Cis is not a made up term, it is a scientific word but was not originally intended for use in gender politics. It stems from chemistry to describe stereochemistry relating to alkene compounds, where CIS (Z-) denotes chemical groups on the same side as opposed to TRANS (E-) which denotes said groups in positions opposing one another.

I just want to clarify, I'm not saying that their deaths aren't horrible but all I see on my news feed these days is "women this, women that". And then for the chick to literally "laugh" at both the image and statistics really hit the nail on the head.
