Thanks! I'm really looking forward to it! Any advice about going to Montreal in particular?

As a 20 year old American kid who's about go to Montreal alone for spring break, thanks. This is a nice briefing on going to bars alone.

In short, I think neediness is trying to appeal to someone else while persistence is doing something for yourself. Its a different mindset and a different attitude about how you handle yourself.

Thanks, thats all really great. As to why it feels like a game, well it feels like there's this cat and mouse type chase going on through subtleties and indirect dialogue and I'd rather cut through all that bullshit sometimes. Like I've felt like "wow, there's no way this girl isn't into me, even if I look at all her actions through the most negative perception, I still can't think of why she would act like this if she wasn't interested in me" only to find she's got someone else or is otherwise …

I asked out a girl just a week ago in a similar fashion, although with less cockiness. I got rejected but I'm glad I did it. It's no doubt a bummer but I'm still alive. Each failure takes a toll though and makes me more tired of the game. But yeah, doing the asking isn't hard, you just gotta say "fuck it" and jump in that freezing water head first without thinking about it.

Look, this is all shit I already know. I'm not hung up on any one girl anymore and I feel I know and like myself pretty well. My eyes are open and I see all these attractive girls everywhere I go, I just don't know what to do with that information. I say hi and make small talk but don't really know where to go from there. Still, this is a quality post for those with low self-esteem.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
