Yeah, dude, just talk to a lawyer. The sexual assault wasn't okay. You are okay. Talking to a lawyer doesn't mean you have to go public. Your attorney could send a cease and desist letter threatening legal action if she doesn't stop slandering you. But you need to talk to a lawyer if you want to go down that road, because you don't want to give her a case that you threatened or extorted her. Get. A. Lawyer.

I didn't see a screenshot that talks about after-the-fact revocation. I know that's a thing in some weird SJW circles, but I'd like to see a screenshot before I believe it's part of an accredited university's required curriculum.

I don't care about dress codes that much, though schools do have a duty to their students to ensure that they learn to dress and comport themselves in ways that won't interfere with their thriving in adulthood. I completely agree with the premise that school dress codes shouldn't be designed to protect boys from distractions. It wasn't Anne Wessel's problem that I stared at her thong in Spanish class every day instead of learning how to conjugate participles. It was my choice to look, as a sexua…

No. I won't tell a cop that, because I don't drink and drive. But if I'm a bit buzzed I will tell a random person at a concert to fuck off if they insinuate that I'm not a suitable temporary guardian for a lost child until its parents or an appropriate authority figure can take over.

For sure - but in that situation the guy was messed up, but not so messed up to be ignorant of one fact: he could be trusted not to kidnap the kid, while the people trying to "help" might or might not be trustworthy.

This comic contains a lot of truth mixed with a lot of falsehoods and overbroad generalizations. One big problem is that the studies of who does more household chores conveniently do not count traditionally male performed activities (lawn care, errand running, banking, budgeting, finance, home repair and remodeling, etc.) as "household chores". It also doesn't acknowledge that - even in relationships where both partners work - men, on average, work many more hours per week than women on average.…

Yeah, I'm not going right behind someone unless it's in front of the tv or whatever. Or unless I'm just getting on it for two minutes to get my heart rate up a bit before stretching and lifting. Even then I may walk to an emptier area.

Hey, I roofed my way through college, grew up on a farm, and have worked in construction and cement (before going to grad school). Now I'm a stay-at-home dad. You're over-simplifying things. Parenting young children isn't as easy as you make it out to be (it's also more physically taxing than most people who don't do it think). I would never claim it's the hardest job in the world (what a proveably false thing to say). But it is definitely hard in a different way than anything I've done before. …

Because his lawyer probably advised him to do it this way. She is probably judgment proof (ie - broke). At least she doesn't have the kind of money to put aside the six figures it takes to raise a kid from birth to 18. You sue everyone, separately and collectively. You say they're all 100% responsible and you ask for everything you can. Then (hopefully) the named parties settle instead of spending a lot of money defending themselves in a civil suit. Yeah, I'm anti-abortion, except in the cases you mention. So, while I acknowledge the injustice that women can unilaterally "opt out" of parental responsibility and men cannot, I don't think the proper response is to argue that men should also be able to abdicate their responsibility to their kid.

Yeah, this is super-cultural. When I'm in Turkey at a restaurant, employees will straight up take my kids from the table to go show people in the kitchen and play with them - both males and females. It's pretty awesome as long as you're not paranoid. I wish we were a little less neurotic here, as being able to pass your baby to a stranger to hold while you change a diaper or pay a bill is fairly common in many places and it's awesome.

Your anger is absolutely rational and understandable. And, still, it is only making things worse for you. So what are you going to do about it? Because while you are paralyzed by anger, society seems perfectly content to keep screwing you. And that's just not working. edit - I don't want to be callous or make you think that I'm saying it's easy or whatever. LOL, yes. Again, the legal standard is not drunk, though. It's being incapacitated. You can be incapacitated because of alcohol, drugs, and a number of other reasons. But you can definitely be drunk and NOT incapacitated legally. A lot of sex happens at that level.

We need to stop parroting the feminist lie that drunk people are unable to consent. That is most definitely untrue in almost every jurisdiction. The legal standard is that people who are incapacitated cannot consent. There's lots of test cases to figure out exactly where that line is. That said, in today's cultural and legal climate it's a good idea not to have sex with drunk people unless you're in a pretty good relationship with them already. Well, sure, but - in fairness - they were being realistic about achievable political goals. They already had an extremely unpopular cause - extending suffrage to any women. Although it was divisive within the feminist community, the majority adopted an incrementalist approach. They decided that, out of political expediency, they should work towards an almost impossible goal first without "polluting" their cause with actually impossible goals (universal suffrage).

You do know that entrepreneurs are self-selected, right? There's no one keeping more women from being entrepreneurs, except, maybe, sexist cultural forces. But isn't that excuse wearing a little thin in a world where women make up >60% of college grads and benefit from grading bias from elementary on? Female entrepreneurs also have tremendous access to start-up grants, coaching, and special workshops targeted to increase the number of women entrepreneurs. Once again, most women self-select again…

Man, I feel like you're making a lot of assumptions about my parenting. Don't do that. I don't think any of the punishments you mention seem excessive. But a lot of them mean nothing to a 14 month old either. In fact, none of them do. My boy was well into two before he understood the concepts of time outs or understood that there was a connection between any particular punishment and the behavior that preceded it. Anyway, glad you've found things that work for your family situation.

Hmmmm . . . I think you're right about some stay at home parents making it too hard for themselves. Not interested in Pinterest birthday parties, etc. And to some extent we make some choices that ramp up the difficulty, but are aware that they are costly: we try to cook healthy meals from scratch and organize lots of activities with other kids. Just so we're not promulgating feminist propaganda as legal fact, let's all be clear that in almost every state drunk sex is NOT rape. Sex with a person drunk to the point of incapacitation is rape. Sex with someone who is drunk but consenting in almost every state is simply sex with a drunk person (something that most adults have had and enjoyed).

Tell him or her, obviously. But this stupid clip is just furthering the roofie hysteria. Every study that has ever looked at blood samples from women who have claimed to be roofied in ERs and police stations has found that actual instances of date rape drugs in their blood stream are a small, small fraction of reported cases. And that's already a selection of women claiming to have been "roofied" who are voluntarily allowing a blood draw, so they'd be the ones most likely to have an actual case.…

Actually those numbers are the US shares of the FIFA distributions. It matters both because it provides some obvious insight as to how demand and revenue differs between the male and female version of the sport. It also matters because the women are comparing the revenues of the national team in a year when they were in the world cup to an off year for the men, which is ridiculous.

The number is something like $400 million earned by men from FIFA in WC years versus $14 million earned by women from FIFA in their WC years. This is like comparing sales figures between someone working overtime and someone away on vacation. Extremely deceptive and the media is eating it up.

You're getting awfully hung up on proper medical terminology with no real biological foundations for it. The medical community agrees to call unborn children "fetus" (after the first trimester, during which it's an "embryo"). But that's a term of art, not a claim that a viable child in the womb is somehow not "alive" in every meaningful biological sense of the term. Its trying to say leering at women makes them feel frightened (like someone with 40lbs on you staring at you in a sexual way) and don't do it. That's not quite what it's saying, though is it? That's a fair caveat, although I think the current rule of law is sometimes too restrictive as far as what's considered germaine background info. When the entirety of the prosecution's case comes down to the alleged victim's testimony then mitigating (not just exculpatory) character witness should be allowed: there some witnesses who are simply more likely to be trustworthy which matters a lot when the case comes down to witness credibility.
