1	The Hunt The "alpha" chimps get first dibs on the meat, then all the females are fed, and the lower ranking males get jack squat. It occurred to me while watching that our current society is quite similar. Quite the opposite. The "alpha" chimps get first dibs on the meat no matter who catches it, because low ranking chimps are worried about saying "no, I caught this" or even just "I want that" to the alpha male and getting physically brutalized as a result.
