ready, life is great, lets go move on with my life. Right? I ended up in two failed relationships, breaking the hearts of both women. I was NOT ready, and I refused to see it. I was deep in denial, but could never have said that. I cannot speak for you as an individual. But from my personal experience, I believed I was ready. And now it's 3 years later, I've been divorced for 18 months, and I'm STILL not ready. | 3 | Fear the Dad JeansI hear this. I have lost 20 pounds since my divorce. It was so satisfying to hear my ex make a comment about my lost weight. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/02/21 04:50 PM
Getting Divorced in HoustonMy divorce was amicable and cost me less than 1k. If you can negotiate without turmoil, it will save you so much heartache and money. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/01/21 10:13 PM
Daddy trump moneyWhen the last stimulus checks came in, my ex wanted to split it down the middle. I didn't think that was fair because I had all three kids. So we compromised. We gave each kid their own portion. Just a thought. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/12/20 08:04 PM

Actually buying your kids.My ex wife is doing the same thing. We've been divorced for 4 months, and she wants to move in with her boyfriend. She's talking about giving me custody when she finally does, as long as I don't sue for support. | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/02/20 05:38 PM
Red FlagsI was always confused as to how the conversation went so bad so quickly. I would apologize for offending her, but I tried not to take any blame. | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/02/20 05:30 PM
Red FlagsWe had once a month blowouts. First week of the month, 3 times out of 4, we'd have a weird fight that was somehow always my fault. I don't think our communication was the greatest. In the morning, she was a raging bitch. I'm not just being snarky calling her that, she called herself that. She would tell me to hit her with a pillow and tell her to knock it off, which I was not comfortable with. To be honest, the morning shitshow almost convinced me to break it off with her the first time I saw it… | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/02/20 05:20 PM
Red FlagsSingle and bad childhood probably means not LTR material Ah, this. I wondered why my ex gf was never married at the age of 40. No kids, despite saying she wanted one. That woman had some anger problems, especially first thing in the morning. Also major trust issues. She eventually broke up with me because my female friend asked me if I wanted to rent a room from her (she needed financial help) and I called my gf to discuss it. She was mad I didn't know her well enough to decide without discussin… | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/02/20 05:14 PM
I am finally divorced!Oh, congratulations! I was supposed to be in court today to do the same thing, but it got moved to tomorrow. ugh! Our timelines are pretty close. I moved out a year ago, kids are older, etc. I wish you well on this journey! | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/11/19 03:04 PM
DivorceI'm thinking that you are not getting any comments because you are in Russia. Nobody knows what advice to give. Honestly, I don't know what your options are either. But I hope everything turns out okay for you. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/10/19 05:52 PM
Now I’ve made her madI had a similar experience. I don't care what other people say, amicable is totally possible. My stbx and myself, while we argue at times, we've agreed on the terms of divorce and we're not fighting about that. In fact, I still hang out with her on occasion. That being said. The first few months can be a real hell. It was about a year ago, I was drunk and looking through her facebook posts, and I saw a message that said, "I love you" to a mutual friend. I was floored. Sure, we were talking about… | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/07/19 05:10 PM
Harassment denied'#metoo isn't just about rape. It's also about harassment. I think that's where some of the frustration is coming in. Also, the men who have tried posting #metoo have gotten a lot of hate. My wife posted it because of being assaulted as a teenager. My mother posted it because of being abused as a child. Others post it because someone randomly grabbed a boob or did a catcall. It's so not on the same level! | /r/PussyPassDenied | 20/10/17 08:13 PM
