Lol not wrong, reminds me of this classic, which I never figured out if it was parody or not... I'd challenge the idea that's only women that respond viscerally to mixed signals, though. And I hope the OP doesn't read this comment as advocating emotional abuse. Hopefully he can find someone emotionally mature that won't put up with this shit anyway.

First of all, forget about the "spark"; it's neither necessary nor sufficient for a long term relationship. Attraction can build over time and the spark can easily be confused with anxiety caused by mixed signals, or just be a function of how charming the prospective partner is. What you should be looking for is long-term material: is he fun, calm, caring, warm, reliable, makes you feel secure, etc. Then to your question: ultimately, it's a bit of a numbers game. I understand you don't want to "…

I do let the men I talk to now know I’m looking for something serious. You may need to be a little careful here. It's one thing to say that you're interested in something serious, it's another to push for something serious (that is, attempt to define the relationship) too soon, like after just a few dates. Also, there are good ways and bad ways to say you're interested in a long term relationship — I've seen way too many women complain from the start about men and how they're not willing to comm…

I’ve heard that guys like to chase a woman but I’m the type that will eventually make it known that I am interested in you and/or set up dates/text first, etc. I wouldn't say that most guys like to chase women, although the extra effort may give them more satisfaction when they succeed (kind of like a sunk cost fallacy). But more importantly, the "problem" is that if you're the one doing the chasing, the imbalance of power is not in your favor and you're more likely to interact with men who were…

It seems like the women you met were just not that into you. Seriously, you fucked up the kiss and that was it? I've met women (mostly with little experience) that were bad kissers but after a few pointers they improve rapidly. Not something over which one would break things off. Also tell them upfront about the reasons for your hesitations. It seems like the first one might just have thought you were not interested, especially if she was young. Just find women that are actually interested you a…

Sure, I'm not trying to invalidate your experiences or preferences. Although I would posit the possibility that you're not looking for women in the right places for you. I mean the biggest "dating app" where I live is Instagram and men just message women there. Risking a bit generalizing too much, you're more likely to get a certain type of woman there, versus say going to a book or a film club or to the library, for instance. That said, I doubt that the gender gap is widening. Depending on your…

From a man’s perspective, what do I need a woman for? For me personally, the only thing they have to offer is sex. Well, I tend to prefer the company of women to that of men. I was never into the teasing, boisterous dynamic, the sports-cars-women conversations. Women tend to open up more and it's easier to build intimacy. And there are plenty of non-vapid, Instagram/TikTok addicted women, at least in the 30+ demographic.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
