How are those requirements at all arbitrary? To be of the legal age of majority and to be a citizen of the government you’re participating in an election for?

People love to falsely accuse us men of shit. This is not an attitude that will endear you to people. People responding directly to you aren’t making sweeping statements about anything else. It is probably better to, at least, think about what in your words or attitude gave many people a particular impression.

It’s hard, if not impossible for people to give you 100% perfect and applicable advice on the internet. Like you said, only you know your actual situation and all of its details. When you get online advice, you have to use discernment to know what applies to you and what makes sense for your situation or is good advice. This is very different from cherry-picking though; it will never serve you to only listen to those who agree with you, or say what you were already thinking. Similarly, picking a…

Yeah like, where do you even start with a question like this?

Yeah, great idea. Talk to someone through your robotic earpiece. How do you expect to actually connect with anyone?

Sorry if this is unsolicited or a broken record, but since you’re realizing right now that it’s mostly a “you problem” (ie self-isolating, projecting, catastrophizing, all this internal stuff that seems like the main problem), therapy is probably the biggest thing that I’d recommend. Having a better relationship with yourself, being able to unpack and understand some of this avoidance; what are you actually afraid of, what are you actually avoiding, what are the internal beliefs you’re working f…

I mean I don’t think it’s a bad idea per se, but it really depends on the person. I’ve never been the type who can’t be single or feels like they need a relationship to be somehow whole, but even with that aside, it certainly can cause insecurities like something is wrong with how you naturally are, you’re too much or too weird, that you need to hide or mold your personality in order to be loved (because of relationships where you’re an idea and not a person). On the other hand, for me at least,…

That’s what I mean. Just put more concisely I guess. Attention/sex can be easy to find, but genuine and fulfilling connections/relationships are difficult to find.

I relate a LOT to the extreme caution towards being used.

I think it’s also easier to basically not be single if you don’t want to be as a girl— but that’s ultimately pretty worthless. Even if you’re insecure or see your worth through having a relationship, it doesn’t help with that. it’s hard to find someone you really connect with, and that’s just true for everyone. It’s easy to get objectified, though. So you can receive a lot of low-quality attention or solicitation (or harassment), but it can be lonely in a completely different way, where you’re n…

It’s real life women who love the character though, that’s what OP is saying. It’s not in the show that women crush on him/are all over him, this is people’s reaction to the character.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
